Importantly, I have 12 GPUs in every node, with an i3-7100 cpu. The nodes with gtx1070ti keep the CPU at 100% utilisation (on both 1.45 and 1.46/1.47) and the GPUs cannot handle anything else (even nvidia-smi fails, takes 5 minutes to show 1 line).

Try --watchdog 0 --pec 0 options to temper gminer's thirst for NVML calls. And, I guess, you have old nvidia drivers like 3xx.something. Try 4xx branch, it's kinda optimized for multi-gpu environment--less LA, more responsiveness.

p.s. @Zminer777, it would be nice to add smth like --no-nvml option, it'll help a lot.
As I said above, I'm using 415.29 drivers, cuda10.0. I'm also already using --pec 0 and --watchdog 0. None of these are an issue though, since the problem is only on gtx1070ti and not on gtx1070. I've tried even newer drivers (no luck).

p.s. this problem of 100% cpu on gtx1070ti (but not on gtx1070) exists for all other algos with Gminer, but not with other mining software, suggesting the problem is Gminer, not drivers or hardware.

I have same issues with multiple rigs with 13mining cards. All running ubuntu linux GMiner takes 100% CPU usage with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7. It just kills it. I can mine GMiner with under 10GPUs but anything over that will cause rejected shares and 100% CPU usage.  I am getting bit better results with 1.41. It still hits 100% CPU time but will mine with less rejected.

This is 19GPU with Core i5 7500.

To get latest updates, Run:
Code:
bash ~/NVOC/mining/nvOC upgrade

You can always remind us if you noticed a miner is updated so we update it faster in nvOC miners repo

T-Rex miner has some updates.

1300 day payback period is a joke, your card will be worth $200 and obsolete for mining.  This would make your card the same age as a 980 ti, selling for $180 on ebay.  So your 1,300 day return is $180.  Unless their is a rally, which is more then likely to happen.

I agree 1300 day payback period is a joke and that's if your lucky enough to have a 10 cent watt rate for residential, 100 percent uptime and I didn't even include the power it takes to run the cpu, motherboard, system and cooling. So the real pay back period is probably much longer than 5 years.  But I guess that's what mining is at its current phase.   Its over saturated with plenty of dumb miner money and It's a race to the bottom.

It's so easy to mine and everyone knows how to do it and people would pay to do it for entertainment.  If you want to be successful do something that  nobody else knows how to do or wants to do.  I would not rely on gpu mining to replace my day job (sorry Vosk you got roasted buddy, good thing you get some income from youtube)

I accepted these fact and only mine as a hobby now. Quite an expensive one

You are so true. It's absolutely not worth it to build rigs and spend cash to new PSU/MOBO/RAM RTX card but if you can source these parts used from quitting miners (Vosk) who spent excess amounts of buying mint new gear while crypto hit the fan, you might get something out of it. We have found used 1,2kw PSU for free and AsRock 13GPU mining MOBO (20$) for practically free. Stick it with 4GB RAM and 40$ Celeron and USB drive for linux mining OS you will have decent 13GPU mining rig perfect for 24/7 mining. I have found miners dumping P106-100 6GB cards for as low as 50$ because they cannot be used for gaming. You can wire off 13card P106-100 mining rig which is effective GTX 1060 rig with powerlimit 80W per card it will be roughly 1kw.... we have done tens of them so it works. It mines perfectly over the costs example RVN. Total cost of our 13card 1kw rigs is somewhat 1000$

At this market it's 0 point to invest sticker price stuff.
But in the end those who pay sticker price always lose.

Hi mate,

Nice to see you back to coding for miners again.

Will test and report as soon as I can.

As always you can count on me for any helps if needed.

Good to know, let me know what you think.

Very big fan of original nvOC and heavy user of it running from USB-adapter and 16GB microsSD cards for 20 months very nice to find you back and developing minerOS.

If you don't change pools 1 and 2, you will be giving money to Bitmain from time to time...

I know this and kinda left it there in the screenshot to be teaser, it rarely drops to backup pool as the screenshot shows I have mined successfully without dropping to giving charity to Bitmain. For month now. It is intentional laziness I'm rebel lol or stupid.

I bought one S15 from this batch to test it out,
not sure if I will have a place for it in long term.  Cheesy

Maybe my friend who lives in a student apartment can help me out,
if it is not too loud in the low power mode.

But what I've seen in videos so far,
it seems that the psu can be quite loud.

It is louder than anything you have had  Grin the psu fans have high pitch noise. They are crazy rpm small fans. The big fans really move some air but they are loud. So loud cant live with it or neighbour will complain.

This is Antminer T15

It's good -14 here in Finland today. I was sure the T15 wont boot at -10 but it's just very very slow at booting up. This unit takes 30 minutes to load. While watching the kernel log it goes trough some long checks to overclock the ASIC boards and check everything. Ambient temperature is roughly -7c I don't know if it doesn't like cold start.
