We plan to implement a buy-and-burn strategy in order to reduce supply and increase demand. We will buy periodically some tokens an burn them. Also we plan to burn tokens for each transaction processed inside our system.
The idea is very interesting.
Don't you think that more expensive tokens will decrease the amount of your customers? You are not the only such project here. Your customers may consider joining other similar but cheaper projects.
Hi tanks for your comment

Our customers (employers) will be funding their accounts with USD (Paypal) or Crypto (BTC, ETH) in order to pay for jobs.
Once they fund the account, they will receive a certain number of tokens based on current token price.
If, for example, at the time of purchase, the token price is $1 and the customer deposit $100 then he/she will receive 100 tokens.
The customer knows how much in USD he is holding and how much he is willing to pay for the project.
So if he/she decides to pay $50 for a task then it is just a matter of paying $50 worth of tokens to the freelancer.
So it doesn't really matter what is the price of the tokens as it will always be calculated against USD.

Now, the interesting part is that when the price of the tokens goes up, tokenholders will make immediate profit.

Also, since we will be burning tokens, the supply will keep being reduced therefore increasing demand. With increasing demand, the price of the token will go up for sure and current tokenholders can sell their tokens for whatever price they decide.

Please note that after the ICO period, no more tokens will be sold which means that all new customers will have to buy tokens from current tokenholders.

Thanks for your explanation. But I understand that myself.
The questions remains unanswered...
Expensive tokens can decrease the amount of your new customers. What will be the reason for them to buy tokens from other users on high price?
There is a risk of your token being used only for trading/speculating.
I'm still not sure that there is sense in increasing token's price.

Looks like well-administered thread to me!
I see that you don't have a bounty program or airdrop.
I'm not sure about bounty but airdrop spoils threads immensely...
I think your project is worth further exploration Smiley

I agree you concerning airdrop.
But I think that bounty program could make a great promotion for this project.

We had the bounty program and it was closed at the end of 2017.
Actually bounties are not so good for a long-term projects as they are for short-term ones.

I'm not sure I understand how bounty can be not very good. But I guess you are more experienced in it and you know what you say Smiley

I see it this way:
On this forum you can see some posts of experienced people (no less than a member in rank) who participate in bounties. Those posts are not informative or interesting at all (just a couple of words of praise). But they do it with cause to show a link to a project in their signature.
Yes, it gives more visitors for a project but they very seldom join in. So the visitors are not useful for a project but bounties must be paid.
On this very project there is a referral program where a member who invited a person to sign in and participate in ICO receives a % of the amount of payment.
This method is profitable for both an advertiser and the project (Win-Win).

Hi guys!
I'm impressed by video of your partnering hackspace!
I bet you'll compete with Tesla some time! Wink
Great proj. I think it's worth further researching.

Very interesting comparison Smiley
But as far as I know Tesla creates its own products and this project is created for helping high-tech start-upers and inventors.

If you use KYC for airdrop and bounty you will lose most respective members. Many people here don't like KYC requirement for airdrop and bounty campaigns.
And many of them don't like KYC for ICO as well.

You may be right. But it means that "our" cryptocurrency will be strong in our country and still we'll be able to trade it on exchanges.
Many new project starts on the basis of NEO now. So we won't have ICOs shortage Smiley
And the existing projects can issue parallel coins on NEO.
e.g. "HAC2"/"NEOHAC"/...  Wink

Interesting idea. Just like in Venezuela. One coin had success and they decided to announce one more Grin

I think that could be a good idea for:
  • Very big Cap projects (realty, etc.).
  • A product with super high demand.
  • A separate hackspace/s (e.g. in one country or part of world, mainland).

But creating and selling separate coins would take a very long time.

Yes, if ICOs are run in consecutive terms it'll take really long time to finish one and start another.
If run in parallel it'll take one more team Smiley
I guess these variants are only theoretically possible.

Re: bitcoin is really great
by

At the moment I watch how good it is and am amazed at my guesses that there will be a precipitous drop, it is interesting below the level of 7k to overcome or stop at 8k. Clearly only one, bitcoin is not the same and investing in it is much more risky than in any alt.

I think so too. I strongly doubt that BTC will reach 20K again soon or even ever.
But people who bought it on rise will hold it as much as possible.

Hello.
Your project is very interesting for me.
Citizens of which countries can take part in your ICO?
Hello.
Participating in ICO is possible from almost all countries but for some rare exceptions (e.g. USA).
Still the best way to find out if you country doesn't restrict cryptocurrency is to consult a lawyer.

My country is not banning cryptos but there is some rumor that authorities want to take control of its usage Embarrassed

The same situation is in my country as well. It's tending to begin banning.

Yes, some countries try to control cryptocurrency nowadays. But don't confuse control with banning.
Those are different things. You can take part in ICO when crypto usage is controlled but you can't participate if it's banned.

I agree with all the participants who says about diversification of investment. That's the basic rule.
But if I really had to choose 1 alt I'd choose ETH for now.
I'll research your XLM and may be I'll change my mind Smiley

And I'm most interested in your hardware wallet. Looking forward to it's launch on market.
It looks good but I wouldn't get any hardware wallet for me because I lose my phones no less than once in half a year Sad
That's a pity. But hard-wallets have also many advantages. They are safer and more convenient.
You could have only part of money there if you are afraid of losing it.
There is one popular advice for people who has lots of cryptos and are afraid to lose it. The advice is to install a local wallet on laptop and never use internet connection on it. In other words it means to buy a laptop/pc for using only as crypto wallet.
This can be applied to phone as well. Just buy a phone for wallet (even used one will be enough) and keep it in safe(lock box) at home Smiley
I've heard that advice and your idea to use phone for it is rather worthy.

Isn't it simpler just to leave cover with wallet at home? And cheaper of course Smiley

Of course it's simpler. But not safer.
The main idea here is to have advice which is not connected to internet.
For people who has great amount of cryptos it will be cheaper to buy a device for wallet than lose all money by been hacked.

A good question is: "why would cloud mining companies sell to us if they could just mine for themselves?"

That question came to my head too.
The only explanation I can imagine is that they use money from renting for buying new equipment and for increasing their profits.

I just wonder why tokens need to be added to many exchanges and how they differ.

The exchanges differ in:
  • interface
  • quantity of currencies
  • charts
  • trading instruments
  • indicators etc.

People often register on a few exchanges and then decide which one is the best and the most convenient for their purposes.

Re: Is anyone active on Steemit?
by
shabalinoff
on 01/03/2018, 14:53:02 UTC
putting your steemit in your signature space might help you get those extra viewers. I don't write for steemit but am always looking for quality content posted about altcoins. I'll check out your account and hopefully you have got some good content.

How much do you earn per post?
It usually hovers between $1 - $5, but I've only been blogging for about 1 month. I don't really post too much about altcoins, mostly very diverse content.
I'm already part of a campaign on this forum, so my signature space is taken. Might consider changing it in the future though.

What is steemit can you please explain what is it? Because it keeps on my mind and i research about it but its still hard to understand the purpose of that

Users can write articles about cryptocurrency and possibly other topics and receive money per view? I think it's per view but could be mistaken there. Generally people post guides on how to do things but I think reviews may be allowed too.

It's a good little earner if you are good at writing and have a good knowledge of the subject.

Any kind of topic is allowed on Steemit. There are people who use it liek Instagram and post personal blogs and pictures.
The earnings are per upvote, not per view.

Thank you for explanation!
I think I'll soon register there too.
I bookmarked you profile so I won't lose it.

Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad
by

In his own reddit AskMeEverything page, https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/80ow6w/im_bill_gates_cochair_of_the_bill_melinda_gates/

He answers about cryptocurrency stating
“The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.”

He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

Actually initially cryptocurrency was created as a opposition to authorities and banking system. And now authorities in many countries actively try to set up control on cryptos.
Concerning BG, he is too old-fashioned for accepting crypto.
I will not get surprised if he decides to ban crypto sites in new windows updates in future Grin

Re: What is The Most Privacy Coin In The World
by
shabalinoff
on 28/02/2018, 10:44:01 UTC
Coin that is privacy is the privacy coin. I think it is bitcoin if we talk about privacy. Btc wouldn't ask anything to one person diaries or curriculum vetai. Btc is anonymously from the beginning until now.

Are serious? Grin How can BTC be called private when it's traded on exchanges which can give info about their users to goverments? e.g. One of exchanges is planning to give all their users' info to US goverment. Where is privacy here?

Besides there is one very good post about privacy here:

What is The Most Privacy Coin In The World? As revolutionary as Bitcoin is, it has one major flaw privacy. Since the blockchain ledger is public, all transactions by all addresses are completely exposed. This rightly causes some feelings of insecurity. After reading this, I can hear some of you say Big deal I don’t have anything to hide or I don’t mind people knowing what my transactions are. I respectfully disagree Even if we have done nothing wrong, our transactions are no one else’s business. What if I were to challenge you to approach the nearest stranger you can find and show him your credit card bills for the past 5 years, or to lend your phone to a colleague and tell him to browse through your emails and messages? Wouldn’t you feel hesitant? Wouldn’t you feel violated just because you have nothing to hide doesn’t mean people or governments should be able to snoop on you. If you agree or at least can see my point, then please continue reading.

And I completely agree to it.
