So...
your new sale is listed as:
Hash Sale - only $0.59 per/GH!
sounds ok but...
"Hosting fee of $0.10 per Gh per month will be deducted from earnings. "   Huh? Really?Huh

so for 1TH I pay $590...ok
1TH (this month) with an estimated 3.64% increase in difficulty,  may ballpark around $127...ok

BUT taking $100 a month back ($.10 x 1000)... not ok
$27 the first month profit....only to get worse quickly after that.

why so high a hosting fee all of a sudden???

yeah... I've seen that thread already. It shows only cgminer and...I cant get cgminer to work at all with this board in minepeon. I need the switches for bfgminer to overclock it and control fan speed.
it shows up as hfa under devices in bfgminer.

You also need to say how much power you can provide? Do you have 30kw of available power running to your house? I have around 5th of hashing because...I don't have enough power in my house(at any price) for more devices.

Maybe TerraHash can come out of the woodwork and buy some of these chips? Then they can sell some more vaporware.

VMC Fast-Hash 750GH setup/config question
by

on 03/11/2014, 11:14:43 UTC
I just got one of these cards(the ones with 4 pci-e power connectors) but, I need a little help with the command switches to get it running faster.
I found these settings for the 512 board in the old VMC thread:
cgminer.exe --hfa-fan 100 --hfa-hash-clock 720

I am using a Pi with the latest version of minepeon. If I use the default cgminer settings in minerpeon the board just keeps cycling power every 10sec... If I use the default bfgminer settings, it hashes fine at around 220gh and temps stay low at 69-70c, very stable.   Are there recommended clock settings for this board?  can I use --hfa or another switch with bfgminer?

I would like to figure out how to set fan and clock settings using bfgminer if possible, or if not, how to get cgminer to work.

It's connected to a Seasonic x-850 power supply and a CoolitSystems water cooler.

Protection against hardware failure. In my mind 200 devices is better than less devices, as 1 failure only affects 0.5% of hash rate. We have these moving round in stock all the time so any units that die will be replaced with working units as fast as possible. Can't give any guarantee as to the timescale that would be, because it would depend how we are for units in the warehouse at anytime. it will however be first possible opportunity
Ever heard of hot spares?? Why not simply run 4 or so extra miners? There's no loss because there earning, and that's enough to cover failures and keep an active 200 machines mining all the time for the pool.

also, this implies that all your 'warehouse' miners are mining(not boxed up) until they are sold??

Put your USD into coins and STOP reading the forums and STOP investing in mining.

Go for a walk or have fun with family.

Do this for 2 years and you will come back richer than us all.

I always hate this argument... if you buy something that makes more coin than it cost, it's not better than holding the coin.

(maybe that's not your point though)

Suggestion for a 'tutorial' Sticky (updated with example)
by
sniffinpoprocks
on 25/02/2014, 13:17:51 UTC
An idea that I have seen used in other forums (Xbox hacking to be specific) was to have a single sticky that contained links to all relevant hacks/mods/firmwares, etc. It was moderated and anyone with a new tutorial would either post to the thread or just PM the OP and the OP would add it to the main post and keep the rest locked down.
I think this could be beneficial here if it was maintained by someone knowledgeable.
A single sticky, with links to multiple setup guides, updated as new equipment is released or as needed.
As is, you can still browse this section or search but... this would be a nice, easy to find, starting point for all hardware... especially as older guides roll off the first couple pages.
It could also stay locked so it's only providing info, nothing else.

Thanks SO MUCH for this post!! I think it really stands out next to your great setup guides. I'd like to caution others before recommending other power supplies be added to the list. A 'great' power supply in any other application doesn't make a great ASIC miner power supply. If it hasn't been tested stable for a few months on a Cube, Blade, Ant.. etc; please don't recommend it. I have gone through 2 other 'quality' power supplies that would do wonders in a PC, that have failed miserably within days at powering a single Cube. A 600w OCZ and a Cooler Master V1000 (1000w) both were not up to the task.
I just ordered 2 CXM750's to quench my thirst for power. Hope to have my Cubes up and rocking in a few days!!

If there was a tutorial section, I think you could fill it up alone.

And, as one of those taking up your time with PM's and you answering me in a very timely manner...
Thanks again!

power issues with Erupter cubes
by
sniffinpoprocks
on 23/02/2014, 15:59:09 UTC
I have 3 Cubes, i had one running successfully for about a month, it started making crack/pop noises and would trip the power supply. I got two more, new in the mail a couple days ago. I tried a single new one to see if the old one was going bad. Now, the power supply wont even power a single cube, new or old, for any time at all without internally 'tripping' and needing about 5 min with power off to reset. If i pull the cube fuse, it works fine(cube fan spins up), it just cant provide power to the cube with the fuse in. This is my second power supply! First was an OCZ 600w. I went bigger on the current one, it's a brand new Cooler Master V1000. It's got a frikkin 83A single 12v rail. 996 watts on the 12v alone. It's on a 220v 20a ckt(4400 watts) which doesn't trip, just the power supply internally trips. Hooking up the old 600W does the same; which should power a single cube fine. Both act exactly the same, they trip off and die either immediately or within a couple minutes. I got one of the new ones reconfigured IP wise last night before it died.

I'm now looking to buy a server power supply and hack it to provide power but...anyone else had issues like this and found an easier solution? I'm almost ready to chuck these all together and get an S1 instead.

112bit who are they??
by

Anyone have more info on 112bit? They're advertising here. There selling AntMiners but...as usual around here, only accepting ripoff payment methods(bitcoin and bank transfer)

Anyone purchased from them? Know who they are?

there "live" chat requests go unanswered.

their site says "Our company has been designated authorized distributor for USA by Bitmain Tech Ltd (https://bitmaintech.com)"    True???
