Does Cryptogene utilize only ethereum Blockchains? 
ICO is on waves platform, but our platform will be built on Ethereum. Most times, they are only used as a figure-head to hype projects and contribute little or nothing to the implementation of such projects. Most ICOs use advisors as a strategy to rake in funds for it's tokensale and that's it nothing more.

Bash has quite a track record for ambassadorial roles, and for leading the almost 1yr old cryptogene community, but that's it. If I'm not mistaken, development has been outsourced to Andela. There are no core blockchain devs on the team.

I don't think this is a scam. Just my opinion, advisers maybe used to hype but we also have to understand that they are influential and reliable people. I strongly suggest blockchain developers to be part of the team. Enlist on your team some good programmers especially those from top crypto markety like the US, Russia, Australia, China, Japan or South Korea as they are also valuable assets in terms of marketing.
My point exactly Periodik. Listing Qchain and Andela as partners would give the project some more credibilty. In my opinion most of the contributions for this ico will come from the core community, which is quite strong. But with what's on ground currently, attracting bigger investors will be difficult. Cryptogene needs to step up. It's easy to talk about ideals. I hope to see more improvements as the ICO progresses.

Our decision to use Nigerian and African developers was born out of the desire to fast track blockchain development on the Continent. We could have easily hired developers from the country you mentioned to come do our work for us, but that would have been a case of depending on outside help for our development which is so common with African countries these days. If we're truly going to have serious blockchain development in Africa, we can't have developers from outside Africa doing our job

Hi, I'm Bash. Development was not outsourced to Andela, we only got some Andela Devs to key into the project, not Andela itself. As for blockchain developers, Hakeem is a solidity and Python developer and will be heading our Smart contracts and Dapps development. Samuel and Ade are also intermediate blockchain developers as well. And we've spent a lot of money into research and training for our developers as currently, there is a huge shortage of blockchain developers in this part of the world right now.

Allows users to list their items for sale. And connects buyers and sellers. This is targeted at entrepreneurs and retailers who would accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment for their goods and services
Havene
A system where currencies and other digital assets can be exchanged with cryptocurrencies without the traditional barrier of borders. The Cryptogene Token will serve as the base currency for this exchange
Spiel
A social media platform useful for communication or inviting members to organized social events. It would be similar to bitcoin talk forums but tokenized. This would be the advanced phase of the parent cryptogene telegram group
Silk
Allows members to share their blockchain ideas and get crowd-funded for a start-up. Also, developers and other related service providers could pledge their involvement if the owner of the idea requests such. Another interesting feature is the ability for a member to post a concept and let the idea be developed by community members by brainstorming. The participating members then become stake-holders in the project after a proof-of-idea has been verified. Silk comes with a voting mechanism that enables individuals who stake the platforms token have a degree of vote to implement a project

The Pre-ico phase begins on August 10, 2017 and will finish in 2 more days.
Why do you think it's too early? This is exactly the perfect time. To get in early as the space is still extremely new. And I've said it much often that there's no where in the world where blockchain tech is needed and can solve problems than in Africa.

The ETH address at the end of the post was a mistake by Jamal Azeez. He's currently offline so, he has not been able to correct the mistakes. Cryptogene ICO is waves based. And all payouts will he made with CGT, which is a waves based token. So, what you need is a waves wallet address, not ETH. Hope that's clear now? When Jamal comes online, he'll correct the errors
