Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

It's centralized though. Buterin and friends make the decisions, hopefully they make the right ones in the future.

It's no more centralized than any other coin with developers.  Vitalik is a figurehead and the creator but ultimately it's a decentralized currency, so saying it's centralized like some kind of Bitcoin maximalist is horseshit.

ethereum is a good altcoin now ETM have a good future for longterm investment..
Well I just gain $50 from yesterday pumps have been into a lot of profit since I got my ethereum so in my opinion this is a good alt that you should hold for occasional gains and they will hold on  the second spot for a long time.even if there's an ongoing litecoin development.

i was bought 10 eth at low price $282 , but i hold till now , waiting for reached $400 next year.
a lot ICO using eth as platform and i believe this coin will popular and supported by most users on this world , this reason i trust eth can reached more than $400 and stable with a good price.
better bought some eth when the price cheap , investment on eth is profitable maybe but dont forget , every investment have a risk just depends on you , want a long term investment or short term. just my opinion.

Low price of $282?
Hard to imagine that a year ago I couldn't even dream of ETH ever reaching even $20.  That seemed impossible to me.

No one will give you good advice.
But mine advice - Keep amount you can easily lose, this market is overvalued for now Wink

ETH is probably the only coin out there that isn't overvalued right now, including Bitcoin.
OP, you should be buying as much ETH as you can at these prices.

Re: Authorship - Seriously, What's Going On?
by

This is the most confusing ICO to date. Has anyone heard from the devs?

They literally let their coin drop to less than a penny due to all the (justified) negative speculation.

Everyone was calling it a scam, and all the devs needed to do was make a forum post here and clear everything up. It would take no more than a couple minutes. But as far as I know, the dev has been completely silent.

So, does anyone have any information on this? Devs, are you alive? Do you care about your project? Why don't you stick up for it after everyone bashing it and calling it a scam?... Or, is it in fact a scam? Wouldn't be a wise thing to do considering you're located in the US...

Yes, I received my tokens. But that does not mean the project is legit. We need to hear from the devs. Their silence is killing their own project, their tokens are essentially worthless. They need to start speaking up and convince their investors they are a legit project.

They just emailed us telling everyone to "hold and buy more."
This is just a terrible scam no matter how you look at it.

is this the end of the first self mining smart contract that called minereum ?
i hope this project is too good to be failed

You can sell the bottom or you can sell the top

You can buy the top or you can buy the bottom.

Altcoins under 2mil supply  and listed on 1 or more major exchanges are literal gold , the project can have no devs, a whitepaper written in crayon, and it'll still get pumped repeatedly.

Notice how the bid book is always stacked right below current price? Its being accumulated while everyone buys the top of bitcoin and sell the bottom on alts. Supply is everything, only alts with a non inflated supply in the atmosphere will survive, alts with extremely low supplies will be accumulated to pump at a later date.

That being said, the devs really should give some progress updates, either way doesn't matter. The tree has been shaken, now the apples will be placed in the basket.

Then why not buy more?

I think this is the end, to be honest.
Minereum World App, if it really ever does come out, is literally the only thing that could ever revive this coin.

I use 2 gwei in this it says fail? how much gas  will I use?
gas 21000 above, below 21000 you will get error
so 21 gwei above is the gas price.
how about the gas limit? is it okay to put 100000?
thanks

EDIT: I use 22 gwei now. still fail, what wrong with this, tsk

Use 80 gwei and learn how to read an ETH contract.  Or just buy on Etherdelta.

I think as more and more MNE gets burnt, the total supply will become lesser hence the price will go up, assuming the total demand stays.

I'm sorry to be this cruel....but it's going down to probably about 1/3 of what it is now. Yes 1/3.  All that is going to be burned has been burned.  This is it.  If the dev doesn't release an update, it's not going anywhere.

I have some questions:

- How has this coin been distributed in the beginning?
- Was it like PosToken does?
- Was there a hodler bonus? Or only a one-time distribution?

Distributed via self mining genesis addresses.  So they will keep making more MNE for years and years.

Re: EBTC website down and twitter gone!!!

wow, I think this was a really big scam... A lot of people trusted the team and they just scammed all their followers... I hate those devs, they promising and then theyre dumping on their community..

Scammers are really stupid because they can be successful if they are really interested in developing this project. But what they want is just to rob the money of the investors as quickly as possible.

Has it occurred to you that making 500 of these such coins and watching people like you fall for every single one of them is easier than developing one coin til it grows to 500x its current value?

I'm on the telegram channel and it looks like the website is down and the devs are nowhere to be seen. Anyone got more info lol?

Why on earth would you invest in something called EBTC?
These people have added "e" to everything and recreated it, even eLTC3.  Makes no sense.  Yes they are gone and nobody will be refunded.  This could frankly have been spotted as a scam a mile away.

Re: Coinexchange.io - Reviews
by
sandler425
on 05/10/2017, 01:33:39 UTC
I recently tried to withdraw about 0.3 ETH. My coinexchange wallet says transaction completed and gives a TXID.

However, that TXID cannot be found on Etherscan and my MEW wallet does not show the incoming ETH either as pending or completed transaction.
Seems very strange, if it was just a matter of them being cheap on gas, it would still show as pending?

I am having the same problem.

Same problem as well, tx hash is 0x33ea5a9f100636e9c18066b0ac97898267f0d34a1a809aceed2eeeb9518def0d and not showing up on etherscan. Transaction was initiated 14h ago.

Raise a support ticket. They said it was orphaned withdrawl (it left my exchange wallet but didnt leave their bucket.) They had to manually send me the ETH and I got it this morning.

They said mine was an orphaned withdrawal too but I haven't gotten it yet.

One guy just dumped ELIX at 4.5k sats. Probably clicked on SELL instead of BUY... lol...

Liqui.io on iphone + fat fingers = epic fail

now back to 5k...
Happy those who bought at 4.5k.
It wont happen anytime soon.

what are  you saying it's  dumping the price, don't  you see?

Yes. Nice dump. Weak hands flee and early investors take their profit.
All this also liked to a FUD about the coin supply which is different between the site and coinmarketcap.

Real supply if 16M
and close to max supply, actually we have:
The Top 100 holders collectively own 96.59% (16,069,765.64 Tokens) of elixir
Tokens Total Supply: 16,637,243.21 Tokens   |   Total Token Holders: 467

Source THE BLOCKCHAIN!!!
https://etherscan.io/token/tokenholderchart/0xc8C6A31A4A806d3710A7B38b7B296D2fABCCDBA8

Note: you will see 1 account with 76% of supply, this is NOT the dev... just the rolling amount on coinexchange's order book. Lots of volume!)

CONCLUSION:
The price remains ridiculously low even at full supply.
at $0.154226 per token, we have a Mcap of 2.5M, hence a good potential of growth of AT LEAST x10.

People dump without doing the math... I buy more :-)

Top holder is the coinexchange.io exchange itself dummy.

Re: Too good to be true

I am new at mining. I found a site for hardware, but it almost seems "too" good to be real.

Pls pm me and I'll tell ya the site. I'd rather not post it here. If it's not a scam, I don't want this site to get soldout! Some items require bulk, but not all of em. It's still almost "too cheap" with their prices.
My gut feeling says it's fake....but maybe I just found a great deal!

Any help is appreciated!

Pretty sure a lot of these "cloud mining" sites are HYIP Ponzi scams..

I wonder if there is a history of infecting user computers with wallet applications?
I mean its a lot of wallets and, like, you always install uninstall them.
Sure i have antivirus but its a lot of very complex code deployed around.

You really should only use open source wallets with community approval. That's it. Or make your wallets offline.

It's completely possible, yeah. But I wouldn't expect it to go back to the 40 cent range or anything just for this.
