Re: Automated speedtest script for GPU OC settings?
by

idea is solid but i don't konw how it's gonna work out. a bad OC can crash the computer. if the computer crashes, your "auto OC" script wouldn't function anymore. You'd still need to physically reboot the computer with a human's touch.

and I agree that if everything can be done easier, then we should go for easy. there is absolutely no reason to try to do things the hard way except trying to be elitest.

anyone getting really inconsistent speed? im running 4770k which should be around 270h/s according to claymore. however, i can only hit it very rarely. most of it time, it hovers around 160-200 h/s which is significantly lower than 270...

I have 2 Rigs and im using this command: -xpool XXXXX -xwal XXXXXX -xpsw XXXXX -pow7 1 -dmem 1 -h 896

- x6 MSI 4G RX570 -> 2.4 mhs (cap to exactly 400hs each)
- x5 NITRO 4G RX570 -> 3.6 mhs (720~ each)

Both rigs running at 950core/2000mem and BIOS modified timmings (by polaris app).

I think its a bit weird same command and very different results with this new claymore, if i switch to xmrig or xmr-amd-stak everything is fine!

The only way to make the MSI rig faster is by adding -dmem 0 and -h 632 and that gives only about 3.7mhs(vs 4.2 on other miners app) which still very low considering it has one more gpu than the other rig ...

why are you running your core and mem so low?

my MSI Gaming X 570 4GB is getting 890h/s

1150 core, 2010 mem. 925mv for both.

the H value is like 890 or whatever i just copied someone from a previous comment had had success.

For those interested :

@NLpool we run multiple Blake2S coins now. The pool is very stable and running nice.

You can dual mine this coins with us:

- XVG Verge
- Shield
- Tajcoin
- Nevacoin
- Infocoin

For Keccak you can mine:

- Maxoin ( First blocks found )
- Creativecoin
- Smartcash

And if you want optimal use of your RIG, then add a CPUminer and mine YenTen for extra coins! Yenten has also been added to our pool today.

If any questions join our Telegram channel @ t.me/nlpool or check our website nlpool.nl

Happy mining!

Hi!

Every hour, I get the following message : devfee stop mining and disconnect

I know it's because it starts mining for the dev but it makes my miner crashes and I have to reboot.

Some people said it might be my ISP or DNS blocking the dev pool.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

you can always use the -nofee option but it reduces your own earning too.

Hey all, i have 4 x Rx570 Armor, how many Verge coins you mine one day with one GPU? Smiley

you have to set -dcri 35 and you will get 4/5000 Mh depend on the overclock. this will bring you south of 18 verge/ day, at the current difficult

FWIW I’ve got 2 x RX570 Armour -dcri 10 for 1000Mh getting 4 verge/day without affecting ETH (58MH)
It did bump the power by 10% (300W at wall to 330W)

you can do a lot higher.

on my msi gaming x 570s, I can bump up the DCR to 50 without effecting the ether hashrate (29/card). 3 cards running at 530w off the wall. I tried DCR 40 and the power draw is about the same.

on my gigabytes gaming 570s, I can only bump it up to DCR 45. each card runs about 28/card. 3 cards drawing 600w off the wall. however, this one uses a core 2 duo setup with 4x 1GB sticks and a bronze PSU, so I suspect much of the power is wasted. this set up runs 520w solo mining.

1450mhs xvg for msi @ 50dcr. 1250mhs xvg for gig @ 45 dcr.

Re: if you are supposed to pay tax on mining profit how about expenses?
by
sicklyslick
on 20/02/2018, 23:18:42 UTC
irs is eager to collect tax on mining profit which is understandable and fair as stock traders to pay a hefty sum. But how about loss and business expenses?
You buy a very expense gpu at 800$ and then you havent managed to cover your purchase cost at the end of year then you got taxed, can you use it as an business expense?

I am thinking to go sole proprietar on this one.

incorporate yourself. then you will be taxed on profit (revenue minus expenses)

now you can expense your mining equipment, power, rent for storage of your equipment, etc. might want to consult an accountant to see what you are allowed and not allowed to expense.

12 days and 50+ pages latter: no luck yet finding any decent blake2s pool.
Unimining was good only day one after v11 release. Antmine also, maybe 2 days.
All others not even worth mentioning.

Pools to avoid:

zpool.ca
unimining.net
antminepool.com
yiimp.eu
xvg.ehu.bg
pool.gigarho.com
nlpool.nl
oxo.rs
coinfoundry.org
zergpool.com

Stop wasting your power and GPUs. Stop feeding amateurs and thieves.
Unfortunately "-mode 1"  is only smart option for now.

I'm with antminepool and i lose ~20% of my supposed-to-be earnings.

I guess that's the least coins being robbed among other pools?

You have to be wise here to choose which one is the lesser evil if you want to continue dual-mining XVG.

NL is the least stolen from my testing. i've tried unimining, antmine and nl.

unimining = stable but big scam. takes like 30-50% from my experience
antmine = stable but takes more than NL. 15%-25% from my experience
NL takes the least but unstable. 10% from my experience

currently I'm doing antmine. Im getting around 5-7 xvg per 2 hours (72 xvg per day). I should be getting 86 (according to whattomine). 15% loss is acceptable to me as long I get 100% uptime. obviously, ideally only 1-2% loss (pool fee) and 100% uptime. But so far I haven't found a pool that can provide that.

all these pools are trash the http://mine.nlpool.nl , been up and down all day , crashing my damn rigs with thier bull shit

umining are straight up thieves , somone like nanopool needs to start a legit pool

they're all thieves  Grin Grin Grin

ive been switching NL vs ant all day. if NL is up, ill do NL, otherwise ant.

I feel like NL steals the least, then ant, then uni steals the most. this is from a short 24 hour test so by all means not 100% accurate.

any reason not to use a smart plug?

https://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/cat-5516_HS100.html

you can turn the PSU off and on with your phone. set your BIOS to turn on the system as soon AC power is detected.
