Yes all sata and molex ports were supplied power.
I read everything about the motherboard on here and I was supposed to at least get a beep, but nothing at all except the cpu fan spinning.

I'm surprised as many people are having issues with it - I've got probably 100+ of them and haven't had a single issue so far.  Does it beep when it boots?  Prior to the bios being displayed, all of mine beep - so if you're not hearing that, it might not even be making it to the point that the video would be initialized.  You might also try forcing it to beep - normally if you boot with the memory removed, that will cause a POST beep to help you identify the issue, no post beep, then the board is probably no good.

Must be a new batch having issues? I'm having the same problem black screen problem and it doesn't go to bios.
No beeps and I've tried two different power supplies (EVGA GQ 1000W). I'm only able to get the keyboard to flicker once psu is turned on.

I also purchased 3 boards with none of them able to post BIOS.
Serial Number 0493-0495 is my batch.

Phil , could you sum up about prices :
what are the best prices you ever paid for new 1070 , 1080 and 1080TI ?

Thanks a lot

The best I've found...

1070 - $319
1080 - $419
1080ti - $639

Depending on where you live you'll have sales tax on those as well.

Due to demand it's pretty much impossible to hit those prices right now though Sad

Check out your local areas Craigslist, I have gotten 1070's at $300, 1080's at $380, and 1080Ti's at $600

Does anyone know a good trusted company for mining hosting that takes GPU miners?

I would rent a colo. Put everything in a 4U server case and rack mount it. You get your own locked cabinet and everything.
I'm not sure I would trust someone to put my rig in their warehouse.

Do you also have a Nvidia card in the system?

MSI Afterburner can only read info from either Nvidia or AMD, but not both.
If that's not the case run DDU to uninstall all drivers and re-install them again.

Seems Blake2s is having issues again with reported hashrates.

Miner displays correct speeds and share submitted but site shows 10% and is effectively reducing percentage of block rewards mined.

Anyone else running into the issue?

I'm also seeing this.

Does anyone use alexisminer here? i want to mine DGB but i couldn't find any documentation on the github repo on how to set it up.

Use this miner here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1777336.0

Alexis78 is built into it. Code below thanks to jared.
Open text document, paste, save as a .bat file in the miner folder and run it.

Code:
:start
ccminerAlexis78.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1PeXHjiP1BQJtwEavVdp8bKWZXiHAnRH5x -p Testrig,c=BTC,skein,stats

I'm still not sure things are working perfectly.

Right now I have 1.92 GH/s on zpool for skein and it only appears to be worth 0.00624 BTC or $15.69 a day.

But if I go and check whattomine it is showing profitability to be more than double at 0.013618 BTC or $32.60 a day.

My profit switching seems to think hmq1725, blake2s, nist5, equihash, sib and bitcore are all better to mine.
Skein very rarely drops that low in the rankings and I'm curious why.

It could totally be an issue on my end, but I there any chance you could double check why skein is so low?

if you ask me;  whatttomine is for the sheep.   It bases its information on multiple sources/exchanges (mixing them for results on a per-site basis) and also includes a human factor which adds even more error.   What exchange is whattomine basing this price info off of, at what time? (see what I mean?)

Keep this in mind.  you are taking advice from a 3rd party that;  frankly, has been historically inaccurate in many ways in my eyes.

24 hour profitability has been hovering around 0.004mBTC/day recently......  which is easy to do spot math on yourself.

Jared,

Can you let me know if I'm doing this math correctly from zpool? If the 24 hour profitbility is .004mBTC/day and I have 1,000MH/s, I should be making 4mBTC per day (.004mBTC x 1,000MH/s = 4mBTC)?

Which is about $9.6 every 24 hours.

Thanks,

Phil you're awesome!

I have some of those motherboards on the way, also I have a z170 with 4 PICEx16 - spacing is going to be tight for a 4 card 1080TI no riser but I'm going to run it just to see how long it can go. Should get here monday.

My new bottleneck - these stupid Corsair 750's only have 2... TWO! 4+4/6+1 power ports. The Rosewill 850w you suggested does have 4 PCIE power lines, so I just need  to get some more cables that have 2 sets of 6+2's in them, I ran out. I upgraded a dozen 1070's to 1080Ti's today - hardware always takes longer than you expect. Was expecting to unscrew, unplug, swap and be done. The power cords threw me for a huge loop.

I was thinking about running power from my 1500w EVGA but I actually don't have long enough cables for that either.

So back to the drawing board.
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438061

This EVGA GQ 850W has EIGHT 6+2pin. You could technically put 4x 1080 Ti on that Biostar mobo.
Just make sure to get the blower versions of the gpu and lower the power limit to around 75 to 80.

I'm having problems with the Alexis78 miner. Have you had this problem where the command prompt would lock up, gpu power would go down to 0% and it would stop mining until you hit the "enter" key? It happens every 30-60mins and it's really preventing me from using zpool.
Am I overclocking too much? The screenshot attached has it locked up and I didn't hit the "enter" key until 2 minutes later.

This is when I'm only mining skein with no algo switching.

no i have never had that problem in 3+years of using ccminer never had it hang and have to press enter to get it going.. didn't even know that was possible... something must be wrong with your rig/drivers..

Yeah it's the strangest thing. Reducing everything to stock clock and 80% power limit pretty much solved the problem. It was happening more on zpool than mph. It seems to be very sensitive to overclocks. It's mostly resolved now.

My system:
Win 10
Biostar z170 GT7
Pentium G4400
4GB RAM
x1 1080 ti
x2 1070
x1 1060
EVGA GQ 850W PSU

Showing 600W at the wall. It never went past 600W even during OC.

Do you have the exact link ?
as it is not on first page, it's hard to find it inside the 150+ pages when you don't know where to search first.

I'm not lazzy, I spent 15 minutes digging but all I find seems very complicated and I don't think this is the step by step you meant.

I don't know what is SSH but willing to learn.

starting from here may help

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1541084.msg18513502#msg18513502

Citronik, with mobaxterm , what do we have to use as Port , User and Password ?
I managed to get nothing Sad

1. create an SSH session
2. enter remote host = 192.168.... your rig's IP address
3. enter specify username = miner
4. ssh port is default, use that
5. press ok.... it will prompt you for password, enter "miner" --- this process only required once
6. summary .... userid/password is miner and miner
7. you should be in by now.... to see your mining console "screen -x miner"

Awesome thank you !

Easy but I was missing the main info : miner and miner Wink

great!

I love this mobaxterm, I fell in love with it since "carloshell" introduced it to me recently.

Now... all my VNC and SSH session are now centralized with mobaxterm, so I can manage all nvoc and smos rigs.

I highly recommend you give mRemoteNG a try. Open source and free. No restrictions.

yeah, the NH miner is useful for the laymen, but not the best IMHO.

Basically, just grab the ccmineralexis78.exe file (as mentioned in my link), copy the batch file and paste it into a new .bat file with ccminer... and just update your BTC payout address and ID tag at the top of the batch.

If you don't want to run the manual batch, or multi-algo batch, you can simply use a string like this:

skienonly.bat
Code:
:start
ccminerAlexis78.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP -p i7-920-GPU,c=BTC,skein,stats
goto start

change "i7-920-GPU" to whatever you want your miner ID to be seen as (shows up on right pane in wallet page on zpool.ca) for easy ID of the miner connected (if you have multiple), and of course change the BTC address unless you feel like donating hash to my account Wink

I really love the manual batch though.   If another algo's coin value moons, i just log into my old website, and change the algo name in the text file.  No need to visit all my miners and update manually.

You can use the manual batch as-is with my URL;  as long as you don't mind being on-board with whatever algo I am mining currently Wink

It needs login access to the linux systems.

If all linux systems are the same password edit the global ssh from here:
Go to Scanning->Scanning Credentials

If not you'll have to do credential mapping, set an ip range and then map a credential to that ip range.

Getting harder to keep track of every rig and Asics running in my warehouses.

I have 88 active IP nodes spread windows, linux and asics devices.

Anyone knows a good and "free" network tool to check hardware details of computers in a network/domain environment.

My current tool ... Advanced IP Scanner... has outlived its purpose.
