I have installed the QT wallet and it has taken 3 hours to go from 2 years and 30 weeks behind to 2 years and 27 weeks behind. At this rate it should take a little over 5 days to sync. Is this right?

Dear NEM community,

many of you know about the LuxTag project, which we had started in late 2016. Things are getting more and more serious and I want to keep the community updated.
... proud to be building on NEM technology.

Here a short Youtube video cut of our exhibition participation two weeks ago (April 2017). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODLosDZcDEs28

Have a look at https://hackernoon.com/luxtag-powered-by-nem-blockchain-presents-at-premier-regional-blockchain-event-bloktex-2017-36628561442312 , too.

Enjoy the weekend.

The link you gave for hackernoon gave me a 404 error. Did a quick search and found the link:

How to avoid these kind of attacks? I normally don't backup my files.

Sandboxie
VMWare Workstation

I have pirate copies of both.
Or you could use VirtualBox for free fully legal.
Another way would be to switch to linux.

Yeah, linux is a pain in the ass to use.

And VMWare Workstation is a much better app then Virtualbox. It's easier to use and it's much more polished. You can also download VMWare Workstation from VMWare, all you need is a valid serial # (I have a keygen, I can give you one if you need it).

As far as hypervisor quality/security,  I don't know if either is better or worse then the other.

Also, Virtualbox only offers a hosted hypervisor, if you want a bare metal hypervisor you're going to have to go w/ a VMWare product.

VMWare is free to use. It's easy once you get use to it. A little tricky for the noobs but after a little learning it's a breeze. Please do not use a keygen. Most keygens contain a bot or virus.

Re: Bitcoin shop in London
by

Made a trip to London to buy some Bitcoin from Azteco and show my support. Journey took nearly 2 hours , didn't have much trouble finding the place. but hey, guess what? The damn place was closed. Needless to say I won't be buying anything from Azteco now or in the future. Lost my custom.

Hey Azteco, if you're going to run a shop at least be open during opening hours.

I think it would be a great idea for Scotland to print its own currency along the lines of the Greenback or the Bradbury Pound. But somehow, I think the banking cartel have got their boots firmly on Alex Salmond's testicles.

Bitcoin is a non starter. It just does not have enough maturity to be considered a true currency - yet.

Re: Could Dogecoin Hit $2 ?
by

on 28/01/2014, 13:02:15 UTC
What I like about Dogecoin is that there are lots of coins being minted, everyone can have more than a handful of Doge. It is not an investment coin but a coin to spend without worrying about 'Should I have held on to it?'.  I don't think they will achieve $2 per coin for at least a hundred years. It could go as high as 1 cent a coin but don't bet the bank.

Re: How Would "Government Coins" Be Different From The Financial System Today?
by
selavy59
on 31/12/2013, 07:22:18 UTC
GovCoin = just the same as Euro or Dollar, except they have to put little more effort into creating them out of thin air. Not too much though, as they'll be the only ones allowed to mining them.

So, no thanks, I'll skip the centralized crap and stick with Bitcoin Smiley

The likes of you and I and most on this forum would prefer Bitcoin. However, the great unwashed would prefer bankster/gov backed fraudcoins. There is just no stopping people being stupid.
