if it can't scale there is no way you'll be able to use it for everyday transactions in reasonable manner.
it might stick around for trading but not for everyday use.

I don't think that this is possible with the current market, volume and prices.

While in 2017 the only real competitor of ETH was WAVES, in 2018 there are NEO + few more strong smart contract platforms. ETH is still powerful, but it will not reach $2K unless BTC reach $50K...

why do you think this is the case? right now btc is like 10x more than eth not 25x

those are all true arguments but you are forgetting that most of the crowd invested in crypto does not recognize these problems and solutions. btc has a huge lead and it will take some time for the competitors to catch up

basically it all comes down to supply and demand. what affects those though is a whole mess of things from the news to other markets economys and all kinds of stuff. basically anything that is remotely connected to btc will affect the price .

you can get rich with even 1 $ starting investment. but in order to do that you have to make day trades. and even then it will take some time.

i usually don't do such things. think about what will happen if you encourage a close friend or family member to invest and they lose all their money? how would that make you feel? for me it feel the worst, even if it was just a small amount of money lost i would feel like shit for encouraging them to invest in crypto. i believe you can and should explain and try to clarify as much as you can about crypto but not encourage to invest.

if i want to invest in that ico then yes i would read the whitepaper completely. if not i just skim it
