Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025

I'm curious which team gonna sign Isak, his price tag is too expensive and almost all top teams already get their own strikers.

Liverpool, Ekitike.
Arsenal, Gyokeres.
Chelsea, Joao Pedro.
Other teams already have their own strikers.
Aside from Arsenal, the other clubs can sign him, but the question is, are they really interested in Isak? AFAIK, Chelsea isn't interested in another striker after signing Delap and Joao Pedro. It's only Liverpool that is still showing interest, and I think Newcastle United should sell him and reinvest the money because they might not make such money if they decided to keep him for another season.

Manchester United made it known that they will not be going for Jackson and Sesko this season. The striker Manchester United should go for is Isak because he's Premier League proven and he's good at finishing, but signing Isak from Newcastle United will cost Manchester United a lot of money, and Manchester United can't afford to risk such an amount of money to sign Isak from Newcastle United this season.
Let's be honest with ourselves. There's no way Manchester United can sign Alexander Isak because of his hefty price tag. They're still hoping to get money from the sales of outgoings which is far from happening right now. The striker I think they can sign this summer is Ollie Watkins. His market valuation is around €40 million euros. But again, I'm not sure if Aston Villa would want to part ways with him.

There was a time an altcoin was so hyped, and I wanted to invest after doing my own research. My heart was telling me not to invest, while my head was telling me otherwise. I went ahead and bought some tokens during the presale, thinking that after doubling my bag I would sell and invest the funds in Bitcoin. After the launch, the price started going down sharply as if it wanted to discover oil. I quickly sold my bag but also lost some amount of money. I learnt never to invest in any shitty project again.

Re: Concerns on Bitcoin and Seed phrase handling

* Was it within the officers duty to go through what he had on paper?
* Suspect went around and about with his seed phrase
* Suspect ran a red light, putting himself in line for an investigation
* Suspect went out of his way to explain what the phrases was for
The suspect may be carrying illegal substances like drugs or firearms for trying to run the red light. So yes, it was within the officer's right to go through the suspect's personal stuff. The suspect made the dumb mistake of carrying the seed phrase around. He's even lucky it was the police that arrested him, he might still have some time to create another wallet and move the funds. But what if they were armed robbers who have ideas about crypto? He probably would lose the funds.

Yep, I thought Leverkusen use their Academy players, but when I check their lineup in that match, most of them are senior players https://www.besoccer.com/match/flamengo-u20-juvenil/bayer-leverkusen/202612247/lineups

I think there's no excuse, even though Leverkusen lost Tah, Frimpong and Wirtz, but the current players should able to beat mediocre team. Unfortunately they lost with big margin, this show if Ten Hag was the problem.
In ETH's defense, he downplayed the result. He said he would be worried if it was a competitive match, but since it's a friendly, he's not going to lose his sleep over it. For the sake of his job, I hope he's right. I know it's friendly, and the result may not really matter, but it would be too bad if he loses the next match in similar fashion. Whether he admits it or not, it's not going to look good on him.

🚨💣 Understand Alexander Isak remains a target for Liverpool even after signing Ekitike… but depends on Newcastle.

If Newcastle open doors to an exit and #LFC sell Diaz, they can bid after direct contact made 10 days ago.

Isak, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 in concrete talks with Al Hilal so far.

It makes a lot of sense if Liverpool goes for Alexander Isak. Ekitike may not immediately hit the ground running. He may struggle, hence, having someone like Isak who's already established in the EPL will be the right move.

Initially, Newcastle United reported that Isak was left out of the preseason squad because of a minor injury he suffered, but it looks like he told the club he wants to leave, and that's why he wasn't included. Immediately after the news of his absence from the preseason squad, it was also reported by multiple sources that he has told the club he wants to leave. Let's see how everything unfolds, but I hope Newcastle United doesn't stand in his way.

When you keep funds for exchange, you no dey in custody of the funds nah the exchange dey in control. So to answer your question, e no dey safe to keep funds for exchange because you go fit lose your funds if the exchange go bankrupt, get hacked or the government shut am down. Instead use a non-custodial wallet to keep your funds safe and only move your funds to exchange when you wan trade.

Is your friend one of the bitcoin OGs? Does he has a large bag that can take good care of him and his family for the rest of their lives? If not, it's a dumb idea to discontinue his business. Accumulating Bitcoin cannot stop someone from running a business or working for other persons.

Also, going all in on Bitcoin is not such a smart move. It is good to diversify ones investment on stocks, real estate, gold, etc. incase it goes south, you will have others to fall on.

Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread
by

The season hasn't started yet and he may have started making statements to the press early. I hope it's not the same as when he was at Manchester United, where he started with losses in friendlies and then came his interviews in which he complained about players and the relationship with the players became terrible, then he made terrible signings.

Now at Leverkusen, he already had a defeat in which he conceded 5 goals in the friendly match. In 5 days, he will have another friendly match against Bochum, who were recently relegated from the Bundesliga. If he loses, it will be terrible for him.
Getting flogged by Flamengo U21 a few days ago was just a prelude. Xhaka knows Leverkusen is finished with ETH at the club, and that's why he wants out before it's too late. Another thing is that he's not fighting to move to a bigger club, as most players would do. He's fighting to go to Sunderland, which Leverkusen is obviously bigger than. That tells me he's desperate about leaving and does not want to stick around when the ship starts sinking.

It's obvious he does, why not? If liverpool could pay 79m pounds for Ekitike who scored 4 goals 23/24, 15 goals, 24/25 in BUNDESLIGA. Why should we laugh on Chelsea's 80m - 100m asking price for Jackson? They're also open in lowering the fees too.
That price actually makes sense, and can't be argued.  Tongue
I didn't check Ekitike's stats. I've been hearing his name in the transfer window, and I thought he's been scoring an average of 15 goals per season and could get better in the couple of years. I guess it's the number of goals he scored last season that's why Liverpool paid £79 million pounds for him, which seems like a big gamble on their part. I just hope he won't be the next Hojlund.

Re: Reviews on trading platforms: Binance, OKX, Coinbase, Kraken, and TradeUp.net —

Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the useful info and replies — really didn’t expect so many! Honestly, I wasn’t aware of CoinMarketCap before, so I’ll definitely start checking there.

I haven’t deposited any real money yet, just exploring for now. Also, I didn’t realize there’s a difference between tradeup.net and tradeup.com — that’s an important detail, and I’ll be way more careful with that going forward.

I came across tradeup.net through a detailed review by a trader friend. The other exchanges I mentioned I’ve known about for a while, mostly from other reviews too.

Appreciate everyone helping out a newbie here!
If you haven't heard about coinmarketcap, then I take it that you're new to trading. It is safer to trade on other exchanges you mentioned but not Tradeup. It's an unknown exchange with no reputation and it will be for your own good to avoid it because scammers all have fake exchanges. After depositing and trading for a while, you may not be able to withdraw your funds.

Re: Has El Salvador been lying to the world?
by

on 23/07/2025, 13:27:32 UTC
El Salvador probably wanted to keep their image as a bitcoin friendly country. Not only do they want to appear friendly to bitcoin, it seems like they want to be a country known for having a lot of bitcoin and possibly get investors in their country. I have seen some people doubt IMF's reports but what do you think? It makes sense if bitcoin has become El Salvador's political move.
I read the report too and I think IMF has no reason to lie. El Salvador clearly have been lying and deceiving everyone by moving bitcoin from one of their address to another to foul people into thinking they're still actively buying Bitcoin. They know the consequences for breaching the agreement with IMF and they don't intend to go against it.

PL summer transfer fees denominated in USD and BTC.

Interesting imo.

Nice one from sportsbet.io, but the list is not correct. So far, Hugo Ekitike and Bryan Mbeumo are respectively the second and third most expensive transfers in the transfer window this summer. The deals for these players and their new clubs were reached a few days ago, and this post was made today on Twitter, so I kind of wonder why they missed this.

hopefully ruben amorim's decision not to recruit another goalkeeper to replace onana is the right decision, because seeing his performance last season was not so good, he often made mistakes which caused manchester united to concede goals. onana must be able to improve himself and reduce his mistakes... he must be able to be grateful for this decision and please the fans by improving his performance. because honestly i also don't want to see manchester united in the bottom position again.
United needs a good goalkeeper in the sticks and I think they are weighing that option but it's just that it's not a priority. At the moment, they want to get a striker before looking at other areas worth strengthening like midfield and goalkeeper. I also think the amount they realized from the sales of outgoings will determine if they will sign a new goalkeeper or not.

Re: 'We Can Double Your Bitcoin', why are Nigerians still falling for this in 2025?
by
sokani
on 22/07/2025, 14:52:55 UTC
You've probably come across this kind of message "Send us your BTC and we'll double it" trick either on your Facebook, WhatsApp or Telegram. The painful part be say our Nigerian people still they fall for these kind scams every single day. And e dey make we wonder why abi wetin go drive you to go invest or send money inside one audio platform wey go promise to double your money within hours. Reason someone telling you to just send ₦100k worth of BTC and they will turn it to ₦200k for you within few hours or like some will claim they want to bless you.
I know say scams dey type but some scams nah something wey be say person suppose easily smell from a thousand mile, but yet people still dey fall for am maybe because them dey greedy or because them get the update from a trusted source. Yes oh, a trusted brother, sister, uncle, friend or whatever.

I say dis because e get the time wey somebody wey I know got scammed and wen we come dey yan about the stuff. According to him, him talk say, initially him bin dey skeptical about the whole thing but because him trust the person wey him get the info from nah him make him go ahead with the investment. But wetin him no kno be say, the account wey him receive the message from, dem do hack am and nah a scammer send am the message.

So like dis, whenever we receive such message. E good to find out if nah the rightful owner dey in charge of the account or not. And if no be them, nah to warn them so them go fit warn their contacts too.

What do you think, what kind of token sales model will emerge and boom at the end of 2025 or when the bearish cycle occurs later?
I don't know what token sales model they will come up with in the future, but I just know one thing. That no matter the designer clothing you wear a pig, at the end of the day, a pig is still a pig. So no matter the eye-catching name that will emerge, nothing will change. It's going to be the same pattern, the same trick, but with a different name and will still be used to scam people.

I can't believe Atalanta just sold Mateo Retegui to Al Qadsiah for €65 million euros. Honestly, I never saw this coming. As a club that wants to compete at the highest level in both domestic and european football, I think they've failed. They could have done a lot more to keep him, and their lack of ambition may be the reason Lookman wants to leave too. I'm sure many Atalanta fans will be disgusted by this news.

Vincius is an incredible player, smart, clinical, and decisive. Real Madrid wont want to lose a precious gem at his stage they are trying to rebuild the team to what it was in the past. We saw how they lost the La Liga to Barcelona, lost 4 matches against Barcelona and also were eliminated in the Club World Cup by PSG. That alone is enough reason why Xavi Alonso can never let Vinicius go, so far he is one of the remarkable and experienced player in the squad, so until the squad sits well with him, Vinicius still remains.
Real Madrid value Vini's contribution to the team, and they really want to keep him, but if he leaves, it won't be Real Madrid's doing. AFAIK, he has been handed a new contract, but he's asking for a higher salary. I don't know the details of the new contract, but I'm guessing it's more than what he was earning, and if they cannot reach an agreement, Real Madrid will have no other choice than to sell him. He has already been given a deadline to sign, or he will be put up for sale.

True, he agrees to cut his wage from 300k weekly to the 80k weekly. I was surprised he did it just to join in Barcelona. He decreased his wage for almost 80%. That's crazy he did everything wear Barcelona's shirt. It gives me vibes he doesn't care to the MU.
Your figure is not correct. According to goal.com, it said Rashford took a 25% pay cut to facilitate the deal. He was earning £300k per week at Manchester United.

So 25% of 300k will be 75k.

To know the current salary, 300k - 75k = 225k.

It means he will be earning £225 per week at Barcelona.
