Well none of this good news is going to matter soon if BTC keeps tanking. We're now officially in the $390's as of this post  Cry

April 9, 2014 partial results after 19 hours: 0.00293 BTC/day per MH/s (70% LTC)
Ouch, I just can't do this anymore with continuously declining profits, gonna have to stick with mining scrypt-N coins and just hold while hoping they skyrocket in the future.

...In addition, that hardware is going to be worth only a small fraction of what he paid for it initially by the time it becomes obsolete.

All of our hardware, GPUs included, will be worth only a small fraction of what we initially paid for it by the time it becomes obsolete.

How much do you really believe your video cards will fetch on ebay when they are lost within thousands and thousands of other video cards just like hem for sale by former miners just like you?  Have the recent events in the scrypt mining world taught us nothing about the economic laws of supply and demand and how markets function?

A month ago I sold a 6870 I bought over 2 years ago for 25% more than I paid for it in early 2012. In the future, there will always be people looking for video cards at lower prices for gaming. There will never be people wanting to scrypt mine with obsolete equipment that doesn't provide any ROI. So to answer your question, when everyone begins dumping their AMD gpu's, getting 50% of what I paid back is much better than 0 to 10%. Not to mention, I use my 280X for gaming as well, and only have one other card I got practically free. While your argument holds truth to a certain extent, that extent is substantially lower than you are probably aware.

Thanks for the info.  Looking at them right now.

$1Kh, that's a very steep price.   I imagine competition will erode that eventually.

If the user who is running 32 of these is only getting 10Mh that means their performance leans towards the lower end of the scale.  Warranty is only for 30 days, I wonder what the life is of the chip.

With this sort of pricing, I would not be throwing out the GPU just yet.   I keep hearing how these things are going to murder the game, but the above offering doesn't even compete with current GPUs.  (which will hold partial value even when mining is dead)

Not to mention, at current Litecoin profitability which CM is hovering around 100% of, it would take over 7 months just to break even at a cost of $6,000 and assuming a 0% pool fee, an electricity cost of $0.10/kwh and no increase in BTC value. Of course, that time is going to increase greatly between now and then due to difficulty continuing to rise substantially.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if this guy even broke even at any point in the future. The current cost and performance of gridseeds available now is financially and quite literally just not worth the investment. In addition, that hardware is going to be worth only a small fraction of what he paid for it initially by the time it becomes obsolete.

waffepool today so far = 0.00844659
here today so far        = 0.00614

ouch
That's pretty significant. But wth are they mining to get .0084/mh? None of the big coins even come close to that atm.
WafflePool just switched to a new fully custom stratum layer, and changed what qualifies as a rejected share.  Because of the change to rejected share determination, the WP stats are going to (for the first time) be more roughly equivalent to CM's stats.  Classically, CM stats always appeared falsely higher then WP - this should decrease now.

Why are we below LTC and not mining Aurora now?
Aurora has a very long maturation time before it can be traded, and is a highly volatile market.  You can mine AUR, it isn't unlikely it will be worth half as much when you can actually sell it at market.

"Below LTC" is really a misnomer.  CM's profitability to currently below the "statistically average LTC profit", which is a lot different then actually being less profitable then LTC mining.  PPLNS LTC pools will have periods far below and far above average LTC profit as well.

That being said, is Waffle pool really going to have an actual higher per day earnings than CM from now forward?

Take it for what you will...Clever mining has consistently been better when averaged throughout the past month. Jump around if you like, I'll trust this pool any given day over the others. I trust consistency over variable profits.

Here's the past week broken down daily:

Date                Middlecoin  CleverMining  WafflePool  HashCows     Coinshift
2014-03-18      0.0053626   0.006637      0.0057547   0.005987    0.0056726
2014-03-17      0.0068538   0.006595      0.0066297   0.005600    0.0054815

Here's the Average payout per MHs averaged for the past: 1 day, 3 days, 7 days and 14 days.

wooooo 127%

Well...considering 100% LTC profitability is only .00554 BTC / Mh / Day, that's really not that great of a percentage, especially considering LTC difficulty is increasing daily and therefore LTC profitability is decreasing daily. I'm really hoping alt-coin profitability in general increases again since nearly everything is down across the board. Conversion rates of alt coins to BTC are not in direct relation to the price of BTC which is currently only around $600.

Also, I noticed that multipool.us is currently mining Aurora Coin (AUR) and it looks like that's about twice as profitable at this moment than LTC. Hoping we see more like this with other coins in the near future.

Edit: well, never mind it looks like that has already dropped back below most other alt coins. That was short lived, lol.

Are we ever even going to see anything close to .01 BTC/Mh/Day again? It seems like ever since March 1st we have been lucky to even get to .007...

I've been on the NY server all night but my 'ready for payout' balance seems really low (0.002 instead of 0.01). Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I started having this problem yesterday in fact. My balances used to update every time the hash rate updated on the charts (every 10 minutes). Now I can go hours without seeing an update in my ready for payout, unexchanged, total expected and total profits. I'm not certain if the 1 Mh/s i'm doing during these times is being neglected or if the site is just updating less regularly. Either way, it's a concern to me. If I start seeing less than the advertised payout come through (right now it's .00650 BTC/day/Mh) then I will have to reconsider using this pool soon.

0.00643
BTC/day per MH/s

ouch Sad

To be fair, this is the market, not the site. In fact, CM is doing better than the big 3:
Date: 2014-03-10
Middlecoin: 0.00374712 / WafflePool 0.00576231 / HashCows 0.00470000 / CleverMining: 0.00661100

Has anyone else had an issue with immature/unexchanged/total expected NOT updating at all for the past 4 hours or so? Prior to 4 hours ago, my numbers in each category were updating regularly about every 10 minutes, now I'm seeing zero changes in any of my balances. Just wondering if I'm alone on this...
