Board Mining (Altcoins)
Re: Mining ETH is now no profit

I do not mine, honestly.
but, if I were engaged in this, then surely I would mine the ethereum.
Bitcoin, of course, cannot be mined now on video cards, but I think it is worth mining the second most capitalized coin.
Moreover, the price is now growing and in the near future, it seems to be worth very well. Furthermore, ether is the least volatile of all altcoins, and the most liquid.
It is already clear that the Ethereum is like Google in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Re: Top 3 Reasons To DUMP Binance Coin (BNB)
by
sh4dtechnr
on 31/05/2019, 17:13:44 UTC
1. It is centralized

BNB is centralized.

It's minted by a single guy sitting in a cubicle somewhere.

It is nothing at all of what makes cryptocurrencies special.

2. If Binance goes down, so does BNB

This stems from point 1.

If Binance is hacked (?) again like they were a couple weeks ago, BNB goes to shit. All it takes is one issue with Binance and BNB goes kaput.

BNB depends 100% on a central institution which can be the next Bitconnect

3. Exchanges are commodities

There are TENS of large exchanges and hundreds of smaller ones.

You can shapeshift any crypto into any other crypto any time you want.

Being part of an exchange does not make BNB special at all. Getting listed on large exchanges is a matter of making a $$ deposit. Any serious crypto can afford to be listed on top exchanges.

So that's it my friends. Don't believe the hype. Look at fundamentals always.

Most top 10 coins do nothing.

BTC and ETH actually have a purpose. The others are either vaporware or 100% hype.

Ahoy!
Nice try  Grin Grin Grin
In fact, your composition works against you.
It is clear to everyone that you want to bnb be dumped and you could buy cheaper.  Smiley
Oh god, i haven't laughed like that for a long time.
Did you really thought it would work?

Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs

ICOs is much better than traditional IPOs.
But the market was not ready for a huge amount of garbage, fraudulent projects that spammed all this space. Because of which many had a negative impression about ICOs.
In fact, the market is still very very young and makes its first steps. The problems is being solved, new ways and solutions are being created, and i think we will still see many new projects and success stories in the future. Wink

What are your views on the current state of Crypto currency markets ? How does the future looks like?

Dollar is scam.

The future of all currencies is the blockchain technologies. And BTCitcoin is the number one global currency. Undoubtedly.

But when is that future? That is the question number one.

Nowadays, humanity is UNDOUBTEDLY not ready for it, guys. So calm down.)

Bitcoin should be viewed as a means of storing value, and not a means of payment or transfer. Bitcoin is digital gold. You don't pay gold for coffee, right? For this purpose, there is a very good altcoins like nano, bch, and so on.. doge very good, i think.. and Verge (private).

The problem of Bitcoin's scalability has not yet been resolved and commissions with it's price increase will be even more expensive.. The network will lag terribly. This is a sad truth. That problem should be solved by the full implementation of the the lightning network.. Maybe in the future there will be some other kind of new technologies, that will solve the problem of Bitcoin's scalability.

So much positive news lately. Roll Eyes no one will argue with the fact that facebook is one of the most influential corporations in the world, if not the most influential. And the fact that it enters the cryptocurrency industry is super positive news for it, capable of raising the market capitalization to trillions of dollars.

A very fun platform, recently launched, playgame, assembled a hardcap on the ico. On the platform there are Tetris, 2048 and other games that are familiar to many, by playing in which you can compete with your friends for the tokens of the platform PXG or BNB (binance coin).

How can I store the following desktop cryptocurrency wallets on a USB flash drive?

- OKCash Client
- Verge Electrum Wallet
- Reddcoin Core Wallet
- RevolutionVR Wallet
- Bitbay Marketplace Client

Do I simply disconnect the internet, plug in a flash drive, click on "backup wallet", an voila`? Is it that simple?

Would this process restore my wallets (with balances) in the event I purchased a new PC that has none of the wallet files installed on it?

FYI: All my other cryptocurrencies are on Ledger Nano S (Ledger doesn't support the above-mentioned coins).

Maybe you can save/copy wallet.dat from each wallet you mention above and if you do this you can install it on your new PC
This sounds good. I can transfer just a little cryptocurrency to the wallet, copy the wallet.dat file to a USB, then delete all the wallet's files on my computer. Then, I can plug in my USB again and see if my balance is still there, and if the wallet works.

But make sure you make at least a 2 copies of your backup. Many people have lost their coins due to corrupted USB or hard disk or due to accidents like fire. Printing the private key in paper and storing in a different location could be a good backup or self crypting the private key and storing it into cloud is another great idea.
Or you can simply write down the private keys with a pen on paper, shove it in a glass bottle and bury it somewhere in the forest. Remember the coordinates and location or save it somewhere in the cloud. I think this option is the most reliable. ))

Crypto is not for weak hands, that's for sure. Your investment here can both depreciate or become several times more expensive in a very short period of time. Many after the first failures give up, and never invest in a crypto anymore. Hope, your story will help many not to surrender at a crucial moment, thank you.

Why do they have two different apps?
One on your link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.taucoin.android.wallet
another is this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mofei.tau
Both apps are from Taucoin.io. How can this be explained? Are these two different coins from the same developer? Or what?

Yes, they are both from the same developer. TAUT is testnet coin and this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mofei.tau) is for TAUT. If you don’t have TAUT, you shouldn’t even pay attention to this application. Though, you can buy testnet coins from the community in p2p groups (https://taucointalk.org/index.php?board=144.0). It is now very cheap. On January 1st, 2020, these coins will swaped onto the main TAU coin in the ratio of 1 : 1.

I found out what it was.. TAUT is the second coin, developers felt sorry to close the test network TAU and they did it. Looks like greed. Undecided
*lol this another crap and why the dev needs to create even second coin and they can't even create the one properly? Just curious about why people are still interested to burn their phone by mine this crap coin.
if that was a second coin and does it build in the same blockchain? or it uses a new one as per the app is not even merged into the one app.
As I said before, mining of the TAU coin will not load your phone at all thanks to it's unique algorithm, you can see in the application how much power and memory it uses.  Smiley

Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise

I don't understand, their CMs have said multiple times that
their devs are/were affiliated with pivx, what's scammy about it?

Observing how their team works, it does not seen like a scam to me but you never know.

VEIL team is quite communicative and open about the project.
I don't understand why you shout out SCAM just beause they work in more than one project.

seems like just cheap FUD for me if you don't argument.
So veil developers are creators of pivx? Cool! Where is scam?
Have you ever seen pivx ROI?
Given this fact, I like the veil even more, at the beginning of which joerney I am standing now!

I have been in the industry for quite a long time, I follow it almost every day and, I think, I am quite experienced in this subject. Recently, I am not investing in ico at all.
It is better to choose a coin that has its own network, mineable and community driven.
It should be decentralized enough, as transparent and honest with its community as possible, and, of course, highly technological.
TAU (True asset unit) and Veil coins is my choices for 2019.

Judging by the date of this thread post, if the author invested at this time, he entered the market very profitably. But I think that now those who have entered then, need to go out, because a very strong correction is waiting for us!
