TIPaCOIN will be the easiest, safest and cheapest way for all creators of online content to receive financial support from their community on a regular basis.
Our principle is similar to that of Patreon or Steady. The crucial difference is the use of the Ethereum Blockchain: Thanks to this, payments are decentralized, transparent and operate at minimum transaction costs. With TIPaCOIN, a maximum commission of 3.3% is due - in comparison to about 30%, that often get lost on traditional platforms on the way from supporter to creator.
TIPaCOINs payment token is TIPCOIN. It will serve as method of payment on our platform.
During the Pre-ICO phase, investors receive a 20% discount on TIPCOINs compared to the regular ICO.
Why it is important to decentralize Patreon-like platforms:
Old money transactions take a long time and most of the time incur huge fees. To cushion this painful loss of money for their users, most platforms urge their creators to "pool" payments, and even suggest reward tiers to optimize transaction fees. Because on TIPaCOIN all payments are done on the ethereum blockchain, transaction times are very fast - seconds compared to days with old money - and super cheap - at most a few cents, trending down as blockchain scaling progresses.
Since most of the processing work is done on the blockchain, we don't have to rely on expensive data centers and payment gateways to run the platform, resulting in very low usage fees for creators (3.3% compared to Patreon's ~30%)!
On old money platforms, creators lose their income if the platform goes down - our decentralized approach does not strictly need a company running the show, think of us like the project managers and developers in an open source project, and not as the owners of the platform.
True micro payments are possible! Because no third parties are involved in the payment process, even ¢10/month subscriptions are viable since only a flat fee of 3.3% is charged.
Through smart contracts, we can guarantee things like fees not going up, and rules not changing.
We have no access to users funds, therefore we cannot hold users' funds hostage.

The funds raised during the Pre-ICO will be used to initiate a successful ICO. We will primarily invest them in the development of TIPaCOINs platform prototype and marketing.
