I had a Terraminer that they were hosting for me that has not sent anything since the end of December just like everyone that had their fixed hashrate hosting plans.

However, does anyone know how the law works with their bankruptcy because I actually owned the miner? Do they have to send it to me?

I don't really think it's worth too much, but it's better than the nothing I would get otherwise. Common sense tells me that I would be owed my property, but I am not a lawyer.

I actually failed - I think either my PYUSB drivers were messed up, or maybe the power source I used (I used barrel, and not the molex like most people), but someone was interested in it despite my failure, so this is now sold.

I do totally think that the FPGA itself does work though.

I have an x6500 miner that served me well until around a year ago (probably long after it was profitable to mine with it), that I am now looking to sell. I have not used it in the last year, so don't know if it works, but I imagine it does. I am not sure if they are still useful for mining (altcoins), but I know the FPGA's themselves are worth something! I'm not sure if it is very much, but I seriously doubt that I am going to use it again.

I just got an email which says someone tried to change my NMC wallet. I have logged in and changed my BTC Guild password.

I believe that if you have terrahosting, they have stopped mining with Eligius is all. I believe they are still mining, somewhere. I think they have changed to once weekly payouts.

Of course, clear communication would have always helped. Plus a little visibility into what is actually going on.

I had this too - it crashed my core client because MSE automatically quarantined the blockchain file.

I saw people suggesting not scanning .sst files, or not scanning your blockchain dir in the github comments, but those don't really seem like acceptable solutions to overcautious me. I mean, I do have my (somewhat meager amount of) bitcoins accessible to the core client.

I love the idea of helping bitcoin out by running a full node, but don't really want to put this PC or my bitcoins at risk, and exempting locations and files in AV seems to be doing that to me. On the other hand, not exempting them will just allow annoying kids to crash my node over and over by putting these signatures into the blockchain at will.

Am I looking at something wrong? Should I just move my full node somewhere else to a PC I don't care about so I can make these exemptions, and keep my wallet with some other software on a more protected computer?

Sorry for seeming somewhat uptight about this, but my greatest fear as a bitcoin owner is viruses somehow taking my unlocked wallet so anytime I see anything with viruses and bitcoin it sort of psyches me out.

I spoke to them on the phone today, and they took care of me. They asked that I keep the terms of our agreement confidential, but they owned up to the mistake, and I am once again happy.

To follow up, I sent them an email Wednesday afternoon, right before I posted this. The official cointerra account here (bitcointalk) reached out to me Thursday, and I gave them all the information they asked for, as well as the message numbers of the emails I sent them. However, as of right now, more than four days later, I have not heard any official word back from them. Albeit - I am basically asking for a refund of a miner I got for free (since I was a December order), so they might be discussing what to do about that with the higher ups, I don't know.

And I want to say, I don't think Cointerra are bad people, or are out to get anyone, I just think they have had some issues, both in miner implementation (completely excusable, considering they were on the cutting edge IMO) and in customer service/shipping/organization (much less excusable). I mention in my email I would buy from them again in the future. I would just rather have cash in late April for my March miner than a 1.5-1.6 TH miner that pulls 2kish watts at this time.

I will still let everyone know how this all resolves.

They have not shipped my March order yet. This is incredibly frustrating for me when you take into account everything I went through with my December Order. I am sending them an email, and will let everyone know.

It is actually hosted by cloudhashing. You will get emails when they get ready to ship telling you what you need to do.
