Some basics of viacoin:

1. 24 s blocktime and up to 175 tps (basic feature)

I agree, when mining leads to unprofitable rewards, that it is hard to convince them to keep mining, but that will only result in a general lower network hashrate.
Which makes it profitable again, with less equipment.

And what is the power of merged mining?

Miners don't lose any of their hashrate on Viacoin, because of the merged mining.

If Viacoin was NOT aux-pow it was not profitable at this point, because the daily coin generation is around 140 coins.

Which is roughly: $40,00 a day.

But look at the hashrate, it is around 50 Th/s.

Someone who mines Litecoin for instance, why they should not mine Viacoin at the same time?

It will only maximize their profits with zero extra costs.

That's why merged mining in my eyes is not only sustainable, but also has a fair market price that is not controlled.

What makes sense to you?

If proof of stake is your ideal world, than i can tell you, that you believe in fairytales. (and this is my own honest opinion)

Proof of stake is heavily centralized, early investors, are making the supply WITH ZERO INVESTMENT, and the rest buy their to expensive coins, well and than they tell you, yes but at our blockchain you get 5% extra income.

Those same people will tell you fuck the banks, be your own bank.

While they are in fact the 1% and have the printer running. like a money faucet.

And when i decide to invest in proof of stake, than i look yes, for 250 dollars i have let say 250 coins.

250 coins + 5% than i get 12.5 coins for ONE YEAR RUNNING MY COMPUTER FULLTIME. ( how green is that, and is it profitable?)

While the early investors:
1. bought their coins for very low prices
2. when they have 500000 coins they get 25000 coins per year for free
3. they have a basic income with zero costs and effort
4. they control the price and when they decide to hold their coins, the generation is much more because they get that 5% on every coin that is freshly generated.

Same for masternodes, really nice what they all tell, but it is not for me.

Look at dash or whatever, yes really nice coin, great all so great, i decided that i want to contribute to the network, now let see what do i need, oh a masternode, and how many coins do i need? 1000...... that's $60,000, so even when i wanted to contribute to the network, the rule makers of that specific blockchain made it for me impossible to help.

And why should i invest 60000 dollars in dash for instance if i can buy mining equipment for that same amount of money? than i am not attached to one blockchain?

POW AND AUXPOW DONT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS.

When coins are sold, they are sold, not as with pos, well i sell these coins and the next week i have the same balance.

SOLD = SOLD - NO FREE COIN GENERATION

That's why i see proof of work as one of the fairest systems, you have the miners who needs to invest in their equipment and have electricity bills to pay etc.. and you have the people who invest in the currency itself, and hold the coins in the believe that the coin will be more worth in the future and only generate fiat when the price is going up.

I was in search for a cryptocurrency that really fits in my view.

And Merged mining came the closest.

As i am writing Bitcoin dips again, i hope we can sustain the 8000 satoshi level for Viacoin.

Where the bottom lies for Bitcoin? nobody knows.
Is this market manipulation? yes probably if you ask me.


In my opinion they are confusing the markets, and a lot of people will impulse trade.

I'm going to be fair, i lost a decent amount of money but sold nothing and will not sell, even if it meant to be that i lost everything what i have invested.

Yes, it sucks to lose hard earned money, definitely if you have not much to spend each month, and what you can spend you bought cryptocurrency for it recent months.

But i am not seeking compassion here, i did it myself, and tought the market was slowly recovering, well we all know how that turned out.

Thats why i am thinking this is pure market manipulation, after this peak in 2017/2018 there where these support levels around 6000, than in the end almost a straight line just above support.

Than suddenly it crashes way below, so a lot of people including me, intented it either was slowly recovering or was still in the bear cycle but not at a speed like this.

Also the price of BTC jumps to little after a decline like this, it is more like the decline and than it is sustained.

But i am convinced it will recover, there's to much going on in the cryptocurrency space.

Just to make a few examples:


1. Goldman Sachs one of the biggest investment banks will open a crypto trading desk in the near future.

2. Remember the Crypto-vault in switzerland, where probably for million if not billion dollars worth of bitcoin is stored.



But with a decline like this, there are also coming some positives.


1.You have the chance if you bought cryptocurrency for a higher price, to decrease your dollar average drastically.

But never put in to much, if you have let say 100 dollars, it's better to buy 4 x 25 dollars than all at once, don't be in a hurry.

2. There's probably coming a whole new audience, that are going to see chances and will buy cryptocurrency.

And the crypto-community will become bigger.

3. Also have a close look to the wealth-distribution charts, the ones with a very large wallet, probably will sell a x percentage of their funds, and smaller investors pick that up, making it better distributed, what in the long term provide for more liquidity.


Is my opinion changed about Viacoin with the recent price changes?

Not at all, 90% of my holdings are in Viacoin.
Because it has all the features, what i think are important.

Also i am realy thrilled to see when market recovery occurs, how fast viacoin will recover, if my thought about no inflation is right, viacoin should recover faster than others.

Because with cryptocurrency that have a higher inflation, the miners have much more to sell, before the price will increase.

But that aside.


I am convinced people who have invested or received Viacoin from friends or whatever, are going to stick with it.

It's a great working product, easy to use, sending and receiving is almost instant without using LN and the android copay wallet is ready to use within 2 minutes.


A big plus for me is also that it is trading on Binance one of the biggest exchanges in the world, and with a BNB trading pair, which not all coins have !


And patiently waiting for all the updates that are coming like:

The lightning network what is going to be released in the near future, also the anonymous samourai wallet.

And a lot more !

Why i prefer Viacoin



First of all it is auxiliary proof of work. Which is in my opinion one of the fairest systems.

People can mine Viacoin without hardly losing any of their hashrate, what makes it also long term sustainable.

If i look to proof of stake for instance, i see that almost all pos coins are centralized.

Only a handfull of people increase the supply of coins, and slowly sell their coins.
And those same people telling everybody that banks print money out of thin air, while they do basically the same.

They had the advantage / luck to buy in very early and made it a money faucet, for the rest of the time that people will buy their freshly generated coins, which is nothing more than basically turn on your wallet for a few hours a day with totally no investment or costs whatsoever.

Everyday they will turn on their wallet and another 50.000 dollar etc.. Is ready to be sold.

Such problems don't exist with Viacoin.
Viacoin has almost no inflation, and when it will hit the max supply, there will be totally no inflation, and the miners will only generate the transaction fees.

No money faucets for a few in Viacoin.
When coins are sold they are sold.
And if you want them back, you need to buy them back.

But this aspect aside.

Also compare Viacoin with other cryptocurrencies.
Than you will notice that Viacoin has a very fast blocktime of 24 seconds.
And sure their are cryptocurrencies with even a faster blocktime, but does any faster as Viacoin really matter?

For me it don't.
My transactions are at such a speed that i almost instant send or receive funds. (Without using the lightning network)

Also the transaction fees are randomly around 200 vitoshi, which is below $0,0005 !

Let's compare digibyte for instance,

The digibyte coin generation is 736 coins per block.
Their blocktime is 15 seconds. Their are 2944 coins generated each minute. That is 176.640 coins per hour. Which is 4.239.360 coins per day at the current rate of $0,0236 is an everyday inflation of $100.048,89.

Than we calculate the inflation of Viacoin.

The Viacoin coin generation is 0.078215 per block.
Blocktime is 24 seconds. There are 0.195 coins generated each minute. That is 11,7 coins per hour. Which is 280,8 coins per day at the current rate of $0,6503 is an everday inflation of $182,60.

And than we not even talked about supply, and the probably manipulated / overrated price of digibyte.

Because digibyte is POW. I think there never will be a fair price in the existence of digibyte.

Because miners must earn their coins at a rate that they have profit and it is attractive to miners to mine Digibyte.

These problems don't exist with Viacoin, because Viacoin is auxiliary proof of work and can be mined without hardly losing any hashrate on the Viacoin network itself.

Lets take a look to the supply of both coins.

We begin with Digibyte and we decrease the supply of Digibyte to 23 million what is the supply of Viacoin.

Digibyte: The circulating supply is 10.000.000.000 ( 10 B )

10 B at $0,02

1 B at $0,20

100 M at $2,00

10 M at $20,00

Yes at a supply of 10 M a price of $20,00 !

10.000.000 (supply DGB) x 2,3 (supply VIA) = 23.000.000.

$20,00 x 2,3 = $46,00.

Digibyte would have a worth of $46,00 if we decrease DGB to the supply of Viacoin.

Very overrated i think for Digibyte.
But the price of digibyte is manipulated i think because there would be no miners for Digibyte and the network would probably be out of the running.

Remember that Viacoin don't have these problems !

The price of Viacoin is not kept artificially high, thats why you pay for Viacoin $0,65 instead of $46,00 !

Also the aspect of no inflation in combination with aux-pow makes it more decentralized than others, because behind digibyte and others are operating big mining farms, they don't care about the projects they mine, only the profits they are making , and they let people pay a high price, for which they sell.

And i am not here to bash digibyte or any other currency, this is my own opinion and i can be wrong.

Also when you look at the charts you see Viacoin has decreased around 10 times since all time high. (ATH $6,60 -current rate $0,65)

While others decreased way more rapidly, lets take a look to random others:


QTUM - ATH $103 -current rate $3,00 - 34 x decreased.

BCD - ATH $93 -current rate $2,00 - 46 x decreased

XVG - ATH $0,28 - current rate $0,01 - 28 x decreased


And this are just a few examples.
You will notice that the price of Viacoin did it better than most others while we are in this bear cycle.

This is probably because there are no multi million dollar mining farms behind Viacoin.

But enough about that.

Just have a look to all the features of Viacoin. Compare it with others and decide by yourself.

Just a tip when you buy cryptocurrency: Buy small quantities over a spreaded time period, than you probably have a better control over your dollar average.

It will only maximize their profits.

Auxiliary proof of work is also what Viacoin making it long term sustainable.
Because why should a miner not mine Viacoin? It's free.

The other feature of Viacoin is that it has a secure network hashrate.
Meaning that a 51% attack for instance is very expensive for possible attackers to care out.

A lot of people don't look to hashrates at all, but it are the fundamentals of a secure network.

The network hashrate of Litecoin is at this moment: 200 TH/s

While the Viacoin network hashrate is at this moment: 22 TH/s.

Keep in mind that Litecoin ($53,74) is about 100 times the value of Viacoin ($0,55).

My thought: They let the price of bitcoin swing, without that bitcoin lost serious value and goes 2000 / 3000.
But in these swings, a lot of people are uncertain about their investment, in the alt's.

So with every swing down of bitcoin, people sell off their alts, which makes alts cheaper and cheaper in every swing.

Because they know their is not enough funds in those communitys, to sustain these prices, and people are afraid of losing money.


So we as a Viacoin community, must sell zero...
If you need to pay family or friends, ask if you can pay them in Viacoin, don't send them your personal funds, but buy it in the exchanges and send it directly to them.

What here happens, is that your total privacy is gone, what was one of the fundamentals of cryptocurrency in general.

I hope a face-picture is not needed under the 1000 dolar of etn, if this is needed i am gone.

Never put my face picture anywhere on the internet, don't like it, and always the needed trust in those ' data company's' and always the news, that something being hacked.

Want to share some of personal data, but no face picture.

We the community are ETN, and we must wanted to provide some of our personal data, because this is no democracy policy, this has some fundamentals of a dictatorship.

Don't like to provide personal data to 3rd party company's, it is only risk for me that my data may be get stolen and zero risk for them.
