It's just a bit modified source (2 bytes instruction with frequency check removed), nothing to do with temp etc.
I never had a chance to check "stock FW"

Z9 (not Z9 mini) FW with unlocked frequencies is available for community for free

ANY OVERCLOCKING YOU TRY - ON YOUR OWN RISK
Original frequencies are 500 and 550 MHz. But almost all Z9 from first batches are good at 650 MHz (+20% hashrate)

It is based on bitmain Antminer-Z9-DEFAULT-500-DUAL-MODE-201808280957.tar.gz firmware, only minor modifications were made - freq unlocking, adding freq list, adding links and donation addresses
here they are at a glance:
cgminer is modified using disassembler and bytes patching

My collegue, efudd https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2271429 is working on the same task, but with more features/support etc. So you have an option to have a deal with him - check topic nearby

patch looks very simple itself, it took less than few hours to figure out how, unfortunately I didn't have a chance to check it previously because don't own Z9

You forgot to say you take donations as well
All you did - was changing few bytes in original cgminer binary. My understanding is that it costs no more than ~10$ per machine

I hope community will have free version very soon

I heard they were selling them in Feb almost twice cheaper than $5800. May be now they can sell it for 15 hundreds lol

Regarding consumption - I'm sorry, let me be more specific
I didn't have opportunity to measure it using some special equipment, but I had power strip designed for max load 2kWt - it was good with 1.8kWt and 1.6kWt loads previously, and it didn't withstand this unit (powered off after ~30min)
So I concluded it's a little bit more that 2kWt (but definitely more than 1.8kWt)


update: 680pll, 19Th, consumption between 2.1 and 2.15kW

what do you need to hear guys as feedback?
about e10.1
1. the software is as crappy as previous e9+. still no root from manufacturer (but it can be hacked)
2. hashrate is as described, power cunsumption is like 2.2-2.4kWt
3. psu is integrated, it works
4. main board is connected directly in the blades - so no more wires except fan wires

but overall - it works

upd - didn't measure power using some special stuff. please check msg below with more info

looks like they work only with us-based customers who already bought some miners from them
e.g. one guy here got recently invoice for e9 (old) controller board replacement


btw, I had a chance to look into ebit e10.1 - so there is ability to get root access
