The absence of a natural striker for Arsenal is really denying them the goals they should have scored in this game with the chances Bukayo Saka has created in Madrid's third half.

The second half half has just entered with an opener goal for Arsenal in a solid but beautiful free kick from Declan Rice in the 58th minutes. Arsenal is now leading with a lone goal and still pressuring Madrid in a way I never expected. Can Arsenal take all three points tonight or Madrid might level before full-time?

But I don't think that Havertz would fill that gap that Arsenal has. They need a top striker like Mbappe or Kane, strikers who score more than 25 goals a season. Havertz is more average in my opinion and not the same level as those top strikers the teams like Liverpool, Real Madrid or Barcelona have. It is something they have not had for many seasons now and maybe that was what was missing to get them onto the level they have to be to win titles.

You have to go with the bookies and then you say you go with Real Madrid, but the bookies see Arsenal as the favorite.

You think they have been a good team two seasons ago and it is true that they had more points by the same time of the season, but they stil have only lost three games this season so far in the Premier League and you should take into account that they are so far behind Liverpool, that I think they have given up on that title a while ago. Like not entirely given up, but they were being realistic about it.

But by no means would I underestimate them in the Champions League. There is no reason to do so. When the second from the Premier League is your opponent, everyone knows it is gonna be hard.
Arsenal is the favorite for Bookmakers in the match against Real today, but I would not rate the teams too much based on the odds today. I admit that Arsenal can play a good match and beat Real, but for now I am looking at the bet Real will not lose for 1.7, or Real total over 1 for odds of 1.83. But I will bet live, I think that there will be no quick goal and in live I will be able to catch much better odds. I think that Real will not lose today, Real with a handicap (0) for 2.58 also looks tempting, but I will not rush, if Real concede first I will bet on them + handicap.

Real Madrid not to lose for 1.7 is quite good. I think it would use it for a parlay bet if I had to choose. Game is on now and I am excited to see how these two games will end. Very exciting games both of them. Bayern and Inter are both able to win and I think the same counts for Arsenal and Real Madrid. Inter can be dangerous with their defensive way to play but then have these amazing attackers and can score all the time.

Since the arrival of Antony from Manchester United as loan player, Real Betis' performance has been very consistent with winning every match both in domestic matches and UEFA Conference League matches. Real Betis success defeating Real Madrid and hold draw Barcelona last match make significant improving Real Betis performance until raise to 6th standings position with 6 points left to secure UEFA Champion League spot standings.

Huge influence since the arrival of Antony from Manchester United and make Betis have solid tandem with Isco as crucial midfielder players, but have bit problem for Real Betis to give permanent contract for Antony due high transfer fees and likely he will return back to Manchester United after his loan expiring. If can give permanent contract for Antony I don't think Real Betis end likely Girona for next season because they have many top players from Isco and Batra.

Antony's impact has been quite limited to say the least. His two goals contribution doesn't change much in my opinion. His contribution could be about posing more of a threat to the other teams, but I still think that two goals is still not what Real Betis expected.

This can change and he may need some time to get to know the whole team, but I think that high quality players shouldn't need several months to finally reach their best level.

I know Kevin De Bruyne excel in the Saudi Pro League if he eventually makes a move there. It will also be a plus to the Saudis if such a player is transferred to their league if Debruyne joins as it will improve the quality of the league and for the big earnings I also think Kevin de Bruyne deserves it. I’d like to see him join Al Nassr so he can team up with Ronaldo, I will love to see what these two can accomplish together.
Some time ago I read an article that said that Kevin De Bruyne was more interested in moving to MLS than Saudi Arabia, saying that his reasons were better for himself and his family, but that doesn't mean he refused to go to Saudi Arabia because I think it depends on how much Saudi Arabia is able to convince the player because reportedly Ronaldo is also using his connections to persuade the Belgian star to join Al Nassr, the salary offered by Saudi Arabia will certainly be very tempting and may be difficult to refuse because after all Kevin De Bruyne has to consider the long term before retiring from football.

This is what it is all about. Smiley

Manchester City’s vice-captain Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly subject to a staggering €150 million proposal from Saudi Arabia over a two-year period.

De Bruyne has been earning a lot of money for many years now and I think he probably around 230 million in salary only from Manchester City. Sponsorships and other deals may have pushed that figure towards 400 million.

But still if you can make €150 million in two years and you get all the bonus rights you want to live a comfortable life in Saudi Arabia, it's hard to refuse it. That amount is still a lot of money even when they are multimillionaires with hundreds of millions. It is just about money per time and this is insane. Ronaldo is making more than half a million per day. Cheesy

Leverkusen got lucky with that extra time goal, and sure, Bayern still sits comfortably six points ahead

Kane scores his goals, gets his titles, but he wants more than the Bundesliga in Germany... This is not what he wanted when he decided to go to Bayern.

Bayer Leverkusen are not meeting the require standards this season, they've struggled to reach a stage of consistency in games but this season is entirely a different one for them. Xabi Alonso have always keep a close eye on his players but can he explain what's happening currently? The players are not performing to their very peak, its affecting the current performance and stats of the club.

Harry Kane is doing what he does best, scoring goals for his club and he's keen on winning a title with the Bavarians. This was the plan when he decided to make an exits from Tottenham Hotspur to join Bayern Munich. Harry Kane have proven his worth to Vincent Kompany and his teammates.

Yes and I don't think they can still close the gap enough to get a chance at winning the title, but maybe Bayern needs to give some players a pause or injuries come into effect like now when Musiala is injured. He will be missing for around eight weeks as he suffered from a severe muscular injury. For Leverkusen, although this sounds bad, it is a bit of good news because that will raise the pressure for Bayern and they would never want to risk to lose in the Champions League as the final will be in their home stadium. There is nothing more they can hope and fight for than playing a final in their own stadium.

The position for Dortmund is complicated and they have to play against Bayern with their strongest team as they need to qualify for the Champions League. There won't be much rotation and I think Kovac will go all in with his players in all the games against Barcelona and Bayern. Maybe Dortmund can steal a point from Bayern and Leverkusen gets closer.

Arsenal is in for a real game of Champions League here, I think i have to go with the bookies here, Madrid is the better team here and are expected to win this game, I still do not understand were this game will be won by Arsenal by Arsenal, Arsenal have been a good team in the Premier League two seasons ago, but this season they have not be lucky with injuries, Gabriel out from the midfield is a grate miss from them, The Midfield would be a grate game of play in the fixture,
Real Madrid are well placed in all position to win this game, from the Defense, Midfield, and attack , Marid have a stronger firepower in attack, Arsenal have no Striker, I will be anticipating what Arteta has to come up with here, I do not expect Arteta to sit back and take the pressure, but it will be an open game. It should be an all attacking game.

You have to go with the bookies and then you say you go with Real Madrid, but the bookies see Arsenal as the favorite.

Now the 4th place on the EPL table is getting more heated and competitive as Newcastle united have joined in the battle for the spot after winning Leicester city 0-3, with Chelsea and Manchester city all fighting for that spot it makes it more challenging to say for sure which team will eventually take the spot.

Newcastle united after winning Liverpool in the Caraboa Cup finals have really got their confidence boosted with their performance increasingly making waves after a dull mod season stat.

I think Nottingham forest and Arsenal positions too can be under threat of they don't maintain a winning streaks in their next games. I thoughts though

Exactly as I said before that Newcastle will join the race and they still have one match to play which means there is a potential for an additional 3 points to replace Chelsea. I agree Nottingham Forest is not in a safe position yet but for Arsenal I believe they are safe at least for a ticket to the Champions League. The teams we need to watch are Chelsea and Newcastle how they compete to get a place there and also we can check their match schedule is there a tough opponent or just mediocre opponent.

In week 32 all top teams will play at home and only Newcastle will face a strong team like Tottenham but yeah Newcastle is still reliable especially after the winning streak which boosts the players' confidence, let's just see if any team will lose their place at the top.

The race for 4th place in the EPL is really intense. Newcastle has been doing great.

I am with you on Nottingham Forest and Arsenal. Forest isn’t out of the woods yet, and Arsenal should be fine for a Champions League spot, but the real battle is between Chelsea and Newcastle, because manchester City failed.  Newcastle has got a tough game ahead of them, but with the way they’re playing right now, they’ve got a real chance. Let’s see who cracks first in these final weeks.

Although they don't have the world's top players like they used to, the other clubs in the French Ligue 1 are much worse. Their players are mostly not comparable to PSG's players, although there may be some who are better, but most are not. PSG's front line, although they don't have Mbappe or Messi anymore, they still have Dembele and also Kvaratskhelia.
Kylian Mbappe, Leo Messi and Neymar Jr were all big names for the players, we clearly understand the pressing forces that come with the presence of these players. Paris Saint-Germain are missing their big players but the huge absence of these players doesn't mean they're reluctant in performance, they're recording streak winnings in league games. However I would prefer the current team of Paris Saint-Germain because they've been important and competitive in games. They're so smooth when it comes to portraying excellent performance.

Even though PSG doesn’t have the big name players they used to, the other teams in Ligue 1 are even worse. Most of the players on other teams just aren’t on the same level as PSG’s guys. Sure, there are a few who might be better, but most aren’t. PSG’s front line may not have Mbappe or Messi anymore, but they still have Dembele and Kvaratskhelia.

Mbappe, Messi and Neymar were huge names, and we all know how much attention they brought. But even though PSG is missing those big players, it doesn’t mean they’re playing bad. They’re still winning games in the league. Honestly, I actually like the current PSG team better because they’ve been playing well and staying competitive. They just look smooth when they play.

Real Betis have suddenly become trouble for both Real Madrid and Barcelona. I can remember the pre match comments of Anthony saying Real Betis defeated Real Madrid so they can do the same with Barcelona and indeed they were able to hold Barcelona to a draw. Luck or no luck Real Betis were impressive in the game. Respect to them.
Indeed, they really put up a good performance against most of the teams they faced this season, especially Real Madrid and Barcelona. I've noticed, though, that some of their games are always ending with a red card Grin, either for them or their opponent, and sometimes both. Not bad either; at least, beating Real Madrid and drawing with Barca twice in La Liga this season doesn't look so bad. Maybe a little more effort, even though I don't really think it's Anthony's effect Cheesy... the team has just been better these days. Hopefully, they don't end up like Girona next season.

Real Betis have really been causing problems for both Real Madrid and Barcelona lately. I remember Anthony saying before their match that Betis had already beaten Real Madrid, so they could do the same to Barcelona. And sure enough, they managed to hold Barcelona to a draw. Whether it was luck or not, Real Betis were impressive in that game. Big repect to them.

They’ve been putting in some solid performances this season, especially against the big teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona. One thing I’ve noticed though is that a lot of their matches seem to end with a red card—whether for them or the other team, sometimes both! But honestly, not bad at all; beating Real Madrid and drawing with Barcelona twice in La liga this season isn’t too bad. Maybe with a little more effort, they could be even better. Though, I don’t really think it’s all because of Anthony... the team’s just been on point lately. Let’s just hope they don’t end up like Girona next season.

I hope that Amorim would realize if Garnacho is not good enough in staying much longer in the club. He never improved, and keep repeat the same mistake over and over. He also one of most selfish player in the club.

Amorim has to get rid him of the club, and sign a new fucking winger. I think it's gonna work. hehe

I'd call Amorim one of dumbest coach in the history if he still gives space for Garnacho to stay.  Enough is enough.
Garnacho is actually one of the better young players but he still has problems with ego and explosive emotions because his youth is still very large which makes his good performance always covered because it is the effect of the level of ego and emotionality that is still not controlled.

But this is not new because we have also seen several other players like this at Manchester United including for Rashford and even Bruno in the previous few seasons although for Bruno he is now better.

If only Amorim can fix this problem for Garnacho then he can still be retained even the core line-up option is very open and inevitably Amorim must do that because for me for now the thing that Amorim must overhaul first is the defense and attack line for pure strikers who are still lacking, the rest can be improved over time but for the defense and finisher it is something they must prioritize.

Garnacho is actually one of the better young players but he still has issues with ego and his emotions, which makes sense because he’s still really young. A lot of the time his good performances get overshadowed by that, just because his emotions and ego get in the way.

But honestly this isn’t something new at United. We’ve seen it before with players like Rashford and even Bruno in the past few seasons. Bruno especially used to be like that but now he’s improved a lot.

If Amorim can help Garnacho deal with that side of his game, then keeping him and even making him a regular starter would make a lot of sense. But for me, the first thing Amorim needs to fix is the defense and get a proper striker in. Those two areas are still weak and should be the priority. The rest like player development and mentality can be worked on over time.

Bayer Leverkusen was lucky this week and managed to win the match with a goal they scored in extra time. There is still a six point gap between them and Bayern Munich. I don’t think this gap will close, but Bayern Munich still has to be careful. As for Harry Kane, this is one of the things Bayern Munich is luckiest about. Because Kane is one of the best strikers currently playing active football. Bayern Munich hasn’t had a striker problem for years, and before that they played great matches with Lewandowski for years. They will probably win the Bundesliga this year, and Kane, who will win his first championship, will have a great effort in this.

I think we should start congratulating them from now, they have really done well to have come this far and desires the difficulties along the way, they still manage to stay at the top of the standings. Bayern Leverkusen is really a top rival they should not allow to replace them on the top table because if they do, I’ll be sorry for them because I know they won’t get the opportunity to overtake them easily on the league standings once again.

Harry Kane have also done his part well to have taken the early goal lead and given his closest rival some gap in goals that he can’t easily overtake him for the golden booth by end of the season. This is a very important season for Harry Kane because he’s heading to win his first title in his career and would be a magical one to win it together with the golden boot.

Leverkusen got lucky with that extra time goal, and sure, Bayern still sits comfortably six points ahead

Kane scores his goals, gets his titles, but he wants more than the Bundesliga in Germany... This is not what he wanted when he decided to go to Bayern.

The best approach for arsenal is to wait for Madrid and get them on the counter this game will be decided on the mid field so if arsenal can try and win the game on the midfield it will be of help to them because if players like Thomas paty can be effective in the middle then the chances of arsenal winning this game will be high

No point in arguing without waiting, hum.

The 3.05 odds on Madrid do feel a bit off. Arsenal’s been solid in the league, but let’s be honest—they haven’t looked that convincing lately. Giving them 2.38 like they’re clear favorites feels more hype than logic. Madrid might’ve slipped against Valencia, but that doesn't erase who they are when it comes to big nights.

Bookies might be factoring in Arsenal’s home form or league position, but Madrid in Europe is a different thing. They have the experience, the mentality, and that killer instinct Arsenal is still trying to build for years now. If anything, odds could be inviting Real Madrid fans.

But the very strict policy as you say doesn't apply all the time, does it? Modric is still playing there and they had other players above their 30s thatgot their contracts extended in the past. In my opinion, if a transfer like this would be made by Real Madrid, they would only give short term contracts and have some backup idea in their minds because they don't want to run into problems when they have a situation like Carvajal and Alaba being injured during the most important time of the season.

However, I doubt Van Dijk would be ok with signing a short term contract with any club now. He probably wants a two year contract at least, if not a three year contract and neither Liverpool nor any other top club would be willing to give him that contract and I understand that.

For Van Dijk being a free agent is the best that could happen to him. Any fees for signing a new contract go straight to him as Liverpool wouldn't have to be paid a penny.
Yep, Real Madrid currently lack of a player with warrior attribute, Rudiger isn't even reach that, you need to have someone who don't mind to fight against other player. Remember the last World Cup, after Leandro Paredes kicks ball to the Netherlands bench, Van Dijk come in and bodied Paredes.

Van Dijk can still play in the top 5 league maybe up to 37-38 years old.

Although Modric is already 39 years old, but he's playing with brain and touch, while playing as defender is harder because they really use their physique.

Are you sure that Real Madrid is lacking a player with warrior attribute? Grin I know something about warriors, check out my forum name shogun47. Tongue

Rudiger is crazy and he gets abusive during some games. It doesn't mean he is a warrior in the perfect sportsman sense, but he has been playing well in many games as well. To say he doesn't reach that at all is wrong I think, because he is one of the players who motivate their teammates and never give up. He also proves that with some late in the game goals he scored.

As a defender you can play with brain and position a lot. Speed is important though, but I don't know whether Van Dijk is the fastest.

Ok I went to the UEFA website and looked for the data. Van Dijk is quite fast as per the data provided by the UEFA. But the other stats are quite equal and I doubt this one metric decides whether Real Madrid wants him or not. Offense qualities can't be the problem as both have it.

Re: Everything you wanted to know about Bitcoin Strategic Reserve
by
shogun47
on 06/04/2025, 09:19:26 UTC
things to think about

if trump is downsizing federal control and things like disbanding the FBI HQ from washington and turning it into state/regional level offices of crime investigations. then future asset forfeitures wont then be hoarded by washington(national gov) to then be put into the national bitcoin reserve. but instead each states regional offices will forfeit proceeds of crime and put it into their own state level bitcoin reserves

so after this seasons allocation of existing forfeited bitcoin is moved into trumps national bitcoin reserve the only new accumulations would have to be from purchases via other means(not treasury tax funded - until treasury has a surplus vs public service expenditure(surplus to budget))

so i see this then being situations of selling national real estate (empty federal offices) to accumulate further bitcoin into the national bitcoin reserve as the next "big thing" of adding more coin to the bitcoin reserve

I had to realize your post is forcing me to go through a learning curve. Cheesy

There is some superficial contradiction when Trump's intention is to downsize federal control when actually he likes to have control to be centralized as much as possible in his own hands. But I get that an FBI HQ might give him too much resistance against a restructuring in support of his own interests.

Now if future asset forfeitures are not a national gov issue anymore, but will be hoarded on the state level, does hoarding go beyond just hoarding or could decisions about selling them be made at the state level, too? I understand that budgeting is state level responsibility, but currency control is a federal issue. Could Trump still get laws in place that hoarding is a state level responsibility, but any decisions being made concerning those hoarded assets (bitcoin or other crypto) have to be made on the federal level? In other words Trump would still control the framework even if states manage their own reserves, and Trump could structure the system so all policies flows through a central federal crypto strategy, or make states "opt in" to a federal crypto network, which then works like a bitcoin-based version of the Fed.

If that is not the case, could the accumulation for the national strategic reserve be undermined by sell-offs on the state level?

This downsizing process of federal control and disbanding of the FBI HQ seems to me like Trump is using decentralization as a trojan horse because that would make it easier for him to install people who support his interest on a state by state level.? So in theory this could be more of a reframing of control as freedom (decentralization for the sake of stronger centralization), which is definitely very Trump-like.

Van Dijk's talk over his new contract on Liverpool gets some troubles. It makes me curious what's happened between him and his team behind the scene. Even the latest news is telling us how his agent is offering him once again to the Real Madrid.

It seems the talk about his contract extension is not going well. however, will Real Madrid welcome to the old player like him? He's good, but old enough. I hope his problem gets solved asap.

It will be a bad news if they let him leave as free agent.

He is 33 years old, what Real, is this a joke? According to leaks, even the extension of Rudeger (who is 32) could happen as a big exception in view of his great merits to the club. Real Madrid have a very strict policy and Van Dijk doesn't have a single chance, even as a free agent.
The fact that players are running away from Liverpool (and for free) is very funny. Doesn't the club's management see a problem in this?

But the very strict policy as you say doesn't apply all the time, does it? Modric is still playing there and they had other players above their 30s thatgot their contracts extended in the past. Giving madrid 3.05 odds against arsenal is what am not too convinced about because I don't know the criteria used in giving this odds by the bookmakers because even if you say that it's because of recent matches that the two sides has played arsenal has not been convincing in their games so giving arsenal 2.38 against Madrid is not in the best interest of arsenal because arsenal will be going into this game next week with a false confidence that will likely hunt them, but for we as gambler's it's an opportunity for us to make some money from this game because I will definitely bet on this game because madrid is going to win this game

This is mainly because of their home advantage I assume. I don't know what other reasons the bookmakers could take into consideration here, but this is the most plausible that comes to my mind and not to forget that Arsenal is still 2nd in the Premier League, the best league in the world and so far they lost only one game in the Premier League at home.

But you can see how quickly a result was added to Real Madrid's bad performances against Valencia. Nobody can now argue that it was La Liga and Real Madrid has a more important focus. That is not true and you could ask Ancelotti whether he is ok with giving the La Liga title to Barcelona because they lose against teams like Valencia in the Bernabeu.

The rivalry in La Liga doesn't allow that Barcelona wins the title easily. The Madrid fans will freak out about it.

3.05 seemed a bit high to me, but the performance against Valencia gave some more insight into the shape that Real Madrid is in.

I'm so impressed with this Borussia Dortmund team right now, with this two wins from their last two league games has reduced the deficit, right now they are within 5 points of the team that's occupying the 4th position. If they maintain this momentum and try to at least not lose against Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen then win the remaining 4 games, they stand a chance of making the top 4 spot.
Borussia Dortmund have been performing poorly this season, but the two wins they had in their past 2 matches have given them a chance to be in the race for the top four finish in the Bundesliga this season. Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will be a big obstacle for Borussia Dortmund to finish in the 4th position because Bayern Munich will want to beat Borussia Dortmund to maintain their 6-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen, and Bayer Leverkusen will also want to beat Borussia Dortmund to keep a close gap with Bayern Munich, which will possibly stop Borussia Dortmund from finishing in the 4th position if they lose to both Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

They preserve their very last chance to qualify for the Champions League now. A loss against Freiburg and that dream would have been over once and for all, but now they can still hope as Freiburg in 7th position was the team they took the points from, Frankfurt lost all three points and Mainz got a draw. These results all play into the hands of Borussia Dortmund and their dream to still make it possible to qualify via the Bundesliga.

Nottingham Forest is living a true dream, normally they would be doing the math to avoid relegation, but it is unbelievable that they are doing the math to go to the European Champions League, we are not talking about the Europa League, but the European Champions League, there are only 4 places and they are occupying one of those 4 places.

https://www.premierleague.com/tables

They have overcome great teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle and are in third place, there are only a few games left for the Premier League to end and they can achieve something big, which would be going to the European Champions League, I doubt very much that this was in the club's management's plans before this season started.

-snip
Nottingham Forest is not relenting to strive higher in their present position. They are consistent and focus in their games. Though they have good standing form with good performance and many of the players of Manchester United, Manchester City have injuries but as for Chelsea they are not consistent with their games. Nottingham Forest is really keeping on their good dream. They beat Manchester United and I was thinking that Manchester United would won the game but it is not always like the way we predict in football game.

For Nottingham Forest to take the 3rd position in the Premier League  Table to this far, they have a good dream to achieve and they are working hard to achieve the dream.

Nobody is talking about Nottingham Forest striving any higher from me, but it doesn't make anyway of course as they are in a third position that doesn't really help them regarding going forward. The goal for them will be to defend that third rank. But they still have some important goals and regardless of who their opponents are in the games, they will wan to win.

The match against Aston Villa was a sad defeat for them as they had a bad beginning into the game, but then woke up and played a hell of a game given that it was away from home. They had to become the active team and get the turnaround. Usually they prefer to score a goal and defend, but this time they had to come back from behind and almost made it.
