Re: Just got a 1T/hash 'FancyBitcoin Miner' - LOUD!

Hello. I just picked up one of these: http://coinsfortech.com/shop/coincraft-1ths-28nm-asic-bitcoin-miner-with-power-supply

It works very well right out of the box at the speed promised and I am already getting coins out of my pool after only 30 minutes.

However it is LOUD! It is like having a hair dryer running.

It is in my apartment and it is just unacceptable how loud it is. Does anyone have some advice on how I can solver this problem? Some sort of some proof cabinet or perhaps a quieter cooling system?

New 1T miner avalon3 and 1T A1 miner is no loud . quite working.  Maybe the one you got  is old avalon2 200G. and some factory use 5pcs in a case to make it 1T.

Re: BTC-China and CNY

Ok so I've been trading crypto for awhile, but I hate trading using dollars.  I don't want dollars ever, they are toilet paper.  I wanted to use a Chinese trading platform so that my currency used in exchange would be renminbi (I think China has a lot of gold they will probably use to back the Yuan eventually so I'll feel more like I'm trading gold for crypto rather than toilet paper, and I feel comfortable holding either crypto or renminbi).  However I don't know all the legal processes involved with CNY withdrawals.  I currently have an account at BTC-China and was going to deposit my crypto to trade there, but I can't quite figure out how withdrawals of crypto and CNY work.  I need to know what the process is for withdrawing crypto and CNY from BTC-China.  Any and all help would be appreciated.  (I apologize if my use of CNY and renminbi is not grammatically correct).

CNY and US Dollar are same

Re: I dont pay for power. What type of rig would you build?

So i have been bittin by the bitcoin bug also. Im fairly new to this and of course i have made my mistakes in jumping on some bad ideas.

I live in NYC in a Coop (its like a condo with electricity included with my maintenance) so power is never an issue for me. Summer time i usually have the AC on 24x7. After i started reading about bitcoin and electricity not being a factor for me i decided to start the easy way and buy a BFL Jalapeno. I did get a good deal and got a 10gh for around $250 on Craigslist. (ebay has them going over $800 right now). But i wanted more so i decided to read more on it and started to scrypt mine. I got 2 asus R9 270's over clocked and doing over 900 mhs. But the fans blowing on them is getting a little noisy.(AC on the winter makes it too cold in my apt... lol.) Im now thinking of trading them all in to get a antminer s1. And if that goes well ill purchase some more.

I guess my question is, if you didnt have to pay for power what would you build to generate some profitable bitcoins?

Probably a KNC miner (if you can get one at a good price) or an Antminer S1.  The Avalon's put out a ton of heat and consume a lot of amps, even though you have "free power", your circuits are going to be limited to 15 amps for standard outlets and 20 amps for kitchen appliances, which means if you place too many amps (watts / 120), your going to pop your breaker. You also have to consider the heat, right now it's winter in NY, so probably not a big deal, but in the summer you could be dealing with a big issue when your AC kicks on.
Avalon3 1TH/s or A1 is lower power comsuption now.
