Re: Need some schooling advice

I think it's better to think about your education previously and then about work. Work and real experience are great but education is very important too. I think you should prioritize steps of your life and estimate your abilities. Will it be possible for you to manage with your school and work? A wise person is one who knows how to competently assess his capabilities

This is a good thought, but since I'm in the same position as OP what do you think about my point of view. I'm a CS student and I work for few companies in a related industry, I'm planning to quit and focus solely on work while trying to get as much knowledge as I can and start a company for a service I've been thinking this last year, what do you think is it worth it?

Re: Can New Projects compete with the established ones?

This is a good question. I believe that is quite hard for blockchain based projects to achieve the level or standard platforms because of their new age, user interface or technical reasons. I believe that some industries have it easier to perform and reach users if they have a user friendly interface and the concept is simple. Lets take transaction applications or communication platforms. I've been using lately Sylo, which right now is a semi-centralized platform for communication. They have been around for few years, so they are not just another ICO. Since blockchain offers easier decentralization through it's nodes, Sylo team used P2P technology combined with a blockchain protocol to make communication immutable or basically fully decentralized. This is an example, so projects that have a working product and try to use blockchain to improve it, may stand a change. But having other projects that rely on blockchain alone and have just started will be quite hard to get on top in their respective niche.

I was just researching around about Metatrader 4. I saw that Metatrader 5 is the demo version so I decided to try it out, do you know any video that really explains how this app works?

You have some good points there but this is not something no one thought of. And looking the other side, do you have any knowledge in the hacking field since hacking exchanges is not as simple as to just install an .exe and boom.

Re: What do you think about Post-ICO Bounty?

Bounties are a good way to get some tokens that you can later use on the platform that is being developed. While bounty hunting I found a project called Sylo, which is making a decentralized platform, I started using that platform and now the tokens I'll get from bounty will be used to upgrade my storage.

I doubt WhatsApp is going to be mixed anything with cryptocurrency, since Facebook is not that pro-crypto.

You can't fully rely on a tool to keep you safe, there are tools out there that don't detect the newest hacks. The rule is simple if you don't want to get hacked make sure you know what you are downloading and installing on your PC.

Well, I'd like to become a bitcoin hacker but it's not that simple, it's super hard. Also, agree with your words, no one dreams about a 9-5 job until 65, so good luck to you. Remember me as your motivator so when you get millions to send me something.

Re: Is ICO Dying ?
by

The main reason why ICO these days are failing is because every team just planned how to gather funds and not on how to really deliver a product. I used to aim for projects that have been in the technology space for a long time, similar to Sylo. They have been in this industry for more than 5 years now and they are recently working on decentralization through blockchain on their communication platform. It's more likely that a project and team that has been around for a long time to succeed than a team that was set up just like a showcase for ICOs.

I've noticed this one too. Taking your example I search about Sylo and I can see they were active way before even crypto started being hyped, I can also name a ton of projects that had platforms and applications before trying to move toward blockchain. That is the best approach for a project to succeed, since we saw what a massacre 2017 was were more than 90% of ICOs failed and the money went missing.

Re: Will one blockchain rule them all?
by
snisps

It doesn't seem very possible in the current structure. Nowadays, every project is working with its main net work and the dream of building the Blockchain network. Even Binance is working for that. They want to create a blockchain network which belongs completely them.

That's why we are lacking on the expansion and adoption side. There are too many cyptos, too many similar projects, too many main-nets and basically too many of everything. I think the that the current state of crypto wouldn't be here if we had only Bitcoin to rule them all, everyone working on it's network to improve it and create platforms from there (idk if that is theoretically possible).

Everything decentralized is great. I've switched towards decentralized applications since they started getting more popular, I use OpenBazaar quite a lot, Sylo for communication with my bussines clients, IDEX for my crypto needs. At start it's quite hard to get used after using common applications daily, but for my privacy I prefer decentralized applications over those that can be hacked/misused.

There are a lot of free movies around, make sure to back up the whole website and upload movies on your server then if the page gets shutdown, you can simply buy a new domain name and olla  Kiss
