[WTS] Gambling Site - Post Mortem
by

Hi,

Now's your chance to invest in a gambling app that could potentially be very lucrative for you.

My team and I built a gambling site that has five different original games and various crowd pleasing features (trivia, etc.). The app was very successful, but we are no longer able to continue running it due to legal regulations in our local region. We are the original developer of the app, so we will be able to modify it in whatever way is required in order for you to rebrand/redeploy the app. I'm available on retainer to maintain the code in production indefinitely.

Seeking a buyer who is interested in taking complete ownership of the app and rebrand it in a way they see fit. You should be familiar with your country's local rules and regulations regarding online gambling and you should be prepared to defend yourself and your corporation legally if needed. I am only selling code.

Expected sale price is in the 6 figures range. Recent revenue was in the low 7 figures, which can be discussed via PM.

The final bear trap
by
sbryant31
on 13/08/2014, 16:34:54 UTC
I lurk these forums quite frequently, and I've been hanging out since 2011. We all saw this dip coming. This is that dip where people say, "Fuck it, I'm done! It's not going to the moon EVER!" Pirate has stolen all of our money! etc..

The past is no reliable predictor of the future, but it's all we've got, so let's come up with some expected values based on intuition.

Let's say there's a 25% chance these bubbles will repeat themselves and over the next year we'll reach >$4000 level.
Let's say there's a 50% chance we'll stagnate at an average of $500 over the next year
Let's say there's a 25% chance we'll go to $0 over the next year.

0 * .25 + 0.5 * 500 + 0.25 * 4000 = $1250 expected value over the next year, for me at least.

So keep on selling and I'll keep on buying!

Re: VOLUME
by

we were seeing such low volume this week specifically because the price point we were consolidating at corresponds to "zero potential energy" in the oscillations caused by the crash. i am referencing a model none of you have seen, but maybe someone will know what i'm talking about Tongue

hint: price behavior after a sudden and significant movement can be modeled with the equations for a damped oscillator, like a sine function with linearly decreasing amplitude.

edit: here's another hint:

Don't try to act like your simple differential equation is somehow obscure, nub.

looks like a double apple bottom to me...time to buy

Ok, you go ahead and buy on the all time lows.

But if you don't mind, I will wait until confirmation that the bear trend is over.

(and I really really don't think that is now)

Wouldn't an All-time-low be, like, .005$?

This is more of a one-month low, is that what you mean? Sounds like a good time to buy

Re: how does it feel to sell <500 ?
by

I'll bite.

I cashed out 50% of my holdings at $600 (this morning) and I feel good about it.

I made a tidy profit (600% on average) on my most recent investment and I am essentially playing with free bitcoins from here on, so I'm gonna let it ride to the top and down again with the rest of my coins.

I have a recurring buy order that I will continue to let ride as well.

Jesus christ guys, seriously...

Be a little bit more responsible. Your investments increased in value by over 100 percent in a week. Now there's a BABY correction (On a weekend, no less) and you shit your pants

Backend web developer for freelance or btc startup
by
sbryant31
on 23/09/2013, 00:48:04 UTC
Overview
My name is Nick and I am a Software Engineer. I work full time as a backend engineer and database architect. I specialize in developing web applications that deal with a lot of traffic. Pretty much anything based on the web that needs back-end programming is my domain of expertise. I am not a designer.

What I'm Looking For
Two things. Freelancing or working for a bitcoin startup. I can work for equity if I believe the project will be profitable in the future. I'm passionate about bitcoins and I want to be part of the revolution.

Skills
  • Build websites with ruby on rails, PHP, or python/Django
  • Pull data from feeds and analyze it.
  • Integrate third party systems like shopping carts, billing systems
  • Create social platforms that allow multiple users to login and perform functions
  • Build mobile apps for the Android platform
  • Create applications that scrape the web for data (pulling data off of web pages into a database)
  • Any kind of automation or database work

The programming languages I commonly work in are:
  • PHP
  • Python
  • Ruby
  • Javascript
  • Java
  • C++

And I am also familiar with mongoDB, mySQL, memcached and other database technologies.

Please send all requests and offers to my e-mail: sbryant31@gmail.com

Hello!

I have a degree in computer engineering and I've independently studied accounting, finance, and economics. I help people with their online classes (algebra, calc, physics, chemistry, finance, accounting, etc.)

Summer classes are coming up so if you would like to free up some time, I can take your online class at a reasonable rate.
