Meanwhile, the world's largest chemical complex [Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/russian-gas-cuts-threaten-worlds-largest-chemicals-hub-11656316625]BASF is under threat of closure due to cuts in Russian gas supplies[/url]. For reference, this is an agglomeration of more than 200 plants in Germany, for which natural gas is both a source of energy and a raw material for production.
Personally don't believe that so significant and strategic agglomeration can be closed, even partially. One of the bad news on the current global negative background

One interesting transfer was to this address:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qm34lsc65zpw79lxes69zkqmk6ee3ewf0j77s3h it holds 35016.15030071 BTC
That address is a Binance hot wallet.

What was the path of coins from your wallet to this Binance address? Obviously they have been deposited to Binance at some point, but that does not mean the person who deposited them to Binance was the person who stole from you, and even if it was, it doesn't mean they were deposited under the scammer's account or name.

May I ask you how have you indicate this address bc1qm34lsc65zpw79lxes69zkqmk6ee3ewf0j77s3h as binance hot wallet?

https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-ethereum-mining-limiter-cannot-be-hacked/

Well I think Nvidia just fucked themselves by challenging everyone to hack the unhackable.

If it only targets eth then eth could change their algo.

I's hard to say how much is bluster. Nvidia's claims seem exagerated to please gamers.
I'm sure hackers are already reverse engineering the limiter.

I'm curious if they are just checking for eth and not other algos too.   Huh Huh

and nothing is unhackable... it just hasn't been hacked yet.  Grin Grin

only eth

How are they going to force miners to update to the newest driver? Without such mechanism, this isn't really a solution. Also, miners could just try to create their own drivers in the future. And the worst, if their algorithms would detect false-positives during gaming, it could create very annoying frame drops that would ruin the experience for people who just bought a top GPU for games.

IMO Nvidia should create ASICS based on their GPU technology that will far outperform their GPU in mining, to solve the problem once and for all. Releasing dedicated mining GPU is not enough, miners actually seek gaming GPUs because they have higher resale value once the bull run is over.

I dont follow what you are saying at all.

They are only limiting the 3060. Nvidia made the hardware and they alone make the drivers. The 3060 will not run on drivers currently available. So when Nvidia releases the 3060 drivers on launch, they will be modified to reduce hashrate.

There will be no way to "unlock" hashrate because the drivers are closed source. I imagine its going to be a little harder than unlocking unlimited NVENC sessions on geforce cards like I did for my 1650 Super in my Plex server.

Nvidia isnt stupid. Someone may figure out a driver hack but if they do, dont count on it being made public.

nvidia had already locked the hashrate. some enthusiast on youtube just tested zotac 3060 : eth hashrate was 45 mh/s and then after few seconds went down no 25 mh/s

Hi,

I am kinda new here (as a registered user that is), I had to reply to this p-104 trend that been going on here.
so let me tell you I have no idea what is unique "bios" who is getting to 39mhs...

I have made some changes today we are running a machine with 8 cards P-104 (44-43 mhs per card) reaching
easily to 345 mhs not to mention running on 160watts instead of 180watts with linux centos.

I am using a private version of ethminer here are some screen shots from the teamviewer.
https://imgur.com/gallery/SwKM6U0

Best regards,

CNILSECURE.

P.S. Sorry i havent figure out yet how to insert the image directly to here

HOLY SMOKES. 44MH/s on a single P104-100?

Yup  Smiley 44mhs X 8 cards

Could you please tell what a private version of ethminer and where am I able to find it? I can not write you a private message=(

What clocks are you using?

Could be sillicon lotery, my 56 for example doesnt really like anything above 935Mhz on memory.

so what's hashrate you have on your vega 56 with 935Mhz on memory?
have you flashed also bios to 64?

is a new version in development? this one is not good at all vs sgminer...

my hashrate

claymore 9.7 4700h/s -> 700watts from the wall

sgminer 5.5 5500h/s -> 650watts from the wall

would love to use claymore miner but for now sgminer is more profitable Cheesy

6*rx580 8gb

It will be interesting if you will post another result of your test with new upcoming version Claymore

I decided to upgrade this miner to common codebase that I use for dual and zcash miners, it will take additional 2-3 days. I'll try to release new version this weekend, but no guaranties.

Vega support?

I kind of doubt it based on his tenative ETA, but maybe. Reason being, he says he's already gotta update the framework to the same one he uses for his other miners, which I'm guessing isn't a super simple task given how long this miner has been unchanged (during which time he's released quite a few updated to his other miners.) Adding support for Vega that is presentable isn't super simple, either, as optimizations for new ISA extensions do take a bit. This might be made simpler if he leverages some of the more advanced features of the new LLVM/Clang toolchain used for ROCm, though.

Additionally, even if he wanted to rush out a basic implementation of Vega support, he also is at least somewhat mindful of protecting his intellectual property: he won't be able to embed his kernels for Vega like he has done for some of the others (as AMD IL), simply because Vega only works with the new ROCm stack, and there IS no AMD IL used anymore. Since there's really only one GCN version which MUST be used with ROCm, though, I suppose he could simply embed it as ISA like he's done with some others. Plus, then, he has to thwart the common debugging/analysis angles that he's already covered for the old, Catalyst based shit (such as GPU_DUMP_DEVICE_KERNEL, or AMD_OCL_BUILD_OPTIONS_APPEND environment variables.)

So, for him, it's not likely to be a simple and straightforward implement and then run the executable through his packer of choice (I believe this is VMProtect for his Windows based ones, his Linux based ones he uses a stub which loads one of the bin files in the current directory, transforms it using appears to be a custom permutation, and then executes it - this new binary is packed with UPX (I forget which version it is now; also, see footnote.))

Footnote: Claymore, you don't have to respond - in fact, I'm fairly sure you won't - but please, for the Linux miners... at least clobber the UPX signature on the decoded Data3.bin. That really was a glaring inattention to detail, IMO.

1. CN miner is rather old, it was created in 2014, and I rarely updated it. For dual and zcach miners I made hundreds of updates in code, I cannot apply them all to this miner easily. So I have to move stratum/kernels code and related stuff to latest framework. Not a complex task, but to make everything work properly, I will have to spend a couple of days at least.
2. Vega support for Windows - yes. For Linux - not right now, my devtools for asm don't work with ROCm, I will have to spend some time to add it.
3. I'm not going to create any good protection for Linux, it's impossible for opensource OS. So if you have some skills you can crack it and be happy Smiley
PS. UPX license does not allow you to change generated binary. Anyway, changing signature is too easy, I could change entire compression method, but I have much more important things in my todo list.
"but I have much more important things in my todo list" -  kind of? just curious
If it is not a secret or secrets - it will be great to hear just some of them

with the updated version of Polaris Bios Editor using the supplied timings instead of copying the 1500 timings I get roughly 0.2 - 0.4mh more per card

There appears to be two versions of Polaris Bios Editor V1.6 ?
The one from https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor has the "One Click Timing Patch" option and the other has the option "Apply Ubermix 3.1 Samsung Timings" - both say they they are version 1.6.
I've been using the "Ubermix" version with no problems - can't remember where I downloaded it from.

Does anynoe know what the difference between the 'One Click' and the 'Ubermix' timing are ?
I'll have a go myself and see if I can spot anything - I may be some time figuring this out.

There are different forks of PBE listed on

http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xx

The jaschaknack PBE v1.6 is the most updated version. The 'one click timing patch' includes the Ubermix v3.1 Samsung timing as well as performance straps for other memory types. It depends on the memory type/types detected on which performance strap is applied.

Is it possible/better to apply timings with "one click button" and also set parameters for downvolting each GPU ?

installed on the 1 rig with win7 robinhood's version (first opened ddu, then patched, then installed fixed drivers) *amd blockchain drivers crushes claymore 9.8*
and on the 2 rig with win10 installed Amd official blockchain (just update from the panel right click and restart the rig)
both versions work perfect - 30.3 mh/s on rx 580 nitro+ 4gb now
Claymore 9.8 with mcclock and cvclock parametrs works very unstable for me.
I installed also afterburner 4.4 beta 16 on both rigs over previous version AB
and seems that with saved profiles previously all parameters for all GPUs is working well.
