I cashed out when it hit 110 a week or 2 ago, then watched it go up to 250 now back down to under 100, so i'm feeling kinda eh right now.
Cashed out my ltc at just over $4 a piece as well.

I honestly would refrain from doing this to such a cherish-able laptop.  I just feel like it would burn out cooling pad or not rather quickly.

So if I am reading this right there is no way to access the on board chips to reprogram them?
They can't be reprogrammed that's why they're so good at what they do!

It is possible to track them, but it's irreversible so its useless.
I don't think there is some sort of blacklist but I may be wrong.

Would never happen, they play in billion and trillion dollar markets, not million dollar markets that haven't even hit a bill market value/cap/whatever
It did hit $1Billion market value.
If it did it must've just happened.

Either way.

Maria, you never signed and verified your earliest block like you said you would.

Now you want to create a new blockchain?  Early adopter is hard to believe.

Sir, what would you like me to write on the block?

Maria 2.0
I don't know, maria 2.0 was here?

I think if the bitcoin does what its intended for that there will be some sort of medium, determined within the next year I guess, that will result in a flat-fiat-value.

Today we received 3 cash orders ... one of which was an empty envelope.  It was not tampered with, nor was the label removed and replaced, so either someone stole the cash from the package miraculously, or the client sent an empty envelope knowing we would at least split the "loss" with them.  We did split the loss and sent $400 worth of btc, but this makes it clear that accepting payment via this method is not a reliable option.  Sad
It's very admirable of you to have sent the $400 dollars worth of btc to whomever anyway.  But I suggest you make people understand that if money is missing from the envelope you are not responsible.  As you shouldn't be.

Emailing the person in question, he believes me that the envelope was empty and says now that the lady at the post office was in a hurry and he didn't wait to make sure that she actually sealed the cash inside.

Hm.

As for splitting the loss - I'm just doing what I hope someone would do for me.  Then again, I think I would have packaged the cash myself and never let a postal employee do so!  Ah well, this has been a month of losses, and a month of lessons!
For some reason when I came back to see if you responded my post didn't even show up.  Damn cache I guess.

But yeah this person, based upon your posts after this prove he/she is likely a scammer.
I wish you the best of luck with your business as you seem highly reliable and everyone is saying youre good!

There isn't a set amount.  People just make them and they use private keys as 'value'.

Part of the idea is, you don't just give out your wallets so people know who's wallet it is.

I'm not too technical on this type of thing.

Bitcoin backing, blockchain.info?
by
shockvibee
on 20/03/2013, 20:09:50 UTC
So I have a question, is there anything ACTUALLY backing up btc?  I understand the process of obtaining btc but I might not have read in enough.  I noticed blockchain.info doesn't get any support, and that's where btc comes from, right?

If you aren't receiving any support from a website that is the center of btc, why would you put all of this money in to it?

Is it possible everyone could wake up one morning and blockchain.info be gone? What would happen to btc?
