Re: Why Poloniex Has Rejected SuperCoin

Ok, after catching up on this whole thread..
Yes, the OP was based on a misunderstanding of MAX_MONEY, and the Supercoin dev certainly should've been contacted before going public with this..
That said, seriously guys?  6 BTC..  20 BTC?!  On some random cryptopasta?   First rule of investing, especially in cryptos:  Don't invest more than you can afford to lose.  Throwing thousands of dollars into a coin so new that a mistaken accusation can trigger a 50+% dump in price is nobody's fault but your own.  If you threw thousands of dollars into a pink sheet stock, you could blame anyone you'd like when everyone else dumps it before you do, but in the end, your money wasn't taken from you - you chose to put it in an extremely risky investment.  20 BTC on an altcoin...   Unreal.

And how do you think they made those BTC? That's the game - buy low and dump after the pump. If it were the other way around and they made a killing, of course they'd be no complaints. Actually, there were some who made out well at the expense of others. Oh well - you win some, you lose some... but yes, you're so right - can't blame anybody but yourself.

Of course that's the game, but I'm assuming they didn't make that 20BTC all in one shot on an altcoin less than a month old.  If they did, they got extremely lucky, and if that kind of profit was a certainty, we'd all be posting from private jets.

We could do with a couple more pools at least

Very much so.  Nearly the entire hashrate is on Minepit at the moment, since .mn was taken off the list.

Couldn't get the formatting in due to forum signature restrictions, but I've updated the text (and I'm mining at xhash with about 15mh).
Looks good - keep it up!   Wink

Is anyone else getting speed greatly under-reported at HashInvest?   I have 2x 290x and 1x 750ti pointed at it, for a total of about 1mh, and the page is reporting about 100kh (<1% rejects on my end and good WU).

http://188.226.224.163/?vtc=VqMf5TdEYi8AG5so6qwZarJ1DkecoJmCEo&mon=PJSabots1KyFy2NtzL3t6KTEQSGQRnHafi
Using Vertminer on BAMT 1.6 (for the two 290x)

Any suggestions?  Thanks much

Edit:  a half hour later and it's reporting about 68kh.    Sad

What are your scan time, queue, and expiry settings?  I've had simular problems on p2pool nodes if I didn't use a queue setting of 0

Queue was 0, but scan-time and expiry were both too high.  Lowering them [very briefly] bumped the reported hashrate up to 900kh, but since then it's settled back down to around 300kh.  Payouts seem much more regular now (I'm on plx.qemulab now - was getting the under-reported hashrate on both p2pools though).

This is my pool, I have no idea why you got low hashrate, I already said that I pointed one of my rigs to pool and noticed average hashrate.
You can try to tune your rig on regular p2pool if you think something wrong with my pool. And also, you can install your own p2pool node.

Nah, I don't think it's anything to do with your pool - I've always noticed low reported hashrates on p2pools, even after lowering queue to 0, and scan time & expiry below 5 (1, in this case).  Occasionally the reported speed will bump up (right now it says 602 - at one point it said 900) so I'm not too worried.  Before I changed the scan time and expiry when the reported hashrate never went above 1/10 of what it should be (and payouts were equally low), then I was concerned.  Now it seems to just be fluctuating normally.

I believe queue is 1.  Wonder if that's it.  It's fluctuating between 5% and 10% of what the actual speed should be.

It also doesn't seem to be one of those situations where it reports low, but pays out normally - I've made less than a tenth of a VTC in about 8 hours Sad

too many hours mate to just wait....

of course, but it was overnight, sleeping. always a gamble when you do that.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say at this point:  do NOT mine at any of the pools that OP has listed as "comes here to help him find the first block".  The first block should've been long ago, and the fact that the OP hasn't pointed out this problem is more than a little worrisome.  Having miners wasting hash trying to mine your coin isn't good for anyone.

Am I missing something?  What's with the 0 blocks found on the pools?  Still two days of x11 PoW, no?

Edit:  1,553.73% Of Expected Shares..  Sure wish I hadn't set this to mine before I left for work.  Sucking up electricity for nothing at sum.suvpool..   OP takes the time to write "comes here to help him find the first block" on 4 different pools and doesn't think "Y'know, something might be wrong"?

This is the BAMT 1.6 version of SG -any ideas?

He posts "I'm not scared of fake Reddit CEO" after Yishan posts a selfie..   This thread is comic gold.

..but entertainment is the only thing of value here..  Anyone who hasn't already gotten the memo:
Even if this was not a scamcoin it would be blatant trademark violation, which has already caught the attention of the trademark owner, and which the devs don't seem to understand.
Don't send money to someone who doesn't get basic trademark law and can't be bothered to do a simple verification when the CEO of Reddit tells him to save himself a trip to court.

..now back to the show.

I have 2 rigs running a total of 6,3mhs

I see close to what i would think is right, but they are both just running on my bitcoin address, should i set workers for them? If so how? and what would i gain?

To set workers, put an underscore after your address in your username (-u 198FJ9ZncRktsc8HDtPPLCbiMu7T1DuJJb_workername).  If you want to set their diff. individually, use 'd=$diff' as the password, where $diff = desired difficulty.

I leave that on auto for now.

I have split my miners up now, but i am interrested in knowing if it will change anything performance wise.

For now, will i still see the starts on my miners on my own stat page, or will they be split, leaving my current stat page to die off?

It depends; if your rigs are all pretty much the same speed, then it won't change much.  If you've got a couple rigs of varying speeds and don't specify individual workers, then the slower hashrate rig will be running at the same vardiff as the faster one, which is undesirable.
