any solomine guide for doge please? and thanks everyone for the replies

You would be better off mining with a pool since your hashrate is pretty low.  The chances of you finding a block solo mining is incredibly low.

Yes they are reliable, at least for me having had a few for years and years now.
But.
1) As they say. The past does not indicate the future, I have no idea how the quality of their miners now.
2) Any maker can have a bad batch.

The other issue is unless you have cheap / free power you will not ROI for a long time. Too slow and not efficient enough. If you are using them as space heaters or similar then go for it. But don't think you are going to get rich. Unless you get lucky and whatever coin you are mining skyrockets in price.

I have thought about point one of my two at Pepe just for this shits and giggles...

Has there been any progress on this?  I've gone through the CLI, but got an error output of:
-snip-
All hope lost in recovering this?
Through Bitcoin Core and its tools? No since you've already tried "salvage" and it can't do anything.
Try the other options like pywallet or other tools that can search for raw private keys from a file or directory and hope that there's still intact data in your corrupted wallet file.

For pywallet (link), use --recover command on a disk (preferably a small partition) where a copy of your "untouched" wallet.dat is located.
Example command is:
Code:
python pywallet.py --recover --recov_device="RECOVERY_DIRECTORY" --recov_size=1Gio --recov_outputdir="OUTPUT_DIRECTORY"
Edit "RECOVERY_DIRECTORY" and "OUTPUT_DIRECTORY" accordingly.

Thanks for the info, I will look into it!

Only thing I've seen is to make sure the power cables are fully seated to prevent overheating.  Other then that people seem to love them!  I have two MD2 running in the basement right now and they've been rock solid for just over a month.  I'll let you know if I have any issues though!

Has there been any progress on this?  I've gone through the CLI, but got an error output of:

Salvage: Database salvage found errors, all data may not be recoverable.
Salvage: WARNING: Unexpected end of file while reading salvage output.
Salvage(aggressive) found no records in C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\wallets\Old Try\wallet.dat.1714828383.bak.

All hope lost in recovering this?

Considering the number of alt-accounts associated with the banned account, it raises a question about why the OP would even want to link his new account with the previous ones. Even if the OP managed to get the original account unbanned, it already had received negative tags therefore what would it achieve?

Whether the original account is unbanned or not, why did the OP link the current account to the previous ones when citing it was hacked would probably not be believed.

You guys are right that I should have posted elsewhere, my bad!
It doesn't look like your account was hacked. You were probably banned for evading a ban. You have a lot of alts. You can read more about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.msg37872632#msg37872632

I was unaware that the account had been linked to any others.  Honestly this wasn't a post to try and get my old account back...I'm fine with rebuilding my reputation on this one  Grin

I'm glad Bitcoin has become so main stream, but I do miss the days of being able to type your BTC address into a random website and then *POOF* some BTC pops into your wallet.  I should have listened and kept my coins off the exchange but here we are.  Just happy to be back in the space again    Cheesy

It would be interesting to see your hacked account. Can you provide a link to your hacked account?

I'm referencing the BTCT password hack back in 2014? maybe

The account I had was accessed by someone other than me from that point.  The last thing I was involved in was the SciFi coin promotion.  I've never used alts and never been banned, this is the first time I've been on the forum in 10ish years

When was the last time you wrote a forum post from this account?

Anybody care to prove me wrong?   Tongue

The next post is from July 2017 and is locked so I can't quote it, but the next post is also from the same day:

I am at PC all the time..
Doing Crypto trading, watching TV series.

If get sometime, play games on Steam, GTA5

So my account was lost in 2015 and was taken over in 2017 I guess

Best Exchanges Nowadays
by

Used to be super active but got burned by most of the old closures (Cryptsy, btc-e, Bter, etc), so where is the best place to trade nowadays?  I have a Coinbase account already along with Kraken but not sure of other options that may be better.  Thanks!

I was super active back in the day but then my account got hijacked by a scammy person.  I also lost most of what I held because I kept it on an exchange like an idiot (btc-e).

I started mining with a 7850 and 7950 back in the day when LTC prices were sub $2 but haven't mined in almost a decade, but I've harvested the PSU out of my old Innosilicon A2 and have it powering a couple Mini Doge II until I can get something a bit more substantial built back up.
