Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources]

Are there any desktop wallets that actually work with Verge - I've tried windows core, windows-qt, debian-qt and they all have the same problem - none of them can connect to the verge network (always says 0 connections to VERGE network) - is there some trick to getting this working. I've downloaded the block chain and that all seems to be fine, but without any connection to the verge network I fail to see how these wallets can work...

Anyone any ideas what else I can try...

You can download Electrum XVG wallet and if not connect, change network:

e1.verge-electrum.com (ssl Port 50003, not 50002)
e2.verge-electrum.com (ssl Port 50003, not 50002)

For me working fine

Regards.

Ah, okay - at the minute I've just got the linux thing working so will leave it to sync and then look at the other servers

many thanks

questions for devs here:

1) what for are you going to use money raised via ICO?

so far you have raised around 20 BTC which is not change and your target is 1 mil USD in todays price. Definitely not change for team of 2 people. I really would like your plan to be like - if we raise this, we get 2 more devs.. but you are only promising releasing of windows wallet etc.

We always wanted to have a nice and useful GUI wallet. But we realized that our team is too small to develop such wallet. So we decided to premine some coins and sell them all using ICO to raise funds. The funds will be used to hire more developers, to make a GUI wallets and other stuff which we need. The more money we raise, the more developers we can hire, and the faster the development will be.

Don't think I've ever heard so much drivel. This morning I had never even heard of Electron until reading about it in this thread as the preferred option for wallet development, so thought I'd give it a spin. Easily managed to set this up in VS and I now have a wallet using the Electron framework which has comparable capabilities to the thing you've posted - and includes the coinmarketcap-api for ticker output. If I can do this in under 24 hours then I fail to see why you even need a team of developers...

...oh, wait a minute...

okay - that's export (wallet keys in human readable format) and backup implemented - was going to do encryption but discovered this was removed from zcash for reasons best known to the zcash developers and hence, this same state of affairs has been inherited by votecoin

and all less than 2 days development - I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions...
