This week, in replies that don't answer my quote... ^

The all time high for CLAM was on Bittrex.

It traded 1 for 1 with Bitcoin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623147.msg12629211#msg12629211

I wonder if that trade got reversed?  It was obviously a mistake.  Clams are worth at least 2 btc each.  Wink

Poloniex shows a high of 0.0144 btc on August 15, 2015.

Coinmarketcap shows a high of .01364320 btc on August 12, 2015.  Not sure which exchange they were using for that price point though.

The wallet have to be synced.
Then your coins will arrive.

I used the bootstrap posted here in batches of 10000 blocks. I just needed  3 of them (up to bootstrap161.dat) and the wallet was on ALL day since that and nothing. Still stuck and unable to sync.

Every time it gets stuck, restart it.  Eventually it will sync fully then you will be good to go.   It took me 3 days to sync, with the bootstrap,  i just checked it every once in a while and if it had not made progress, i restarted it.

It would be great if you could work out that deal and get one of them back up.

I did notice that khashier.com now directs to clamsight.com, so maybe something is in the works to get clamsight.com back up?

In the mean time, is the explorer at presstab.pw the only clam block explorer available now?

If the satellite mines bitcoin, will it mine bitcoins more quickly in orbit because of General Relativity?

bootstrap I dl-ed is about 1.98Gb is it ok ?
wherever I put it DL blockchain continues from two years ago.

The last one I uploaded was 1,836,581,341 bytes.

It takes a while to import. But you should see "importing" in the bottom left corner of your client instead of "syncing" if it's using the bootstrap file I think.

Please one more question, where to place it. I always get sync...

Put it in the same folder as your wallet.dat file.

wow Gru will wake up and find his 32,000 clam went up $16,000 overnight from price change

32,000 clam x $4.25 = $136,000 in 2 days

congrats bro

so he should get around 50 clam a day stake from clam wallet

50*30 1500 clam a month x $4.25 = $6,375 a month from staking

can live nice and not have to work at all just from selling staked clam.

and in the end still have 32,000 clam

What can solace us is that if we think they spend this bitcoin when BTC was $200 and how much they lost in compare if they hold BTC at least BTC crossed $2000 mark  Roll Eyes

No solace in that.  Even at $200, and I think it was actually around $400 to $450 at the time, it was a lot money that they took in.

 I don't know of the case of ClamClient but I read that in the case of Bitcoin, the bitcoin.conf file is optional and not usually created automatically, When I had wallets installed the .conf file was always there, I don't remember a case that need to create it from scratch, It was there when I needed to add things like nodes IP, maybe it's part of how your OS works with the wallet, so if you don't have it and you know that you're in the right directory where the file should be, you should try to find a sample to use it as a template for your configurations or just add the parameters that apply to your case and create the .conf file. This can be done in many plain text editors just by saving the file as .conf

I will try to create the file and set it up to split outputs when I stake.  Thanks.  Smiley

You may already know this, but if you're new to linux it might be helpful:

Files that have names that start with a "." are "hidden" by default.  So, in a terminal, you'll have to specify -l (to ls) in order to see them.  In a gui file explorer, you may have to click something like "show hidden files".

I set it to show hidden files and still do not see it.

I am wondering if the file is not there because I have not made any changes to the clam client since installing it?

if we miss the crowdsale, will the tokens still be available to trade on poloniex or other exchanges?

Eventually yes.

Here we are more than a year after the crowdsale and there is no active market for these tokens.

 Usually on Windows you can find it at this location:

C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Clamcoin (on Windows 7)
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\Clamcoin ( on Windows XP)

For linux you can try to look for this location:

~/.clamcoin/

Thank you.   Smiley

If this file does not exist, then is it something that needs to be created?   I am trying to set up a miner to automatically split outputs when I find a block.

Hi dooglus, how did you made outputs of 100 CLAMS and also how did you split them once they stake? Is there any instructions to put in conf file or so?

To make the outputs I did something like:

    $ clamd sendtoaddress '{"amount":100,"count":50}'

And to auto split on stake, I put this in my clam.conf:

    splitsize=25
    combinelimit=50

Where is the clam.conf located?  Thanks!  Smiley

does anyone have any transactions shown in the account after investing? Theres nothing after more than a day in mine...

I put in a small amount just after the crowd sale opened and I was only just now able to log in and see the bitcoin transaction and an MT balance on the dashboard.  So they are definitely working on it.

The 10% extra MT was not there for me either.
