since X isn't running then i think you need to have it start xterm, which is `autoOpenXterm="1"` in common.lib.

For me now works really good  Smiley.

I`ve a suggestion.

When change to 2nd pool, check status of pool 1 every 10 minutes and if its ok, put mining on 1st pool again.

Sometimes have connection problems and miner change pool and no back to pool 1, keep on pool 2.

this's a great idea

I can't see how 30-40Mhs/ per computer pays for electricity.  Then again, maybe you're not paying for electrons in which case I say "Cheers!"
that easily pays for electricity here

anything useful in the Autominer.log?  you can list the active screen sessions with `screen -ls` there should be a 'miner', 'amm', and 'temps' at least, and then a 'cardX-miner' for each of your cards.

Just wanted to let you know the automatic payment isnt working. I was at .19 and set it to .25 btc. Im at .29 now and nothing has been sent.  Undecided

in my case, I see that payments happen every day around the same time:

2011-07-06 16:09
2011-07-07 17:24
2011-07-08 16:50
2011-07-09 16:23

and not the exact moment it goes over my set limit.

how much time since you went over .19?

I believe it is working correctly, it will automatically send you your balance, once per day, when over the limit you specify... It will not send the balance the minute you hit your limit, it will queue a transaction for the daily payout time because you have reached your set limit.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

that's correct.  my automatic payouts happen every night at 23:00.

Anyone know the script/prog running at the bottom that shows combined hashrates and what not?

that's Autominer with an xmlrpc patch: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=19861.0

is there a way to send a command to phoenix/Autominer to change the aggression? like via RPC for example?  or will i need to use ./stopmining, edit the lib file, and then ./startmining, whenever i want to watch a video, then repeat when i am finished watching a video?

also, is there a way to switch back to my main pool once Autominer has started using the seondary pool?  or do i again just have to restart Autominer?

or maybe a way for Autominer to periodically check the main pool and automatically switch back to it once it determines it's reachable again?  sorry i'm not a coder at all but these might be good features to implement....

thanks

thanks.  after i ran that i noticed that it's trying to run `./phoenix.py` whereas i was using `python ./phoenix.py`.  `chmod +x phoenix.py` has solved the issue and Autominer is now mining!

from 15 to 30 mh/s? nvidia is a waste.  lucky to get 0.01 btc per day from that, not even enough to cover additional electricity cost.

i tried running locally and the same thing is happening.  using sudo doesn't change anything and should not be required.  i also tried adding `setenv DISPLAY ":0"` and `setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH "/opt/ati-stream-sdk-v2.1-lnx64/lib/x86_64/"` to my ~/.screenrc.

when i start mining, i just get a bunch of "Rechecking status..." and no mining is going on.  i have a 4850.  if i start phoenix manually (python ./phoenix.py -u http://X@pit.deepbit.net:8332/ -k poclbm VECTORS FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=9 DEVICE=1) it works fine.

Code:

nice, but how is there no risk of short circuit with all that metal?

Erm, no water or bare wire all over the place?

Most computer cases are made entirely of metal, and have well worked that way for quite some time.

no, because those graphics cards look like they are resting directly on metal, and what is protecting the back of the motherboard from touching the metal frame?  this is not a computer case.

Aluminium eventually turned up so I upgraded from the wood Smiley.

12x HD5870 (only 9 active atm) - 3 per motherboard.

i also would just like to see the reporting features of this and don't have a need to use it to modify anything.  i just have a 4850. i commented out the line "dev->vendor_id == 0x1002 && dev->device_id == 0x6899" and recompiled but i'm still not getting any output.

I wasn't able to drop my 4850 any lower than 620MHz memory, and currently I'm running with a core of 735, and netting about 82MH/s
thanks, this setting works for me, but only nets about 71 Mh/s here, however no increase in power consumption (still only using ~70W).  i'm using an ASUS EAH4850 @ stock voltage (1.123V i think)

but I need more cooling I think.
that's for sure... even at just 71 Mh/s and manually setting the fan to 100% the temp is still 87.

i thought it would be nice to max out the existing hardware i have w/o investing in a higher-end card, but it's looking like there isn't much interest in this card anymore.  maybe i get 0.07 BTC/day from its mining...

after installing the catalyst 11.6 drivers (instead of using fglrx), i was able to adjust the cpu and mem speeds outside of the range.  however, none of the reported settings on that bitcoin.it article worked, they all caused the card to freeze.  the best i've been able to get so far is by just increasing the clock to 700, yielding an extra 7 Mh/s or so.... screw this

i tried changing the "Clock info 03" to 800 & 500, and that didn't work, the card wouldn't work, so i had to reflash my backup.  any suggestions?
