Yes it is weed. And yes it is legal here.  Cheesy
Don't know how much any more but i think it was around 3000 euro

Good investment 3,000€, but have you reached ROI (return of investment)? how much do you earn per day/month?

I guess that depends on the price of local weed futures.

Well i didn't want to say for weed, i meant about the rig, the mining rig how much time does it take to get back the money invested in.

No not at ROI yet and hobby's cost money so i don't think it's that important. I just want to mine some btc for an other year and then save them for 10 years.
When al 5 where overclocked it took me 14 days for a btc. But one broke down du to shit bitmain softwere. (burn it self to dead) So ROI will take some time.
Ps i don't think this is the right topic for this discussion.

Alright but isn't 10 years just too long lol, but congratz for your rig i like it, i was buying a G-black to mine scrypt coins but i changed my mind. Good luck

I know. I was trying to make the joke of having to consider also the weed output of the whole thing to run it profitably.

Well at least a smile to notify about the joke Tongue , well i think in this case the ROI is very soon, and the mining rig is just for fun.

latest setup. Running around ~27TH of gear and have 4.5kW of solar panels on grid tie inverters.

Your rigs are looking great, well organized but i have a question these power inverters do you use them when you don't have electricity or even if you have.
As far as i know there are used with external batteries to not interrupt the power to the rigs when the electricity is down.

MaximeAD how many TH do you have now ?

I host 300+ TH/s.

Have you reached your ROI with these mining rigs.
Your rig seems very nice and cool, and inspiring.
I just wonder if you guys will continue mining when the block reward will be decreased to 12.5BTC?

@philipma1957 can you sleep in the same room with you mining rig?
Aren't those noisy to sleep in front of them, btw i like your rigs.
@valkir well it can be for fun, but i like when it is also for profit Smiley

I was thinking the same thing. Mining rigs generate a lot of energy, I can't imagine being able to sleep with the massive noise/heat just feet away from my head. Lol if I was a miner and that were my set up I wouldn't even want to ROI, it wouldn't be worth the lack of sleep imo.

I can't sleep with my pc or laptop ON, neither when i leave them at 100% so solve anything(or mining).
About the high energy (heat) that have these it's not much problem.
Mostly miners put their mining rigs on another clear room, or in garage.

This setup is of

my 20 sidehack/novac/compac sticks

set at freq 200 running debian 7.7 on an intel 4570t cpu machine. Along with a node.

19 sticks on a modded stud hub

the 20th stick uses a y cable and 2 ports of the pc

I drilled a hole on the heat sink. I hung the stick by the psu's exhaust since the pc only runs the sticks and a node the psu exhaust works well to cool the 20th stick.

I see mess of cables, but still better than nothing.
May i know what are your daily or monthly earning.
Have you reached the ROI or you are still waiting Tongue.

They should have went for a location with cheaper electricity.  Likely if they would have went were some of the Chinese mines are it's possible they would still possibly be profitable.

I don't think selling all of those is going to be easy.   Selling a ton of old gear just is not something most want.

Most of them(maybe all) are old equipment which consumes lots of electricity and brings not good profits, which results to a less chance to sell them.

I use a bottle of everclear. Works wonders!

We first have to remove the coarse dust and particles with compressed air:
https://i.imgur.com/piYLmyK.jpg

We then use electronic detergent to suspend the remaining particles in a temporary solution and to blow it away:
http://arexons.it/images/made/images/uploads/prodotti/4247_394_394_c1.jpg
The dust problem is slightly mitigated by our new filters:

Now we have to clean the filters...

That's a lot of dust in your mining farm, that can be cleaned within a day or less, may i know how many rigs do you have.
What is the total of the hashrate, i just checked your website and checked the contracts plans but not so much information.
The VIP benefits**, what benefits are you offering to the users, i would be interested in the VIP M.

I agree with abonarea: You need a strong will to stop gambling at the right time.
Many gamblers cant stop and lose all their money again.
Use a good strategy, be patient, be smart and have a strong will.  Cool
