Re: Trump Election Results Speech: Here Are All The False Claims
by

I'm so sick and tired of Trump said something and immediately you have the supposed to be unbiased anchor saying, "This is a lie." It's sickening. Let the guy talk. Trump says that they have been hearing stories of this and that. Immediately, "This is a lie..." Just let the guy talk and let things evolve.

He's probably still alive since Bitcoin is not that old. This topic would make more sense 15 years from now. He's probably still doing whatever he can to keep his identity hidden.

I sort of do that for random YouTube videos. What you describe sounds obsessive, since the chances of things getting deleted is rare.

I think there have been a couple of ICO designed for such business. The problem with them is that why bother with a currency specifically for say Airbnb, going through all the complications when if you were to pay with Crypto, you could with Eth or Bitcoin.

Yes, the whole impeachment proceeding is only unifying his base and turning off the undecided.

I think this is just a conservative talking point. Trump never had very much support. The only reason he won is because Hillary was so despised by both parties. She still managed to win the popular vote, by a lot. I think her problem is unique. As I've said before, you never heard about a "Never Biden" or "Never Bernie" camp.

To get an idea of how out of touch the majority of the forum (P&S, anyway) is with what's actually happening in politics, here are the results from a poll I posted back in October.

The majority of votes went to "He won't be impeached."

The majority of voters in this poll chose "Yes" to the question will Trump win a second term.

Quite frankly, you guys just don't know as much as you think you do.

Right now I'd put "Other" at about 60% and Trump at 40%. Most people here I'm sure are 1o0% TRuMp.

What do you mean by you guys? I'm not a conservative. I don't follow anyone. It's just obvious, they're trying to impeach him over nothing, people are not that naive. It makes the Democrats look like babies.

The vibe that I get is that he's not evil. Not the type that will start wars and get people killed. That doesn't mean he's the greatest guy in the world, but he's not evil.

I dont believe in destiny, you are the one who decides on your own life
I'll give you one basic question, so tell me, can u choose your family ?

That's not really destiny if you think about it. It's just reproduction. For it to be destiny would require for you to have been alive before.

Re: Can bitcoin be worthless?
by

The only way that Bitcoin can become worthless is if there was a fatal exploit of it. Otherwise, the price could never go down to zero, because there will always be people who will buy as much as they can if the price say goes below $100.

Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin
by
snkneo
on 17/08/2018, 06:34:40 UTC
if i build a bank of bitcoin that operating like a traditional fiat money bank when people can save the money and get interest for their saving and also people can get a loan from my bank but the fiat money is change for bitcoin, the question is would you guys trust me to save your bitcoin on my bitcoin bank that i want to build ?

So let say you do start a Bitcoin bank, why would people trust you to hold their Bitcoins? After a person earns interest on their Bitcoins, how are you going to pay them after you get hacked and all the money the Bitcoins are stolen?

One of the biggest things that people repeat over and over in the crypto world is to never leave your crypto in an exchange, for obvious reasons. Why would a Bitcoin bank be different?

by

You should have mentioned how exactly it was stolen. Individual wallets on an exchange is not randomly stolen like that, so I'm assuming you were a victim of a phishing scam.

Once you have your Bitcoin stolen there's not much you can do, no one to complain. Unless you know who did it and can physically go to them, it's gone.

Re: Hodlers will not change the world
by

on 09/08/2018, 04:37:56 UTC
The problem is that while I'm sure people into Bitcoin back in 2010, 2009 were into because they wanted to change the world, the vast majority of people in it now is here to make profit. And that's the reality, and one must accept reality. So why you might tell people that holding will not change the world, you're not speaking to like minded people.

I think these are some of the last things people concern themselves when they get into BTC, since greed and making in money is more in the front of their minds. Interesting how it was written in 2011. And the talk about people having 25,000 BTC as being normal suddenly depressed me. Never again such an opportunity.

I think require 5000 privcy is too hard for new members,  i think new rule will be  hold 100%  , it is bettter for all . we can have a lots of airdrop participants

It's not all bad. On the one hand it can make it hard for just anyone to participate in the air drop, but the good thing about it is that the people who do get in are less likely to be dumpers. If one comes in new, that means they actually believe in the future of this coin.

I think a better way to put it is that it will expand the mind of people, not so much build their IQ.

On a personal level it has certainly expanded my mind to the fact that anything is possible, because there are so many things in this world that we are not exposed to. And to not just be in your own everyday world that’s all about doing the same routine on a daily basis. Getting up going work, come home, and that there's nothing else possible besides that, else you cannot pay your bills.

That's a really good question, because I often wonder if it really does anything.

I get the feeling that they are not all that important, because when people come across a promotion, it's just another promotion out of hundreds. We are saturated by coins.

Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go)
by
snkneo
on 23/07/2018, 21:42:02 UTC
Hi,
Let's suppose that Bitcoin became adopted everywhere such as paying bills with Bitcoin, getting salary with Bitcoin, shopping, restaurant etc...
How your country gonna survive if you only use Bitcoin in a daily basis? I mean a country cannot survive if individuals doesn't pay taxes, well with Bitcoin you don't pay any tax right?
How this gonna be possible? Please shed for me some light on this.
Thanks

I'm sure many people will pay there taxes, and the government would crack down on those who are not. It's the only reason why I see they might "ban" it, because then it becomes a concern of national security.
