Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019?
by
satosibtc1000
on 29/01/2019, 08:48:58 UTC
I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?
Everything in the market is a bubble. I mean not only the cryptocurrency market but also ordinary shares. Bitcoin is a great and reliable technology that does not depend on any state and I think that the technology will develop. So I invest in bitcoin and not afraid that it will burst. The demand for it will increase over the years, even if it is banal to give an example that it becomes less. Bitcoin mathematically creates this for growth.

Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat?
by

In the next 100 years, do you think Governments will create their own cryptocurrency or digital currency that will replace fiat currency, i.e. coins, paper money, the paper dollar,  etc.?

If it does happen, will it be like bitcoin or will it still represent gold like how today's money works?
I think that the government with a strong economy does not need to create its own cryptocurrency, but as for the reserve, you can calculate bitcoin, but as an example, I can give Venezuela, since they had an economic crisis, the government to issue cryptocurrencies which is the solution to the problem.

Re: Why we want btc etf and bakkt?

Crypto is new technology. Our tokens are dozen times better than stocks, contracts etc. Why we are struggling with implementing new technology into old technology hoping that old technology influencers will let us in just because they are old guys with money. Tokens are new technology.

I made this topic to start conversation about showing middle finger to old technology with old guys on board. We need them only for volume. We dont need to hear all the time "we will let your new technology to be trade on our old technology platworm by old technology assets but not today ... maybe tomorrow... maybe next year"

What you think?
If fund managing cryptocurrencies, or big crypto exchange would implement facebook token - token like tether but backed not by USD but by facebook shares. We will be able to invest in facebook on binance using eth/bitcoin/usdt or even $ in future. What about tokenizing whole NYSE, german DAX, NIKKEI, everything ... even polish WIG (all stocks, indeks, materials etc). Stock by stock. We will be able to invest in every asset by buying simple token on crypto exchange by univesal currency - bitcoin.

Personally i would love that. My broker in my country allowes me to invest only in regional stocks. To invest in foreing asset i have to create special account with other broker with huge fees what makes it unprofitable to invest (not saying a word about daytrading). I think it would help crypto houndred times better than pushing new technology into old technology guys hoping that they will invest into new technology using old technology assets... its stupid. Let them invest in old technology assets by our new technology.

Lets create here possibility for everyone to trade on any asset. That will make not only crypto enthusiast to invest on crypto exchanges but also regular investors willing to invest in foreing stocks, mateials with lower fees. That will make whales from old technology came to us and say "teach us this new technology ... we are ONLY old guys with money"

Just imagine your porfolio based on:
Etherum, bitcoin, US facebook, google, amazon /German BMW and Mercedess / Russia Gasprom / gold, silver / Japaniese Toyota. Everything you will be able to buy on binance and store on trezor/ledger.
Very well described their thoughts. I agree with you and by the way I heard that there is a stock exchange, but I do not remember exactly what that produces tokenized shares of Apple and Netflix.

Re: Will 2019 take us to Moon or Mars?
by

Looking back at 2017 and 2018, one thing became clear and that is the never die attitude of the true Bitcoin investor/user. We are as stubborn and tough as a Honey Badger and we fight to the bitter end.

Ask yourself if any other disruptive technology like Bitcoin would have survived this long, bearing in mind that we are being attacked and challenged from all sides.  Huh

We took these challenges like scaling and we ran with it and our developers came up with a novel solution and now we are getting back up and running with that.

Let's wake the Honey Badger within us and continue the fight to Bitcoin to Mars!  Wink
I think that bitcoin is very promising in development and nothing has been known to the whole world as bitcoin ! Its getting smaller and the reward for the block will soon be reduced by 2 times ! So Yes, I think you need to fly to Mars !

Re: On merchants not willing to accept crypto
by
satosibtc1000

[...]

bitcoin is very volatile, such high volatility becomes a major barrier for merchants to accept bitcoin as a means of payments.

Imagine that in December 2017, some merchant accepted bitcoin as a means of payment, the merchant would be selling a car for $100,000, if in December 2017 someone had bought this car that costs $100,000, that person would have paid with 5 BTC and if that  car salesman  Hold the 5 BTCs, how much losses should he have these days?

Current bitcoin price:

1 BTC = $ 3560

5 BTC = $ 17,800

merchants will be afraid of this volatility

Bitcoin has not been legalized in many countries, so it would be difficult to have many merchants accepting bitcoin as a means of payment
On the one hand you are right the price is not stable, but bitcoin can be easily controlled in a regular currency. In General, it is best to take it and keep it when the price of bitcoin is low. You can make a profit out of it.

How much Bitcoin price Expected end of this year
I think the price will be above $ 9000 for one bitcoin. Many optimists are waiting for a new historical maximum this year, but I very much doubt. Growth should be smooth.

Crypto Zoo
E.1. "The Crypto Stork"

I am in the middle of creating a cryptocurrency cartoon show in Paint. I already have over 100 scenes done. The show is going to be based around cryptocurrency and will be a comedy show talking about recent events etc

The first episode is a play on "fork" and will talk about Satoshi's vision and Cash.

27 second clip https://youtu.be/vfT1Nwdeu8g

This clip will obviously have audio etc when finished and will be around 10 minutes long. I just wanted to show how the scenes will work. Subscribe if you like it, and you will get a notification when the actual video is live.

Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news?

Hello I think you need to work on voice acting and graphics. You drew a picture in Paint ? Maybe you need a better program. But in general, you're good.

Bitcoin has been growing by warriors for the last 10 years and I think it's silly to compare 2018 and 2019. You just have to be patient. Personally, I think that 2019 will be more productive for bitcoin and cryptocurrency in General.

I believe that the bear market is a temporary phenomenon and will soon begin a bullish trend. If you look at the market for ten years, we can say that the market as a whole is moving up.

Re: How to grow bitcoin price to $176,190,476.19?
by
satosibtc1000
on 22/01/2019, 15:29:21 UTC
How to grow bitcoin price to  $176,190,476.19?

Firts let's consider 3 different scenarios for bitcoin price.

1- Better Scenario: If we can move all the circulation money in the world into bitcoin, bitcoin price could achieve $176,190,476.19 per unit  of bitcoin.
All the money in the world are base in USA dollar.

Regarding Federal Reserv (M1 money in circulation) is 3.7 trillion U.S dollars and maximum amount of bitcoin issued e would be 21 million, so $3,700,000,000,000,000.00/ BTC21.000.000 = $176,190,476.19
Ref: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/moneysupply.asp

2- Scenario based on e-commerce sales worldwide in 2017: If every body that purchase on internet make it using bitcoin, bitcoin price could achieve $$135,333.33 per unit  of bitcoin.

In 2017, retail e-commerce sales worldwide amounted to 2840 billions U.S dollars , so $2,842,000,000,000.00/ BTC21.000.00=$135,333.33
Ref:https://www.statista.com/statistics/379046/worldwide-retail-e-commerce-sales/

3- Worse Scenario based only on PayPal's total payment volume last year 2018: Let's suppose that bitcoin, will be used  only by people who had been used some online payment processor, like a paypal because most people think that bitcoin "is so difficult to they use". $21,476.19 per unit of bitcoin.

In 2018 payment provider's volume amounted to 451 billion U.S dollars , so $451,000,000,000.00/ BTC21.000.00=$21,476.19
Ref:https://www.statista.com/statistics/277841/paypals-total-payment-volume/

Now, my personal opinion in order to answer the question.

Solution is simple, Putting up bitcoin as flow cash in the economic by rich bitcoin owners
I think a big drawback that stagnates the growth of bitcoin, is major amount of bitcoin are  owned by handful of a  rich person that are waiting some miracle on laws regularization and other handful of people, are waiting for it increase in value without, them having to do anything. If we want to make grow bitcoin we need to make the economy move with bitcoin; it is only possible if rich people on bitcoin are dispose to distribute satoshis for free, across purchase vouchers for example, bonus for markets and stores that urge to customers to use bitcoin or any similar ways that allow put satoshis like a flow cash in the economic. In such a way when people receive some satoshis they will have to spend it and they can not will keep saved anymore, in this way we can revolution the economic making grow Bitcoin.
Off course, rich people will have to see it like a investment because in the future they can get back your investment across bitcoin valorization, because if bitcoin increase in use, the price increase as we well know.

In other words give satoshis to any body and urge them to spend it

What do you think about it?

If  you liked my job, please support me.

Honestly, it was interesting to read about your theory of bitcoin growth, but I think that this is just a theory because I doubt that it is all possible in practice. Perhaps in the distant future this will happen because bitcoin, too, when it was worthless. Miracles happen.)

I cannot believe some people are still falling to these cheap scams. Ignorance and greed are deadly combinations even in crypto.
I don't understand either ! Especially when people come to e-mail a letter with a Google form where it is specified that it is necessary to register not the address of the wallet and the private key. And people are not strange doing it.

Here's a not so high definition picture of an island i went through last week to keep you investing in Bitcoin and not losing hope.

Bitcoin funded this tour through my hardworks for the year 2018 including my combined earnings through signature campaigns, trading and holding. Those stressful 12 months are all relieved with this wonderful nature. I didnt see any hindrance with the bloody market, thus, finding a way to still earn.

Its not bad rewarding yourself for your hardworks even once a year. Hope i can go somewhere with snow for my earnings this year. Keep investing people !

Update:
For those who wanted another photo, Here is the other picture captured by my partner. This is the view deck but Not a good quality also haha. Resolution problems.

Beautiful place and the most interesting thing that bitcoin has given you financial independence. Which country are you my friend from ?)

Hello I had a similar situation but I have not lost two-factor authentication, I was hacked and installed on the account. I also lost access to my account, it was not verified. I talked to tech support and they removed my two-factor authentication. Write to technical support and follow the instructions. It took me 2 months.

If the Apple will be used cryptocurrency to calculate it will be very good. There were a lot of rumors and I read that this currency is RIpple, but I think that it was the wrong information. I believe that such currency should be bitcoin. I can't find the source where it was written right now, but I know that Apple uses blockchain in its Park.

Well, first bitcoin did not grow to the level of 21 000 $ from reached 19 800 $ I understand that you mean that we have to be as one and move the price up but at the moment of greed in the market there is only a fear of loss.

Re: Why Do You Think 2019 Will Be Different?
by
satosibtc1000
on 09/01/2019, 11:30:19 UTC
Last year was difficult for investment and not the fact that 2019 will be successful but I'm more inclined that this year the market will begin to recover. For bitcoin is a huge market and there are very good and popular projects. The price of bitcoin does not affect the quality of the blockchain and so I think that very soon bitcoin will start moving up.
