Why do the confirmations occur faster than that then?
for example: 5 confirmations in only 4 minutes? I thought it would have to take 10 minutes for 5 confirmations, with a 2 minute block time?

That someone would have to have long-term dedication to the thread and to smartcoin,
but smartcoin could use that kind of advertising. It would be good exposure for smartcoin.

Anyone know how we might get payment processing for smartcoin?
coinpayments.net is not moving fast enough to get smartcoin some payment processing.

Ask Merchants to accept smartcoins as payments
I would like smartcoiners to start asking merchants to please accept smartcoin for payments on their sites,
and we will just have to let them know that payment processing is something we are working on,
but in the meantime smartcoin doesn't have payment processing;
but on the other hand, the merchants can buy low priced smartcoins and share in the increases
as smartcoin rebounds from the lows, as it is likely to do.
Ask the merchants nicely, and try to let them know the advantages
You can use smartcoin.boards.net forum, to help when contacting merchants( if there is something that is needed for merchants on the forum, you can let me know, and I will add a forum or post as needed. thanks for your help)
If a merchant is accepting payments in smartcoins, then please let us know as we can then create links to your site and put your website/business into a list of merchants who accept smartcoins for payment

Smartcoin in the News
It would be ok to get smartcoin in the news of some of the famous bitcoin or alt-coin news sites.
If you can write a story for smartcion or get smartcoin in the news, and if its a good write-up,
then that may be ok for smartcoin as well.
For example: the recent smartcoin wallet update from psionin, might be written about on a news site or blog

Thank you all for your support of the smartcoin forum I started a while back at smartcoin.boards.net
But I hope that someone will make a bigger and better forum for smartcoin, I know there is a forum at
smartcoin.cc but that forum has fallen into disuse for now. I know its alot of work to run a forum.
I will personally be spending some of my time trying to contact merchants to try and let them know
about advantages of having smartcoins themselves, and accepting smartcoins for payments for their
products or services (but its a little harder seeing as how we don't have payment processing yet,
but also the price of smartcoins does need to go up considerably and also have much more buyer support )

Everyone who asks about the SMC dev (psionin) needs to understand he came in a switched it x11 and that's all he was brought on board to do. It's up to the community to polish the coins and get them active again. Psionin said if we had great ideas and needed dev service, he'd do so. Until we get to that point where we need him, it's up to us to carry the coin.

And we're doing a good job, there's been more activity and price movements than before I started pep-rallying you guys. Let's keep it up!
