I have totally forgotten about WCG. I used to participate and do know why I stopped. Maybe I should stop drinking. But I will start to participate again and if I earn Bytes with it all the better.
(So many I's. But my english isn't good enough to write it better)

Blackbytes Bytes Exchange BEEB is offering you 1,000,000 Bytes!

Buy and sale your BlackBytes on BEEB! - http://beeb-bot.com

Here is your link to receive 1,000,000 Bytes: http://www.beeb-bot.com/textcoinclaim.php#textcoin?skull-chair-subway-bacon-century-ticket-story-mixed-language-margin-question-art

Has anyone tried this beeb-bot?

Yes. More than 10,000 GBB have already been traded on BEEB.
i tried this but the bot said that textcoin was already claimed.
i'm not sure if that means that it was already claimed by somebody and this link/phrases code is not working any longer, or if that means that i have somehow claimed this textcoin without knowing.
actually i have not claimed any textcoins yet so it would mean that somebody else used that link already and it is used and not working for others anymore.

The textcoin link works only once. More textcoins will be posted.
yes, but does that mean it only works once for everybody or does it only work once at all so that only one single person can use this link?
because when i did it the first (and only) time it said right from the beginning that it was already claimed (which i didn't do before).
so why do you post these links if only one single person can use this?

I think he does it to show this feature of Byteball.
With textcoins you can send real bytes through textmessages (E-Mail, Chat, ...)
I don't know of any other currency you can do this.
But of course you can only claim it once and it is normaly not something to post openly.

Hi guys. I need help.

I installed the byteball wallet from play store. I'm not sure but i think it didn't ask me if i wanted a light or a full wallet at start, and now it keep saying syncing.....

Do the android app default to a full wallet? I want a light wallet cause my android device can't contain the entire byteball blockchain.

What i did wrong?

Thanks.

This must be another problem. There is no full wallet for Android.

I have a question regarding blackbytes.
As I understand it: In a Blackbyte-Transaction only a hash of the transaction is stored in the DAG. The real proof of ownership is send to you and it is stored localy. This is the reason why you can't restore Blackbytes from your Seed.
My question is: Byteball itself is a distributed DB. Wouldn't it be possible to store this Blackbyte information in it? Of course encrypted by your public key. Mayby a little bit later then the transaction, so it would be impossible to link it.
Then it would be possible to restore all of your assets only whit your Seed. Or am i missing something?

What it could be wrong with Cryptopia? Why their wallet is not broadcasting transactions since December? @tonych will they contacted you for help?
This situation is getting a bit annoying. They don't even answer to tickets anymore

It is a know problem from an unknown cause.

At all: never... NEVER... NEVER! leave your crypto at any exchange unless you are a dayly trader.

Your coins feel much better on your local backuped wallet.

Its almost certainly a wallet upgrade issue - when they upgraded from 1.7 to the current version (with an upgrade in between), it seems they didn't know they had to use an SSD for Syncing. (Just like me.)

See this post on Reddit for more:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/7pxko2/gbyte_down_on_cryptopia/
I know, sadly, I know but sometimes one needs to use exchanges. My bad I did that at the wrong time.
On the other hand, my personal light wallet is safe, I have a full backup and I plan not to do anything with my GBYTE before the March Airdrop.
I do hope Cryptopia will solve the issue before then!

I had never problems with cryptox.pl
Why don't you just sell your GByte fot BTC on Cryptopia send them to Cryptox and buy GByte there?

Does the transition bot also work with BTC Segwit addresses? I want to claim Byteballs with the new Segwit adresses. Does anybody know that?

we can't, i'm in same situation
its too bad for a coin who want to be distributed free excluding a lot people because of that
instead arguing for the name, it will better to find a way to fix this

Byteball isn't excluding anybody.
In order to verify your adress you have to sign a message, but SegWit has no standard to sign a message.

You can send a micropayment. But with fees and change addresses to worry about, not sure if it's worth doing.

Ahh,yes. You are right.
But I think it would be than smarter to buy Bytes directly with the fees you would have paid for the registration :-D

Who understands the purses, explain to me (I can not understand this thrash):
1. Is there really still no Web-purse?
2. I downloaded the wallet for PC. Why does not it require a password or seed? How does he recognize me if I want to go from another PC?
3. Given point 2: how do I restore my wallet, if the PC crashes? (The wallet does not identify me at all, does not ask for a password or seed)

1) No there is no Webwallet
2) + 3) In the left under "Settings" you can find a option to set a password and to backup your seed ( or better a full backup which restores your Blackbytes too).

Blockfolio tells me that the only coins growing in terms of fiat are Byteball and NXT.
So what are you complaning about? All alts are getting slaughtered during a BTC-bullrun.
Look at ETH.

i had a question regarding the decentralised nature of byteball. It seems that the smart contracts are just bots using some special features making them very centralised. Any comments or feedback would be great.

What do you mean? Smart contracts can be used by anyone. You probably mean the oracles? Like the time oracle, which is a node that posts timestamps. Its true there is only one at the moment. But anyone could create one and utilize it. Or even a bunch of them and creat a smart contract which uses 5 oracles as a source.

I am yet to find the protocols for a smart contract / smart contract code, is there a documentation explaining how to code a smart contract on byteball?

My comment is based on: https://github.com/byteball/ico-bot

Which is just a bot to run the ICO to interact with the database. Which is not really a smart contract.

you might want to take a look at this page: https://github.com/byteball/byteballcore/wiki/Writing-chatbots-for-Byteball
If you want to take a look at conditional payment in action, feel free to connect to my bot #freebe. And play around with the sell and buy command. It will offer you a smart contract that way.

but that is still a bot operating with byteball. it is not very decentralised nor is it a "smart contract". Am i wrong here?

I'm happy to be proved wrong here but this is how I feel about the forks...

BCH - sold pretty much all straight away and did extremely well out of it and boosted my btc holdings.

Bgold - looks like it could be a waste of time and worth nothing more than a couple of potatoes each + no replay protection

2x - a real spanner in the works, no replay protection and creates yet more FUD and confusion on exchanges.

Personally I want the forks to fork off. I am slightly worried about doing anything with these coins due to the lack of replay protection which potentially could jeopardise my btc.

This Bgold smells fishy to me. From the very beginning when they released their copy and paste website put together by a dyslexic 7 year old. I'm not even going to take the language barrier as an excuse. If you are going to release something like this then start by making a decent web page.

Does everyone think the 2X fork will actually go ahead now that jeff garzik will be concentrating on his wondercoin and the fact that the 2x futures are now trading at $130~?

If B2X doesn't happen, how will the exchanges cope with the customers who bought it in exchange of their BTC? Will the trades be reversed?

(This may very well be applicable to BTG too)

If the fork doesn't happen BT2 will have a value of 0 and you will get simply nothing.
The one how bougth this shit have only lose the gamble.

XAPO says "there can be more than 21,000,000 bitcoins"
by
shinjikun
on 10/10/2017, 12:40:05 UTC
From there statement regarding the segwit2x fork:
"Xapo’s policy in regards to forks is that, when there is a fork, we always follow the chain with the most accumulated difficulty and we make the minority chain available to our customers for them to sell or withdraw from Xapo. "

So, if someone changes the hardcoded rule about the limit of 21,000,000 btc max. it would be totally fine for XAPO as long as the new chain has the most hashrate.

This is why segwit2x is a serious threat to all cryptocurrencies.  We could no longer argue why some rules are irrevocable.

I think we should start purchasing wherever possible from partners of byteball as we will have two immediate benefits. First 10% cashback in bytes which is very good is like free and second byteball will be to everyday life usage. We have to buy things anyway then why not to buy from those using byteballs as partners.

I think all agree on this.
But i just bougth from 50% of all merchants.

As for now there are only 2 or have i missed something?

Byteball is moving away from dropping based on Coin (bitcoin or altcoin) holdings.  It's moved to benefit people that actually have Byteball.
And that is really a great step! I am holding Byteball since many months, good that this will be more rewarded than holding another coin.
It would be great if they change the distribution model to benefit the Long-Term Holder, maybe 10% for Coins holding longer than a month, that will decrease the dump every time.

On the contrary. YOu schuldn't hold ByteBall but spend it. It is a currency after all.
So what Tony is doing is just rigth. Give CAshback to people who are using it.
What we really need are much more merchants.

I am glad that the next airdrop will be skipted.

This is ridiculous. Everybody is awaiting a dump after the airdrop, so everybody dumps.

Maybe so we get some stady grow. ByteBall is totally undervalued.

Premiumize does not reflect on its site that Gbyte is acceptable as the payment option while nodeshare does.

What?

Off course it does. It is even the latest news on their website that you get cashback if you pay with it.

If I hold my Byteballs on Bittrex, will I get the Airdrop?

No. Bittrex is keeping them.

Withdraw all your Byteball to your Wallet and link them if you wan't your free blackbytes.

I don't know why people keep asking about the price. It is the same as ever. Since the existing of altcoins.
When Bitcoin is pumped nearly all altcoins are falling.
When you go to Bittrex and watch "USDT-BTC" and "BTC-GBYTE" simultaneously you can see it clearly.
