I don't know, i have quite mixed feelings about the merits system. It's easy to say things like "just make a good quality post and get merits" but sometimes its not as easy as it sounds. And then I guess many people are just conservative about their merits and do not like giving them out.

I think the Futourist has a good business plan and I am a huge fan of all the features it intends to roll out, however it needs to work on the ways to generate token value. That alone is the sole weak point of this project, I feel.
Well that is not true at all. Not only we have built ways that create demand on business side, we created a lot of incentive on ordinary user/visitor side to own and operate with tokens. Please read the whitepaper before posting enormous red fonts of invalid arguments.
How are you going to get the average user to buy your tokens? You can only generate so much demand on business side. How many businesses will really want to buy FTR tokens just to start a campaign to get reviews? Most of the time businesses would rather spend on direct marketing such as advertisements.

Good article, however it doesnt mention one crucial aspect of the Futourist platform.
Tokens are going to have a hard time increasing in value.
The only way that demand for FTR tokens to increase in price(outside of market speculation) is if businesses buy the tokens and use them to to host contests/promotions. Every other usage of FTR tokens involves giving tokens to the community to incentivize content creation. This will mean more selling pressure than the demand for FTR.
