Can't disagree with any of those reasons, great research.
I bought some ETH during last year and am kind of sad that I couldn't participate in ETH2 staking, because now I am even more convinced in bright future of ETH and Ethereum

Re: Will Crypto live forever or die?
by
seamusdorakos
on 01/12/2020, 06:40:45 UTC
The interesting thing which is seen is that that US did never raise an accountability for his weapon puppet countries like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and AE, So it is possible that all Christian countries may awake and there could be a possible WW3. If it happens then do you think that bitcoin will live anymore?
If WW3 will happen - crypto will most likely die or get in hybernation before better times.
But I assume (or rather hope) for WW3 to never occur, because its the most stupid thing humanity can do to make itself extinct.
And I don't see anything but massive cataclysm to basically kill crypto

Bitcoin's still a speculative asset though.
Bitcoin is to good to be true that's why it scares the shit of me ...
Its still around after 12 years. Its not going to die - thats almost granted, but it may fall any moment basically.
If you're around long enough you should understand that crypto is all about volatility

Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"?
by
seamusdorakos
on 25/09/2020, 11:28:31 UTC
Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
Before saying anything I would like to point out - there is no "shoulds" in investments, its only your or other people's perception of upcoming future.
Anyway, do believe 2017 was the Golden Year of Crypto, in terms of great start of a great new technology in our lives.
Thus, I don't think it was the best year for crypto overall - there were not many good projects and overall technical side was fairly raw compared to current state of crypto market.
Even though bitcoin and eth and most of other old coins are lower in terms of price at the moment - you can clearly see huge improvements in features that cryptos are offering nowadays.
Greater things are yet to come.

Re: ETH's fees on "De-Fi" platforms are ridiculously high
by
seamusdorakos
on 09/09/2020, 05:01:26 UTC
The fee is too much I think. It's ridiculous. Yesterday I tried to swap some UNIFI token on Uniswap it was showing me 45$ in fee for only 150$ of token transaction. How a trader will make a profit if he has to give more than 20% as a fee. I am fed up with ethereum blockchain and fees. I suggest Tron blockchain over ETH now. 100 times better than ETH in many prospects.
This is obviously one of the main options.
As trader you also should understand that high fees are that high only because of incredible defi demand at the moment - that exact demand gives huge boost to some alt's price and thus your trading can be profitable in the first place.
But that comes in with a price and you surely can switch to Tron or other blockchain.
I've decided to hold my funds and wait for things to settle down / or for ethereum to be updated

I'm just worried new projects are taking advantage of Defi to scam this market. Lots of bullshit projects came out and they said their project was Defi to attract investors. If they are not careful then they will be stuck with these scam projects
Scam projects will always be there no matter what.
Overtime people will understand that crypto is not that different from stock market, there is no free money in here (only for scammers)

Re: Looking for ideas business or job

Im Looking for ideas business or job online or something.
First of all, it would be great if you included your set of skills right here.
Otherwise, the only advice you can get is - look up for freelance work, monitor remote job resources such as WeWorkRemotely and FlexJobs.
You can easily find yourself a job there, which probably won't be related to crypto by any means and most probably will be a routine.
However, if you have 0 skills - you may start learning something new, its way easier than you think because you can find 99% of needed info online for free.

Re: Bank's loss crypto's gain?
by
seamusdorakos
on 02/08/2020, 07:00:57 UTC
There are many banks whose management system is very bad. Banks don't work properly so many people leave the bank and their existence goes down a lot. In that case, the bank incurs losses and the demand for crypto increases. In crypto, everyone can trade independently. Stocks are more likely to fail because they do not depend on the economy. In the case of banks, if the economy suffers, the rate of the bank decreases but there is no effect on crypto.
I would love to agree with your idea, but for me it seems too unrealistic.
There is no way for crypto to not being involved in global economy, because both of yours "bank" economy and "crypto" economy parts are tied up on people using them.
So if there is an economical issue, for instance people constantly loosing money due to quarantine, banks will suffer the most -> people will try to use crypto as safe haven -> crypto price increases -> shortly after "last" human that wanted to save funds will invest in crypto the price of whole crypto market will fall badly.
Thus being said I believe that crypto market bull run is going to last only if people will still use banks, if whole economy will bloom, otherwise its only a matter if time before whole crypto market will dam.

With some help from CoinGecko, we have compiled an exclusive list of the top 30 most searched assets last week.
- We've added ranking movement feature, so you can compare how the list changed from the last week and what are the trends.

What a great stuff you've posted here, thanks a lot.
It would be even more awesome if CoinGecko update and share this info all the time

Re: Shitcoins unite!
by
seamusdorakos
on 30/06/2020, 19:14:10 UTC
Crypto space is lacking real use case presently and devs are just repeating same old projects over and over, sooner or later no single investor will have interest in new projects, not until they come up with something fresh and new
I totally agree with this.
And I believe its not something devs are not aware of. At least not ones who work in superior projects like ethereum, eos and etc.
Their goal is to unite a lot of different (or quite similar) projects with one mainnet so they could together make something bigger, like a giant system of use cases and etc.

Re: Btc going to 2k or 3k or 7k or 9k
by
seamusdorakos
on 26/06/2020, 19:47:47 UTC
it looks like the price of bitcoin is really stable at $ 9k. Well, I predict that the next step could be $ 11k, it's just that until now, we don't know when that potential really came. in fact, so far, the price of bitcoin has broken through to $ 10k before returning to $ 9k.
expect bitcoin prices to go up soon leaving the price of $ 9k.
you've made this decision according to..?
I'm just curious, because I can understand popular people throwing some predictions in their social media accounts - even if they are wrong they just've brought attention (which is good for crypto).
On the other hand your words has no value for bitcoin popularity whatsoever, then you gotta be sharing it because you've seen some valuable info which lead you to the conclusion

Re: How to earn money out of nothing?
by
seamusdorakos
on 09/06/2020, 09:20:44 UTC
Do you wonder how to earn money without spending a penny? Introducing Crypto World! Yes, in the crypto world there are lots of ways how to earn money without spending any amount. Just be resourceful guys. I'll give some example where you can do it. Join an airdrop campaign, bounty task. Those are examples of where you can earn without spending anything, but you must choose the best and legit one so you can make sure that you will get compensated after.
I started to earn money through crypto when I was in college. Yes true, we can make money out of nothing when it comes to crypto. If you're good enough to find a better campaign then you'll earn big. Plus if there are lot of opportunities like example lot of good campaign. My classmates also earned in airdrop but this time, it is hard to find legit airdrop so I am not really refering to it
The era you are referring to is gone completely, now crypto is not  "free money".
You can earn from airdrop, but chances are same as in some pizza giveaway

Re: Why can't I buy stocks with Bitcoin anywhere?!
by
seamusdorakos
on 29/05/2020, 16:08:44 UTC
You can buy stocks with bitcoin you just lazy
decade later and bitcoin is still associated with illegal business.
What is rather associated with illegal business, bitcoin or fiat? Bitcoin is still more traceable than fiat.
He said he can buy stocks with bitcoin, he just doesn't want to overpay 5% which is absolutely understandable.
Bitcoin is really associated with illegal activities, like hacking and everything in "darknet" regular person doesn't understand.
It doesn't mean bitcoin has a real connection to illegal activities tho

Re: Beware of lying project team
by
seamusdorakos
on 14/05/2020, 06:35:55 UTC
I often see a situation where the team announces on the forum that this coin is already traded on the exchange. But when I go to an unknown cryptocurrency exchange, I see that the coin is really traded, but its average daily turnover is only 10 dollars. Therefore, you need to check all the statements of the project team.
crypto market is too young to believe in words of X company/coin/token dev team or whoever speaks for them.
you can invest in stocks and you can partially believe that the company won't face bankruptcy anytime soon
same can't be applied to crypto

Re: Chinese Strategy?
by
seamusdorakos
on 04/05/2020, 13:35:32 UTC
We have seen this political - economic conspiracy theory through many virus games in the world. In addition, the US has punished the internal Chinese economy through taxing goods. Perhaps China did not accept this and retaliated against the US with this corona virus. It is clear that this virus has been studied and determined to be made from humans. That's why I think this is something that was planned. Americans really should be careful when confronting China.
I can barely believe that someone actually made coronavirus on purpose to spoil other country good life.
Obviously there is could war going on, but this seems anti-human and too dangerous - what if such virus could go out of control and humans wouldn't make it through.
Anyway what I am trying to say - it is more possible that China is desperately trying to look cool and show that its all good in there, but obviously they're facing same problems as we are

Re: The pandemic outcome
by
seamusdorakos
on 29/04/2020, 08:08:00 UTC
In my opinion, you should buy gold to prevent inflation. Currently, national governments are printing a lot of money to support people who are unemployed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. This will increase the cost of goods many times. If you have a big savings then you can invest in cryptocurrencies. Besides, there are about 15 days to the Halving BTC date. So I think BTC price will increase significantly in the next few months.
Gold and crypto are really good to buy at this time and gold may just b a temporary phase which will see the upside and crypto if invested in good coins in right allocation can make our wealth grow in coming time. Though it is also better to have strategy as in long- and short-term goals and plan and invest accordingly so that we can make money in both terms.
Imo it is a great time for any investment really
A lot of companies are facing not the best times, but they will recover soon enough so we all can earn profit from it.
And since crypto market is tied up with global market - same fate waits most of cryptocurrencies

Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet
by
seamusdorakos
on 15/04/2020, 20:31:05 UTC
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
We should rather be asking "is crypto holding on better than other relative markets/industries?"
If we compare it to online movie theaters like netflix - crypto is losing for sure, but that's not relative at all
So the answer to my question is - hell yeah man, crypto businesses has to pay way less rent so they are not in deep ass like other relative industries' businesses

Re: Which coins are your safe haven now?
by
seamusdorakos
on 31/03/2020, 09:46:19 UTC
there is no safe place besides investing in BTC or other altcoin such as ETH, EOS & BNB. because they are all promising investments in the future, besides that I personally don't like high risk so I prefer to take part in the top crypto and wait for market conditions to fully recover.
there is no safe place period. there are promising projects - yes, there are relatively stable coins like usdt (but it is tied up with usd obviously).
however there are places aside crypto where you can save your funds in order not to lose much of value (like fonds/bonds)
