when btc & blockchain.com give you a heart attack!

send some btc to my new address, with a slow transaction speed (to save on fees). Went out and later that night i thought i would check the address on blockchain.com
had a bloody heart attack when it said "balance 0.0000" and also said there had been my coins in "Total Received" and "Total Sent"...... i have not authorized a SENT!!!!!!
i was unable to check my wallet as I was not home. But i finally calmed down when i checked later and the balance was correct...... and it said "Total Received" only. must have been still updating or something

ahh, so i just created a passphrase wallet. does this mean - i can destroy/lose my hardware usb device, buy a new one, then re-create my wallet with my seed words. But then, i also equally need my passphrase to access the btc? if this is the case i like it, i can store my seed words and my passphrase at separate locations

So as I understand it, my seed is my extreme backup if all else fails i can access my btc again anywhere anytime with my seed words. Then my hardware usb device is a functioning device for signing transactions, i can use it to send money from my encrypted wallet that has my seed stored in it

thanks all for the input, i did mean to say split into 6/6 and keep 6 here in my safe and 6 at my parents safe. however someone mentioned passphrasing them which i will look into, could be the best solution

rather than setting up a multisig, would it be good to split my seed words into two remote locations? or is this idea flawed in some way?
