Re: CAWB Miner . No devfee 0.1c
by
sergw
on 14/11/2020, 03:36:26 UTC
Hello everyone, I'm a developer miner CAWB .
This miner is made from with ccminer, just removed to devfee
But devfee is not removed for all algorithms
Example of which algorithms devfee is removed for:

Decred
CryptoNight
Equihash
Pascal
X11Gost

Hashrate for deleted devfee :

AMD R9 390  Decred 950   MH/s
AMD R9 390  Equihash 0.38003 kSol/s
AMD R9 390  CryptoNight   820 H/s
AMD R9 390  X11Gost  3470 kH/s

Someone will say why they didn't replace it with all the algorithms
We try to add new algorithms every day.
Believe me this is very difficult
If you could somehow support me for my work I would be very happy

So in this miner work and other algorithms that are ccminer:

Lyra2REv3
Blake256
Blake2b
Blake2s
Diamond-Groestl
Exosis
Fresh
Fugue256
Groestl
HMQ1725
Hsr
Jackpot
Keccak
Keccakc
Luffa
Lyra2
Lyra2REv2
Lyra2Z
Midnight
NeoScrypt
PHI1612
PHI2
Penta
Polytimos
S3
Sha256t
sha256q
Sia
Sib
Skein2
Skunkhash
Sonoa
Stellite
TimeTravel10
Timetravel
Tribus
Vanilla
Veltor
Whirlpool
Wildkeccak
X11evo
X12
X13
X14
X15
X16R
X16S
X17
Zr5

And the hashrate is slightly increased , or rather by 6%

You can download this miner from our link : MEGA

Change Version 0.1c

Greetings to everyone, and we have an update coming out in which
We've increased the speed of the algorithms:
CryptoNight
Equihash
Pascal

Fixed several minor bugs, example
When the miner started to reboot itself
or when the video cards went to rest

Will a new version be released soon ? I'm already tired of the bug when you start mining NeoScrypt and the miner crashes .

Re: Electrum is extremely slow with 200 addresses

as i understand bitcoin wallets are not optimized if you frequently use the same address(es). And as i suspect the same issue affects bitcoin core wallet as well.
That can't be the issue, the issue is your number of UTXOs which is over 1000 and Electrum will have to fetch the necessary data
of all those unspent transactions outputs from the Server/Node that you're connected with.
Internet connection speed can slow/speed this process.

For Bitcoin core, it will only perform slow in the initial scan; after that, it should be smooth sailing since the blockchain and its index are stored locally.

hm indeed,  but bitcoin core is too difficult to maintain.

Most people don't use passphrases at all (I think OP one of them). And if a user used passphrase for example "456rty789uio", he can use "456rty789uio2020" instead.
BTW, I don't agree that everyone should use a passphrase. Yes, it improves security and plausible deniability, but 12 words provide the necessary level of security, so that passphrase is optional.

I do use password for electrum.

well thanks to all for sorting this out.

ps. i consolidated all coins to new wallet  and new address. hope it will be good for the next 12 months.

I would like to save 2 addresses from the wallet, it is bound to many pools.  May i recreate new wallet with 2 addresses from old wallet?
Actually i know that electrum has import private key option, but i didnt try that, is that an option?

Why not export the 2 private keys from the addresses that is bound on many pools? You can able to export them and make a new wallet then import the 2 private keys as a new wallet.

Make sure you have seed backup as the above said and don't forget to make a backup copy of the wallet file of your old wallet. You can use it in the future if the old wallet is removed from your Electrum wallet.

What if those 2 addresses have 1000+ transactions in history, would it be affecting the loading again on new wallet?

Can you not make a new wallet?

You can keep more than once wallet with electrum and a new one will greatly speed up your access to some funds if not all for when you want to sign or load up the wallet.

I'm guessing the slowness is because your wallet is encrypted and the node will slow you don't because of the time it'll take to confirm your request there and I wouldn't suggest not keeping an encrypted file so a new wallet is probabky the best way to go...

Re: I need help testing my new BTC miningpool
by
sergw
on 25/05/2020, 13:31:34 UTC
I'm in the process of setting up a new mining pool and will begin testing BTC mining tonight.
I'm renting hashpower via miningrigrentals, but don't have enough to rent more than ~300TH.

I wanted to ask this forum if there is any miners willing to help me mine in the coming 12 hours, so there is a theoretical chance that we will solve even a single block.

Pool supports AsicBoost and fee is 2%. If you want to help add these configurations to your mining setup:

'-a sha256 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.fortunapool.com:3333 -u <YOUR WALLET ADDRESS> -p x'

Please help spread the word to as many people as possible to test the pool properly before making an official launch.

If you find any bugs, or have any feedback you can leave a comment down below!

Thanks guys!

i would suggest pool testing on smaller coins where difficulty is not so much, for example: DGB or LCC with just 300M diff.

well, nice job, but why do you use windows based application? since bot should run 24x7, it's much cheaper to run on some cloud-based LAMP VM for $4 as php application.

Hi anybody.
I have a small farm in somewhere far from my home. and want to monitor them and also connect to miners if I need and restart or re-config them as I need from my home over internet.
What is your idea about this situation. And also is anybody now bout the ports numbers that miners work with them?
some of my miners are for ebit and antminer company.
Thanks so much

if your router support vpn client - then setup VPN connection to your router and manage your devices from Home.

if your router doesn support VPN, then buy raspberry Pi and install on your farm in the same network where your asics. Then install and configure openvpn on raspberry Pi and use it for accessing your devices from home.
