TF reached out to me and reimbursed a very high % of my BTC loss, in BTC. I removed my negative trust feedback accordingly. Reply to him and give him a new if you wish BTC deposit address, you will see, nothing to risk. I sent him a redacted ID (blacking out some key numbers so there is no risk of ID fraud either).

It's true man. It takes a lot of effort to attract investors, because they have so many ICOs to choose from.
So, during pre - ICO minimum amount allowed is $5000. The exchange rate, say, USD/ETH will be calculated on the day of the payment? Also, it says one can use fiat money. How does that work? Will you provide some bank acc details or something?
For pre-ICO (white list) yes it's from $5000. USD/Crypto conversion on the moment of the payment. For the pre-ico we can accept fiat when you fill a short KYC form.

Bitreserve essentially just introduced free short-selling by locking the USD value without fees - no leverage tho.
So it is not short selling by definition, as short selling implies you do not have the bitcoins to start with.
