I'm only mining at 83Kh/s so is there a stratum that I should use with a lower difficulty? and if so.. will it make any difference?

So you're ditching one of the best pool's out there right now because you're spreading crap about fastpool owners ddosing other pools...  If that's the case then good luck mining for the pool that's going to get nailed by fast pool... seeing as how you're in the know   wypierdalaj

i'm getting about signalpirate 126Kh/s and  3,443 a day...  pretty sucky lol. But its just on my laptop

antivirus is blocking the miner. In this case its cgminer. Bfgminer isn't blocked.  Mcafee webgateway essentially our firewall is whats blocking the ports. Even when browsing to a website we actually proxy thru the gateway on port 80. When I download a file, I don't actually download it from the website. I download it from mcafee web gateway.

If I download something from a https website then I download it directly from the site.

Any chance for port 443?

if I try the standard stratum 3333 I get a message that pool is hiding blocks from me.

if I try port 80, it fails to even connect to the pool

btw I'm using bfgminer because my work's antivirus automatically deletes cgminer.  the Bit minter java app gives me 60Mhps so imagine all the dogecoins I could get with that horsepower that this laptop has.. but so far no luck in connecting

any suggestions?

I'm not able to post in the fast-pool support thread so I'd post something here: I'm mining from work and when I use the standard 3333 port the blocks are hidden from me. And I end up not mining anything. The pool recently added port 80 support. Anyone have any idea why every single time I try to setup the pool in pool management it fails? It doesn't make any sense. port 80 shouldn't be blocked by my work...
