As you can see, the sellers force is still greater than the buyers force. Maybe it will break through.

The MACD, Stochastics and RSI give a signal to buy though.

At the time of writing this I went to http://blockexplorer.com/q/totalbc and it showed 6532850.00000000. If you wait for a while and refresh the page you can watch it go up by 50 at a time. They have almost made 1/3 of all bitcoins that will ever be made.
How do you mean ''that ever will be made''?

This means that there will only ever be 21,000,000 bit coins on the market.  This is how Bitcoin will stay rare and not just "print" itself into worthlessness.
So if the 21mil BTC are produced, the mining is over?
No, we still need to mine, because that's how transactions are recorded and verified. If there becomes so little btc in existance, we can move the decimal place, so 0.1btc = 1btc.
..having the same hyperinflation-effects if you just ''printed'' more coins?

Yes, and according to Minsky, that is one sign of a coming recession.

Extra question by the way:

How long do you think the Bitcoin-market will last?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just curious and I am yet too take a decision whether I will invest in a mining rig or not.

My amateur opinion is that to ask that question, you first have to ask whether bitcoin prices is even experiencing a bubble.

Then you can ask about it bursting.

I believe it is.

http://www.notesbit.com/index.php/finance/economy/stages-of-recession-economy-hyman-minsky%E2%80%99s-seven-bubble-stages/

According to the Minsky stages of recession you could say that we are at stage 4 with the bitcoin, aren't we?
http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/chart.png?width=716&m=mtgoxUSD&k=&r=60&i=&c=0&s=&e=&Prev=&Next=&v=1&cv=0&ps=0&l=0&p=0&t=S&b=&a1=&m1=10&a2=&m2=25&x=0&i1=&i2=&i3=&i4=&SubmitButton=Draw&

You can see that the market accelerates, do you think the bubble will burst? If yes, when? Will you think the Bitcoin will make a comeback after the possible recession?

Give me your expert or amateur's opinion.

I personally don't know the answers to my questions, thats why I ask them you.

I know for a fact that about 200 BTC has been lost... A few friends of mine started mining back when mining was REALLY good. And well one, lets call him JOE, reformatted and reinstalled his computer, forgetting to backup his wallet. Then the other friend, lets call him BOB, had to leave for military training. Well BOB asked JOE to house-sit for him. BOB told JOE that he had backed up everything and that JOE was free to reformat/reinstall his computer. Well BOB didn't backup either. JOE had something like 70 BTC and BOB had around 140 BTC. So I wonder how much of that 6.534 mil. has been lost?!?
Like, maybe, 10k btc is my guess.

Re: Eelectrity: How much do you need to pay per KW/H
by

on 14/06/2011, 00:20:13 UTC
0.2225 € per kWh in germany. (roughly 0.15 USD)

Could have been much cheaper with nucular power (0.08 € at least), but i opted for green electricity and on top i do pay an additional 0.0125 € per kWh to support development of solar/water/wind power plants even further. Makes it a little bit hard to get profits out of bitcoin, but i'm not going to support a third tschernobyl/fukushima. Smiley

edit: fixed decimal points
I dont think German nuclear energy plants are as bad operated and secured as Chernobyl and Germany isn't in an earthquake-sensitive enviroment so the reactors won't harm much.

If I took gray-electricity (not green) it would also cost me around 8-10 eurocents.

Yes, as you have chance with every block you encrypt it would be obvious if you have more chance if you encrypt more blocks.
