Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools

Thanks, very useful.

(edit) Unfortunately though that image doesn't boot. After writing it to a USB stick with win32diskimager and trying to boot, I get "Syslinux error: no configuration file found No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found" and a boot prompt that doesn't do anything. I tried another USB stick, same result.
I see someone else has had the same problem: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=65915.msg794424#msg794424 no solution posted apart from "download again" which I did, no change.

(edit2) ah, I'm not the only one. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=65915.msg800875#msg800875 that page has several people with the same problem. Does anyone have the image with fat16 filesystem that is talked about there? The one from bitcointrading seems to have the flawed fat32 filesystem. FWIW, the motherboard I'm trying to boot this on is an Asus, not a Gigabyte.

(edit3) I've managed to recreate the BAMT 0.5c with fat16 filesystem, by reformatting the 525MB partition, copying over the files and reinstalling syslinux (latest version, 4.05) - and now it boots. It looks like indeed some motherboards have issues booting from fat32 USB sticks.

Where can I download BAMT? The original site bamter.org is down, and the only link I found in this thread that isn't a 404 gives me a corrupt download.

One transaction with me went smoothly, I can vouch for the product. Gave me a nice bonus too for a first-time customer.

GT520 is a pretty low-end card, so yes it seems adequate. Comparable really with the about 13MH/s I was getting with a 9600GT.

I'd like out so I can post feedback on a vendor in the marketplace. I could make filler posts, but I don't think that's the idea behind the restrictions.

(edit) Or, as you've been doing, please feel free to delete all my posts. Who cares about feedback in this community anyway.

Hello, I'm trying to contact a person I'm interested in doing a BTC transaction with via PM but I have to wait the 4 hours to do so? I refuse to use mtgox to buy any because of them locking so many accounts. Also this site looks like a good place for reliable information, If it's okay with you I hope you'll allow me to message him sooner.
You can already PM him after making a single post.

Not true, if I may say so. I forgot the password to my other account (been around for some time) so I made this account specifically so I can PM someone. After making 1 post I can still not PM anyone.

(edit) Oops, I have to eat some crow. After clearing my cache and reloading the page, I can now send PMs. All is well.

I'm an older user, but I forgot my password to the forum and I need to PM someone, so hoping that this new account I just made will be enabled to do that soon. Seriously, I've been around for a couple of years, but haven't checked for a few months, and... passwords get forgotten. And my email provider seems to be offline for maintenance right now, which means I can't reset it ATM.
