It does't appear that it would be worth anything more than $160, since that's the most it will generate before becoming unprofitable (at least in the US using the average cost for electricity).

Does that mean you're not interested in the offers that have been posted so far? I only live a little over an hour east of you (CLE suburbs), so I'd be willing to pick them up in person if you want to save some money by not having to pay shipping. As posted above, I'm willing to pay .9 BTC for all three, which is pretty close to their projected maximum return.

Re: [WTS] BFL Single SCs 0.7BTC each shipped in US
by
sandrig

My main concern is that if I plugged it in today, at .7 BTC it would only stay profitable until approximately early July and would only generate about $700 (1 BTC - energy costs) before the energy costs exceed BTC production. If I pay .7 BTC (approx $560) and then also have to buy a PSU for about $60, that leaves essentially no profit margin.

Profit calculations: http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=1789546951&dcosts=610&diff_mincrease=25&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=60000&diff_mincreasedecrease=1&btcusd=820&dpowcon=275&btcusd_mincrease=1&pcost=.1210&calcweeks=45&dleadtime=0&action=calc

Is this the 60GHs model? If so, I'd pay .55 BTC for the miner and shipping to Ohio. Obviously the lack of a power supply and the older, less efficient chip design knocks its value down.

So you want us to pay .69 BTC for a contract that will only earn about .60 BTC if started right now, or .57 BTC if started tomorrow (after the difficulty level change)? No thanks.

[WTB] Old Butterfly Hardware
by
sandrig
on 22/01/2014, 18:29:09 UTC
I'm looking to buy older, used Butterfly equipment that is starting to near it's end of usefulness/profitability. The prices I'd ideally like to pay are below. Price assumes that it comes with a power supply. I'll also pay the shipping costs.

5-7GH/s Jalapenos - .005 BTC (These have already reached their end of life, so they don't really have any value)
25GH/s Singles - .25 BTC
50GH/s Singles - .50 BTC
60GH/s Singles - .60 BTC

PM me if you're interested in selling.

Try selling light bulbs.  Now that they are banned in the us you should get a decent markup.

This, I will buy the fuck out of incandescents.

I'll sell you a 60W for 1 BTC.

Re: [FS] BFL Jalapenos
by
sandrig
on 21/01/2014, 16:31:53 UTC
The jalapeno is really outdated and for the amount of power it uses won't break even. At current rates, each jally will bring in $1.17 per day in BTC, but the electrical cost to run it will be $.29, so you're looking at a daily profit of $.88. When the difficulty level goes up in a couple of days, the daily intake will drop to $.95, decreasing your profit to $.66.

So how is it "BS" to say that they're only worth a low amount (i.e. .0001) and pointing out that they won't ever ROI?

It is so unfortunate when people don't speak up when they buy something. Theres no way to verify if a trade actually occured then, which would reinforce if the seller was legit or if they were a scammer.

I'm sure that after the transaction is complete and the buyer has received the item both the buyer and seller will leave feedback for each other. If he just sold it the buyer probably hasn't received it yet, so it's too soon to see feedback. I don't see anything in this thread that would indicate any sort of scam.

I don't see why ya'll are loyal to slushys pool with all these bugs n errors and slush not even caring enough to fix them...I quit this pool like 8-9 months ago when they first started to happen...and looks like there still happening....lol good luck too all you crazy loyal slushy fans

Well, they do always get fixed. It may take a couple hours or even a day, but in the end you get everything you earned. Overall I still earn more here than from other pools.
