Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU

memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report

    junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options

are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these

    drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -

    fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all

the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

thank you for your your response.
i have still used version 3.1.0.1.
now i have installed this new "altitude" version which seems to be the newest.
i will see if it works after downloading the whole bootstrap again.
(it would be nice to have an official link for the latest bootstrap to download it quicker!)

yea, i fixed it myself.
what i assumed in the edit of my post was really the case.
because i didn't do a clean install (with deinstalling the older version first) i was still on the old chain.
after deinstalling everything i did a clean install and synced the whole chain again and after that i closed it and replaced the wallet.dat with my saved one.

maybe there should be a hint or something that it has to be a clean installation and not just an update over the older version.

i updated the wallet but the connection alters from 0 connections to only 1 connection.
i have already checked firewall ans anti virus program.
how can it download the new blockchain if there is only 1 connection for about 20-30 seconds and then switches back to 0 connections all the time?
is there somewhere a list of peers which could be added into the peers file or something?

edit:
or is it possible that i'm still on the old blockchain with the new wallet?
it shows all the recent transactions from the old wallet in the middle window.
if this was the case, is there something like a bootstrap to download?

just for the info, i didn't deinstall the older wallet.
i just executed the new install file for the new version and run it.
should i have made a clean install including deleting the old wallet before?

Wallet v3.1 is out...upgrade by block 580,000 to prevent being locked out of the network.

https://github.com/TheLindaProjectInc/Linda/releases

I upgraded the wallet the other day and now my wallet won't sync.
Right now its at 33 hours behind with 16 active connections, yesterday it was 12-13 hours behind.
i had the same problem after upgrading.
it's because you are on the wrong (old) chain.
this probably happens if you upgraded a little too late.

you need to backup your wallet (save the wallet.dat somewhere safe), close it, and then deinstall the wallet or delete the wallet files in the roaming folder.
then you start the exe file again to start a fresh install.
then you sync it again (use bootstrap to sync faster).
when you have syncronized totally you close the wallet and copy your saved wallet.dat into the new roaming folder and start wallet again and you should be fine.

two questions...

1. where on my computer (win10) is the data for the qt wallet located?
i cannot find it.

2. i have not gotten any stake reward anymore since the beginning of july.
i was still running the older version of the wallet (v2.0.0.).
does it have something to do with the wallet version?
(now i have upgraded but still no rewards yet.)

Guys, the best place to keep up-to-date and get help with your wallet issues is Discord: https://discord.gg/gyfGdBP

Almost nobody posts here anymore. Linda is very active on Discord, with hundreds of posts every hour and lots of developer participation.

That's a problem this entire industry has - - - poor marketing. You tell people that no action is here and they need to join the discord. Yes, I am well versed with discord but there is a demographic of people that use bitcointalk for their information. Think about that. There is no reason somebody from discord couyldn't step up and keep this thread up to date.

just my 2 satoshi's
exactly!
there are many people who have registered here at bitcointalk to get informed about their coins and either cannot or don't want for several reasons to register at another place for these informations.
it's fine if you do most of the chattering and regular talking at discord now.
but at least let those people here know about the most important informations and news.
it cannot be that difficult if someone carries over these informations to here.

my problem with the wallet is that it has stopped syncing at all.
i have updated the wallet to v3 and my coins show up.
it connects to many nodes but it just doesn't sync any more.
does anybody know a solution for this problem (maybe at discord)?

I tried to put some NIX to IDAX, but my wallet didn't finish the transaction for more than 4 hours now!
Immediately (after waiting an hour) I send a message to NIXPlatform guys at Twitter, but still no response.

Basically, I have my 10 NIX "nowhere". Wallet says transaction is not confirmed and in memory pool... But, I don't see any progress, neither I can abandon/cancel it and try again.
Lucky, it's only 10 NIX..  so I lost just few bucks, but it is annoying that noone gives an response and idea how to solve it.

Using 1.0.0. and now 1.0.1 Windows wallet...

Please, join us on discord and we can help you out there.
https://discord.gg/agAsvQY
discord is not a solutioin for those who are registered in here and not in discord for several reasons.

Hello
Can someone help me please.
when filling out all 3 felers (Your unique ID + Zoin Address + Signature) the NIX adress will not be generated automatically.
Why is it??
I have copied my Zoin address copiert .. I think I have done everything right as well as described in the video tutorial.

download wallet and create an address

https://nixplatform.io

Hello, Thanks for the quick reply.
I followed the steps in the video but without success.
I installed a Zoin Wallet a month ago. My zoin are still on my wallet
Why do I have to install a NIX Wallet?
I have NIX wallet installed. How can the NIX claim now Huh

unfortunately it is not mentioned in the video that you have to install the nix wallet as well to get your own nix address.
just install it and go to "receive" and generate your own address.

Unfortunately the Wallet doesn't sync for me. Is there a Node List I can import?

Ok, I was able to fix it withe the peers.dat file DMZ in Discord posted.
could you please share the peers.dat in here also for those like me who are not in discord?

somewhere it was said that we would have to claim (after mainnet launch) until the 20th of june.
tomorrow is the 20th.
now does that mean we cannot claim anymore after the mainnet launches some day?
can we still claim after the mainnet launches (some day) and how long will be the next claiming period if so?
is there already a new claiming deadline?

You will be able to claim in a few days. When claiming starts you will hav ONE week to claim

cheers!
Don't you think that ONE week is too small period as far as it has no definite start date?
Just say now - from 1 July till 7 July, or whatever other clear date BEFOREHAND.

Not small, 1 week is more that enough, most people will do it the first day - it takes no more than 5 minutes
yes, for those who check continiously and see the release of the mainnet in time it would probably be enough time to claim.
but alot of people will miss that very very short time frame if they don't check so often.
also nobody knows a time frame when to check as there is no new date of release.

Nope.

Is there any hope that price will recover at any level? I have lost my money in this coin. So please pass me any information anyone have.  Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad
what should we tell you?
nobody knows what will happen so no matter what anybody will tell yoou it's pure speculation.

but to maybe comfort you a little, just take a look at the whole market, it's all down at the moment.
so the market should consolidate at some point and go up again.
but as i said it's all just speculation, nobody knows.

that's also why you don't speculate with money you need for other things.
only speculate with money you can afford to lose eventually.

but don't forget, you only lose that money if you sell at a low...

by the way check the "main" thread out:

you might find a little more comfort in there as it is more active than this one.

Re: Walletd just crashed. Process crashed. Return code -1073741818

Hello,
Have submitted a support ticket a few days ago but so far no response therefore am posting here in the hopes that someone could advise.

Since moving to wallet versions 3.x.x, am having continuous difficulties synchronizing the Bytecoin GUI wallet to the blockchain. I repeatedly get the error popup window as follows: "Walletd just crashed. Process crashed. Return code -1073741818"
Am running latest wallet Bytecoin GUI version 3.1.1 and have even deleted my local blockchain copy and started syncing anew in case the block files were possibly corrupt. Apparently not...
Have been trying to synchronize for over a week now. Anyone else having similar issues and successfully resolved them?

Thank you to anyone finding the time to respond to me.
Stumpy

PS: Wish I could just download the full blockchain somewhere as was possible in the past. But seems the older sources are no longer applicable.

i have deleted this crappy and buggy desktop wallet and rather keep my bytecoins in the exchange.
first of all it's very buggy and not so user friendly and the other thing that made me delete it was the huge amount of gb it needs on your hard disk (25gb!).
but what you do with it is your own decision.

I have a problem:
I am STUCK at block 261997. I tried to sync from scratch but nothing.
Any help?

hello forensick, stop in at the Zoin discord hangout:

https://discordapp.com/invite/mE3KemF

lots of helpful peeps in there  Wink
wouldn't it be possible to post a solution in here?
there are some people like me who don't use discord, slack, telegram, etc.
i have registered here in this forum to get informed about some details.
i don't get why this medium should be obsolete.
there are still enough people here so why not help in here with details and instructions/guides?

i have the same problem with syncing the wallet.
as this issue seems to be a well known problem, why not explain the solution in here as well?

by the way where can i find the latest bootstrap for download?
(would be cool to find this info in the op.)

well our devs work hard, and have made themselves available on discord if you have anmy questions not answered here, such as, for example, an up to date bootstrap   Wink
Oh, i love this project and the technologie zerocoin, i have invested and i hold for a long time.
but i think the communication can be better, you must do a slack for communicate between the team and others.
 Wink
you can chat with them on telegram and discord

but why not in here??
i registered here to get infos like that.
what's wrong with this forum that you get all the important information somewhere else??
aren't boards/forums like this not up to date anymore?

this shitty and bad and buggy windows desktop wallet (see my last 2 posts on the last page before this one) actually needs 25 gb on your hard disk!
other qt wallets of other coins need at most 2 gb (most of them even below 1 gb)!
so now i deleted this crappy wallet.
don't want to spend 25 gb of my precious hard disk space for such a suspicious wallet which doesn't work very good and doesn't even show you clearly what is your public address.
