Re: The thing that will destroy Bitcoin.

IMHO FUD and Fedcoin will destroy Bitcoin... Blockstream/Core supporters are creating such FUD that when Fedcoin (Ethereum) is increasingly introduced to the public with the upcoming Homestead rollout - it will be in tandem with negative stories about Bitcoin being a muddled, confused, dangerous mess.  And that perception is actually reality, since Blockstream/Core supporters seem to be little energizer FUD Bunnies on hyperdrive lately. So this will weaken Bitcoin, strengthen Fedcoin.  Fedcoin WILL surpass Bitcoin.  That part is pretty much certain.  The question is how badly Bitcoin will sustain self inflicted damages, and will they be deadly wounds, or wounds they can recover from.

Re: Bitcoin Halving Party 2016
by
sirdevil
on 22/02/2016, 12:30:50 UTC
I have been sparing some amount of money and I will therefore be celebrating the party through the purchase of as many coins as i can. My aim is to get benefits from the halving party before the bitcoin price shoot to the peak which will be very expensive to acquire even one. I am therefore waiting for the day and eager that I will be able to increase my worth when it comes to the bitcoins. It is an opportunity that we should not leave to just pass as like that, let us all make good use of it. Opportunities come once in a lifetime.

Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase?

Bitcoin is doing much better as a currency, so yeah I'm holding/saving my Bitcoins at least until halving. I predict the price will dramatically increase at halving, and everyone holding right now will be better off. Now is a good time to invest fiat into.

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?

You can start explaining to women about Sexcoin and then gradually introduce Bitcoin. Women's eyes get larger than their head when they hear the word sex lol, either they get excited or offended but the whole point is that you get them to be curious what these coins can do.

Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet?

Well, for the time being, bank. It is far more secure IMO, as there are lots of problems with Bitcoin lately. If you hold an online wallet, all may disappear. If you hold them in your computer, it is not as hard that it is broken losing your bitcoins, etc. It all depends on you, not on a third party.

BTC of course. Seeing the absurd taxes and charges paypal has and the fact that you have to provide a great deal of paperwork to prove who you are and the fact that even if you have transactions without disputes paypal still limits the account without reason again and again inventing new ways to limit the account. Paypal? Not if I can help it!!

Re: [AUTOBUY] Account Farm Manager ONLY 3$ Start Farming today [full control]

This seems interesting, I've been looking to keep an organized log of accounts. Are all the cells in this file unlocked so I can edit if necessary? This is important since I plan on using this manager for other purposes as well.

Thank you.

IMHO sig campaigns offered in this forum and advertising a site is probably the easiest way for someone with a good status in this forum... Faucets payments are too small for anyone actually trying to collect a decent amount. Lost a lot of time in this, unfortunately.

The fact is that while bitcoin price dips aside from good time to execute our buys, we can take a side trip from those other altcoin pump. Good side earnings while waiting for your hold bitcoins to be executed in the proper time.

I believe that forcing someone to use something that they don't really want to use for whatever reason is negative. If they seek more information, they should have a legitimate interest and some women do it already.

Well, I'm holding for a price increase. I know it's risky, considering the hardfork and stuff. But I think the halving will have a positive impact on pice, and that's a risk I'm willing to take currently.

Re: The thing that will destroy Bitcoin.
by
sirdevil
on 11/02/2016, 11:34:34 UTC
The thing that will destroy Bitcoins is simple. It will be the bloated size of the blockchain. Soon the blockchain will be so large, that we will need centralized "housing" to hold it. We will have to trust "Central" to state what is in the blockchain every time we want to use Bitcoin. And, this is the thing we are trying to get away from - centralization.

The blockchain is almost 70 gigabytes large right now. Imagine what it would be like if people around the world traded something like the Forex on it.

Someone better figure out a way to make it a whole lot smaller, and fast. Why fast? Because when fiat collapses, a lot of people will jump into Bitcoin. The blockchain will surge in size. In a short time it will be too large to use.

One solution that I can see would be to keep the current blockchain in total, on several servers around the world, including any person who thinks he has enough hard drive space to store it on, and enough bandwidth to handle all the transactions that hit Bitcoin at once. At the same time, implement a new kind of blockchain that keeps only a record of the first use of a new address, and, say, the last two uses of it. Everything else is deleted. This will be a reasonable solution, I think, until a better kind of blockchain can be developed.

What does anybody think about this?

What ideas do you have for overcoming this problem?

Smiley
i think before that people are going to get tired of waiting days for transaction confirmations..

as it is now, if i want to sell something for bitcoin, i have to wait HOURS before it confirms.. unless you tack on a stupid high fee.. which nobody does..

Well, this is invalid. If people do need fast confirmation, they just put higher fees. Even with higher fees it is very cheaper than traditional methods of moving money around.

Nowadays I get a ~30% increment on my monthly salary by running Twitter campaings and bitcoin-related marketing. That's a nice work I can do from home, so it's been working greatly for me.

Re: How many people REALLY use bitcoin
by
sirdevil
on 11/02/2016, 11:32:16 UTC
not many in my country who accept bitcoin. so I just exchange it with fiat every week and for online shopping only be used to buy pulse

That is cool too. Bitcoin also needs to be used regularly and not just stuck everything in ages. Use some and save some for the price increase. That is what I always think so that it will circulate.

I use bitcoin only for the necessities of life and not spend it just to play gambling. because I have a special capital to play gambling that I got from the giveaway or free bitcoin of gambling site.

I bought a Spotify acount and also some private tracker torrents invites recently. I wouldn't be able to do it using fiat money at all!

Re: The year is 2148... [The Poll]

3 - Do nothing, hoping the things will balance on their own. That could mean (some) mining farms going bankrupt, drastically reducing hashing power (security) + centralisation risk. Or maybe the largest BTC-related businesses will take the mining operation on themselves (mining at loss, but securing their long-term interests).

When I voted i was sure this would be the most voted option.

That is the spirit of bitcoin, and I'm glad to see most people support this idea since now!

I love this community!

That's interesting. I wish them a lot of clients, because they're selling something nice, and accepting Bitcoin. Bitcoin can the conquer the kindergardens  Grin !

I really hope the new generations start learning about money with bitcoin already on the horizon. I think this will make a huge impact on bitcoin acceptance through time.
