I just started using megaminer after fighting with my computer for a day and having to do a fresh install of windows after replacing my motherboard and CPU. After benchmarking, it's reporting income on equihash as a negative number. Any idea how to fix this?

Strange...or pool is returning negative profit or your hashrate benchmark has recorded negative (check stat N-Bminer_equihash file)

Yeah, I checked the benchmark files before posting, and it showed the hashrate from the log I posted. I'm guessing it was the pool, as this morning it's preporting dtsm as most profitable with an actual profit.

So when did this pool operator decide to up the payout threshold from 0.002 to 0.0025, not alot i know but i mined to that point to get that btc off the pool on wednesday and now see it's been increased, (in b4 payout fees are high), has it even been mentioned here or anywhere else? seems if you're an operator you can do as you please.

yes, I'll do as I please when there are issues and congestion in the mempool. Sorry, it's not the stone age, nothing is set in stone.

Yes, but an announcement when changes happen would be nice, rather than just silently changing things in the background and hoping people don't notice. I understand why the change happened, don't get me wrong, but letting people know would be nice. I had to switch bitcoin addresses to send to a new wallet, and now I need to switch back again because I'm literally dust away from another payout on my old address.

What is the problem with the difficulty setting at this pool?!
Doesn't work anymore. Can't set lower difficulty (d=xxx) at some algos!
Smaller miners are no longer welcome?!

Don't know what you're talking about, I'm mining with an Asus Rog laptop with an 860m for one of my rigs and it adjust down to an acceptable difficulty.

Estimate for keccak -- is it per GH or MH?

* values in mBTC/MH/day, per PH for sha256 & GH for scrypt, blake, decred, x11, quark, qubit, kS for equihash
Does "GH" part here need any updating?

ill break it up for you:

* values in mBTC/MH/day,
per PH for sha256
& GH for scrypt, blake, decred, x11, quark, qubit
kS for equihash

except that Keccak is GH per day see this tweet

I got very low hash for the x17 showed on the zpool wallet page. I have 50ishMH hash but it only showed me 1MH on the website. Does anybody has same situation as me? I tried different ccminers it's same situation. Thanks

I did, but it appears to have fixed itself within the past half hour or so.

Thanks, it's back to normal for me too. Any idea why this happened? Is this just the delay of database or are we losing that much hash power. Don't want this happen again it's so unstable.

I'd guess there were likely stratum issues, which happen from time to time, though I can't confirm. If you look at the x17 hashrate, the pool hashrate dropped during the same time period. I thought I had a driver crash and was losing severe profitability until I got home to fix it, 6 hours after it happened.

I was curious if there were any plans to extend Verge to the other algorithms it could be mined on. It's rather profitable when mined on either x17 or Lyra2RE2.

Strange, port is random, you can see api port in "History" screen.

I'll re-enable those algorithms on that miner tonight and report back what I see on the History screen.

As I went back to the logs, it appears I was wrong, the 5.0 didn't benchmark LYRA2v2 correctly with ccminerPolytmos. Maybe both groups got stuck on the same port? There is no way a GTX 960 was hashing at the same rate as a 1080, and this happened both times I ran the benchmark.

What is "correct" way to end this program? I use ctrl-C and after this i kill running miners.

And some suggestion. This script is for windows, but when I open config in notepad, there are "nonwindows" ends of lines.

I find if you simply just close the window, it closes the miners and everything for you.

Lyra2v2 is problematic for nvidia, the miner itself reports 30% higher hashrate than actual. Perhaps you should add a penalty for the algorithm on nvidia or check what miner gives a real hashrate.

Weird, mine typically reports at the pool about what my miner is telling me it is. Mine say 55mh/s and typically reports between 45 and 65 (sometimes even higher in periods of good luck) at the pool.

What miner do you use? Excavator is the highest at the benchmarks but the real hashrate is much lower.

Excavator isn't my highest in benchmarks, it's one of the ccminers for me, I believe, but I don't remember which. I'll have to check when I'm at home after work.

I'll add this to the github when I can get home and get my logs to include, but it appears, since upgrading to the 5.0 release, that after sometime (I'm unsure of the exact interval) it replaces my GTX 960 group with the hashrates from my GTX 1080 group on the profits screen. I'm unsure if it's using this data for the profit calculation, I would assume yes, but it was late and I couldn't investigate further. So I deleted and rebenchmarked last night, and this morning I woke up to the same thing. I quickly looked at the files in the stats folder, and they appeared to be correct and not with the data the live program was using, but again, didn't have time to look too deeply into it yet. I'm only posting this in case someone else is have this issue as well, and I'll create an issue on github with the relevant logs tonight, when I get home from work.

Just a heads up to anyone that just wants to copy and paste the stats folder to not benchmark again, the 5.0 introduces N- to all the miner names, so to copy and paste, you'll need to rename all your files. I just let the benchmark run again in case there were any changes in how the information was stored in the files, but wanted to give everyone a heads up since I just discovered it the hard way.

Edit: I assume A- was also added to AMD miners, but I have none to test.

So tried automatic 24h.  No mining pool hub with this option?  Is there anyway to use mining pool hub with automatic 24h even if mining pool hub just uses whatever is most profitable at the moment?

So when I restarted to go into 24h mode, it started testing the algorithms again.  Problem is, its testing ones that failed before and just keeps doing this every time I start. I have to manually end the interval so it will get past them.  I suppose I could try and delete them, but this is what I was talking about with multipool miner, it doesn't restart them everytime you start up again.

I'm not sure if MPH's API gives the 24h information or how that effects the miner calculations. What I do to prevent retesting is literally define the algorithms I want to mine in the bat file:

Code:
-Algorithm nist5,neoscrypt,xevan,lyra2v2,phi,equihash,x17,lbry,keccak

How does automatic 24h work?  You switch algos once per day to whatever is best?

It still queries the API based on the interval you have set, then makes switches based on the most profitable estimate at this time. Why I like it is that it allows me to mine what's most profitable overall, not just what happens to be the current spike at the time of the API query, as a spike doesn't greatly effect 24h estimates.

For using 24h profits, just change MiningMode from automatic to automatic24h in the bat file.

for which pools does automatic24h work (or does it work for all of them)?

Anyone that reports a 24h estimate. I know the YIIMP based pools do, as I mine on those  (zPool, ahash, yiimp, hash refinery). I personally mine on zpool and hash refinery.

How well does this fair with nvidia gpus? I know they generally are not ideal but does it support any algos that are decent for them?

It suport all algos compatible with Nvidia.

I have to say, that's what I love about MM. It downloads all necessary miner and all variants, determines which is the most profitable with each algorithm during the benchmarking process, then makes sure you're mining the most profitable way possible within the parameters you set between the config file and the bat file.
