no whats fueling this is a bunch of new people showing up pissed that they are not magically making money, websites go down or get ddos;d, whats is different about this.

What's different about this is that people pay Cryptsy. Fees. You don't pay random websites so you don't care that they go down. If you pay for some delivery or for bank transfers and the money vanishes or is incredibly delayed, you'd have every right to be pissed. Stop the hypocrisy. Here it's the same thing. Look at the volume, fees must add up to a lot of cash (that's why they don't do "No fees until it's resolved").

I wonder if anybody switch to other exchanges and what their experience is like. A while back it seemed like cryptsy was pretty much the only option to trade alts but now there may be more/better alternatives.

Because it's "free" (but we actually pay more fees than using banks), we think it's fine that this happens (and some bullshit dude said we should be understanding and patient).
To him I say: if your money was to disappear from your bank account and not show in your pending/past operations, would you be "understanding"? Must be a nice bank customer.

Placed QRK sell orders. QRK subtracted from my balance, not visible in my placed orders, not visible in my past orders. The QRKs are just gone.

Fuck that shit.

Also, if you wonder why they don't disable auto-sell and new user registration while they fix all these issues, it's simply because there is a massive amount of transactions happening and we pay fees for each of them, and that's probably a shit load of money every day.

Now I'm afraid to withdraw everything while they fix everything because all my coins might just disappear.

The only thing I am still noticing is some minor lag.

Haven't seen the issues you guys are crying about and my support tickets are getting answered pretty quickly.

I've deposited, withdrawn and traded LTC, FTC, CAP, GLD, GLX, IXC and PXC in fairly large amounts.

Again no real issues other than speed.

I tried to buy and sell WDC/BTC by actually clicking on existing order in the books, my orders get placed, no trade occurs even though I can still see the orders I was selecting in the books, half an hour later I cancel my orders and go to another exchange to trade.

Better than placing an order twice because you think it didn't work the first time, and you end up trading twice more than you wanted...

Good for you.

BTC withdrawal still pending. It's been a few hours.

I doubt it, it was dumped to death at the beginning. QRK rather belongs to the people who bought it during the first months and to the people who are buying huge volumes right now.

How long do QRK transfers usually take? I'm talking about deposits from pools to cryptsy or even local wallet?
I have observed that qrk.coinmine.pl -> cryptsy takes at least 30 minutes to even show up as pending deposit, and then another 30 minutes or more for the deposit to be confirmed.
And now I'm looking at payouts from http://176.221.46.81:8372/ to my local wallet and see a completely different frequency of transactions or rather hours of difference.

Unfortunately there is not functional QRK block explorer to see what's going on.

I was wondering if to be expected and what you guys thought about it.

By the way, has anyone compared profitability between qrk.coinmine.pl and this p2pool http://176.221.46.81:8372/static/ ? And I mean actual profit, not expected QRK/day from the stats page (which is completely off).

The only reasons one would scream to sell is so he can buy low or so that crypto sinks and others (that he holds) raise. And I'm sure it works pretty well.

I just saw another thread about a GPU miner (there are actually links to download it, screenshots from other people, etc.).
I was asking what happened because I was mining QRK and saw a huge drop in mined coins (related to difficulty), then saw a huge price increase.

A pump doesn't actually increase difficulty.

I think your FUD alert is FUD.

Difficulty was 100-150, now 2269? 20x times it's not increase difficulty?  Smiley

You're misunderstanding. Of course it's an increase in difficulty, because there is an increase of hashing power, not because there is a said price pump on exchanges.

Sorry maybe I misunderstanding, but as I so difficulty start increasing when price goes up.

It's the other way around: hashing power incrases -> difficulty increases -> price increases. Difficulty is calculated by the quarkcoin network. The network doesn't try to read prices on exchanges to set its difficulty.

What happened to QRK? Why has the price shot up so much recently?

Popularity. Marketing.

There's a lot more that can be done. Only if there are more devs.

That's very vague.

Why has the popularity suddenly increased?
How has the marketing changed recently?
Any recent news to point out?
Has the difficulty spiked up?
Why?
Is there a new CPU miner out there?
GPU miner completely outperforming CPU miners?

This doesn't happen randomly:

[Errno 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively re
fused it

Your cgminer is not listening on localhost on the port 4028. The monitor can't connect to it.

You can either launch cgminer with default API settings (listening interface/port), or you can edit these 2 lines at the top of cgminer-monitor.py.

Code:
cgminer_host = 'localhost'
cgminer_port = 4028

anyone else see something wrong with these figures?
hmmm, thats not good =/

blocks = POW / mined
moneysupply = POW / mined + POS / interests

No?

Can the people who built it for Windows 64-bit, explain a bit how they've done it?
Have you used mingw? mingw-w64?
Did you have to update the default packages?
Did you install every needed package by hand (configure, make, make install)?
Any other details?

Thanks.
