It is great that depelopment of GRAVEX is going well. But what the place of GIO in this process? And how value of GIO has related to GRAVEX. I think that it was expalined some pages ago. But I don't find the explanation.

Hi!
We developing ecosystem with a couple of services inside. One of them is an exchange as well. And now - as for example - to get 50% market's fee discount you need to keep on the exchange's wallet 5m gio deposit.
GIO at all - is the payment system within ecosystem. And in some cases our users will need (in future) to use/own some gio. So, GIO - is the fuel of the system. For example - to use secured mail (it's working now, but released in the desktop wallet and will be soon released in gravio.app) you need a gio to send encrypted totally secured mail messages to your counterpart. That is just an example. In future many services will use gio as system service commission/fee. Also we planning to implement POS to provide more accesible and robust way to earn gio (in addition to the fact that you can mine or buy a gio on GRAVIEX).
GRAVIO.APP will be tightly coupled with GRAVIEX. We plan to implement for the ordinal user a simple way to buy/sell cryptos in one click just from the UI of our multiwallet. Also we planning to make fullfunctioning GRAVIEX mobile client as a module in GRAVIO.APP - for the more advanced user and for the traders.
So, we moving in a one time in the several directions.

ANNOUNCING SWIPPSWAP
HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody.
As you know, we have tried to apply for a listing on a few exchanges. While some of them might actually list us (after us badgering them enough), others ask for insanely absurd amounts of payments in order to process and list a new currency. While developing an exchange was not part of our original plan, it is painfully obvious that the cryptocurrency world needs a proper free exchange where new currencies can flourish and get listed. The current situation with a few exchanges with business models solely driven by greed monopolizes the market and hampers innovation and directly goes against the free and open spirit that the original Bitcoin was developed under.
As a community and for the benefit of all cryptocurrencies out there, we need to, at one point or another, say that enough is enough!
Therefore we plan to, during the first quarter of 2018, release SwippSwap! A centralized exchange for the benefit of the whole cryptocurrency community where all new currencies can get listed for free. The exchange will be developed by a Swedish business and hosted in their private data center. To make the exchange easy to use, the interface and design is inspired by Cryptopia - something we beliveve will allow everybody to easily migrate to SwippSwap.
So to summarize the exchange;
Processed trades will cost 0.15%, putting us mostly below the rest of the market.
Listing a cryptocurrency in all current base markets will be completely free - something that will never change.
Developers will be able to buy extra services for their cryptocurrencies (base market listing, mining pool to name a few). These extra services will require Swipp for purchase.
The initially planned base markets for the exchange are SWIPP, BTC, ETH, DASH, BCH and LTC.
In the long term, we believe the exchange will grow the Swipp currency and allow us to generate some funding for the project.
More details about the exchange will follow on the website. We will also post a seperate announcement here on bitcointalk about the exchange once we have more of the details in place.

After some delays, we really hope to get it released this weekend. The block break will be pushed forward slightly, as we didn't meet the deadline we set for ourselves. Part of the problem is that we have started planning many of the upcoming features on the roadmap. We have also put a lot of time into better debugging and testing of the core. This all took more time than expected.
After this release we can finally get to work merging all those fun features we have started on for Swipp. We hope to be able to spend much of the christmas holidays coding
Source code will be released first and the Windows wallet will follow, just like last time.

Hi erverybody. New wallet release is approaching. We will be setting a break to the next version at block 125 000. Watch this thread closely in the next few days. Masternode payments will be significantly higher with this release. As before, anybody that has not updated once we reach 125 000, will be on a obsolete chain.
I also want to give everybody a heads up concerning planned changes to masternode payment distribution. These change will not be part of this update, but the next one after that:
1. Running several masternodes on the same IP under different ports will no longer be allowed - this does not benefit the network in any way. Masternodes will simply not be accepted onto the network if a similar node with the same IP is already present.
2. If there are many masternodes in a certain geographical area competing for payouts, these will receive less than a masternode which has less competition in it' area. It will also depend on the traffic. As we are planning to host services on the masternodes, we want the masternode network to be fast and responsive, with masternodes preferably being placed where they can benefit the network the most.

Indeed. The staking rewards in Swipp are lower now (they decreased from 5 to 3 Swipp at block 93 000. The next decrease in staking rewards is at block 200 000 - it will then go to 2 Swipp per block.
With those figures, your ROI is 58.4% which isn't all that bad. Currencies with 500%+ or several thousand percent in ROI have no future. Our focus is to build something long-term.
Nevertheless, the situation will improve with the next wallet release, as masternodes will receive PoW blocks also. The ROI will jump to roughly 350-450% after this change. This will make Swipp one of the more profitable masternode coins... However, more masternodes will then likely open, so returns will probably go down slightly as they do. We are preparing the next wallet release, so keep an eye on this thread.

Yobit is cheap and gives good volume. But will only be ok when coins wont need wallet updates anymore
