Re: Need to start mining (MASSIVE BUDGET)

I am sorry to inform you that 63k isnt a massive budget to start mining btc.

As we speak , you could buy some gpu, but then again, infrastructure cost might take a good chunk of your capital. and also gpu are getting hard to get.

Awesome, really great progress too. Glad to see mining is growing in Quebec and Labrador. Hope to see it expand all over Canada.

I understand if this is not something you want to disclose, but I'm curious what the Capital cost / Watt is to build these mines? I'm considering building out a farm (don't have as low power cost as you  Sad ) and I would like to see if my capital budget / Watt is comparable.

Cheers

Hi there,

We are talking million(s) plus u have to buy a building big enough, have the electricity capacity near by, u sometimes have to upgrade the transformers, plus the electricity company want upfront 2 months of security depost (around 150k usd) upfront.

U must pay the construction ppl to build a correct air flow system cause u cannot use A/C.

We are talking 5-10 MegaWatts here, expension up to 20 MegaWatts, only problem is the power company company dont work fast enough (it is state owned).

Also , u have to find electricians that can deal with thoses capacity, it is not the average electrician dude.

And in the end , u need some slaves to put up all theses gpu units and u need a sh1t load of zip tie lol and u need staff to secure the facility and a bunch of other people to get and power cycle miners when they get stuck.

It is a cool experience however, and if u feel like, u take out hashcat and u can crack anyone wifi password very fast (but that is another subject).

Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do?
by

You have to push the question a little further. If 1 BTC is worth 1M$, it is because the fiat is worth nothing. You also have to wonder if you would be better off selling btc instead for living. The power of your BTC may very well overcome your USD/whatever currency you using.

Also , u have to wonder how the world is going to be with a currency that cannot be controlled.

Just saying ... Smiley

Bitcoin Whitepaper ... [not so serious post]
by
secup
on 14/10/2016, 21:04:52 UTC
From Satoshi Nakamoto whitepaper :

Quote
If we suppose blocks are generated every 10 minutes, 80 bytes * 6 * 24 * 365 = 4.2MB per year. With computer systems
typically selling with 2GB of RAM as of 2008, and Moore's Law predicting current growth of
1.2GB per year, storage should not be a problem even if the block headers must be kept in
memory

At BestBuy : "Excuse me sir, i need to get new RAM , I need hmm ... 240GB of RAM please"

It doesnt require super complex math, there will ever be 21 million BTC , if you can get a hold of a few, they will eventually later be worth alot more.

Limited supply guarantee an increase in price if bitcoin get more popular.

Hi there ppl,

I prolly did made a mistake creating this thread here. If u guys are so freak out about a 5k wire transfer that you actually send to a legitimate canadian company (which you can also lookup online) I think you guys are not too serious about acquiring large sum of BTC.

We are not going to send 5k of bitcoin upfront when there is absolutely no way of getting it back. At least via a wire, u have a someone on the other side that you can go after...

I understand that I am a newbie here on this forum, but geez come on.

Anyways, mods , please delete this thread

You can run them in a shed no problem, the heat will warm up and dry up the place. Prepare a plan where you can heat up the place BEFORE starting up the miner, IE do not start the miner at -20 C

1 miner might not be enough to warm however. might need 4 hehe.

how much could i purchase for 690$ paypal, skrill, wire?

The minimum purchase order is at 5,000 USD by wire transfer.

You send first, right?

Not really Smiley once the seriousness of the user has been establish we can discuss trust issue.

Um yeah
i checked through your posts
Youre a newbie that:
1.posts photos that arent his;
2.claims to have 900 antminer s7s but wants to buy 250$ worth of bitcoin;
3.now yoy magically sell bitcoin (minimum 5k) vs wire transfer which is completely irreversible but buyer has to send first...
Its red tag for you my friend

You are free to think whatever you want Smiley

show a picture of you next to the 900miners with todays paper and your btctalk username and i will remove the tag
otherwise - it stays

Wow u guys are parano , I guess thats good, no prob i'll arrange smthg for u all.
