Re: Feel like quitting
by
solarsun
on 19/09/2018, 02:22:22 UTC
Honestly there are more reasons to quit? When I see my rank become a newbie again I feel empty and nothing to do. And in the other side I see the market price falling without changes. But it keeps on falling down. Literally like I am far on achieving my goals. Can someone help me on what strategy I will do to get some merit points and how to do when the market price is low?

If your freaking out about moving down from Jr Member to newbie you need to work on keeping calm when things go badly and keep your mental game together.  Becoming a newbie is no big deal.  I made a commitment to build quality posts since the change and i already have been given a merit reward.

Start by making a quality post sharing your knowledge with the forum.  As far as the market is concerned just chill.  I think we will be turning around here very shortly.  You have already most likely sustained a massive loss so no need in selling now.

I believe if you simply remain patient and let this entire drama unfold you will come out way ahead.

it definitely has reached a bottom.  We have been steady bumping along this level for what feels like forever.  I believe they will pass the ETF which will spark the rally.  They brought it down here to accumulate tokens and coins.  They will raise back up to unload on the lambo boys.

Re: how governments can regulate digital currencies?
by
solarsun
on 19/09/2018, 02:11:12 UTC
Though it’s easy to see why governments would want to regulate the movement of digital currencies, the reality of doing so is much harder. A lot of wallets have no identification to them and rest on a server in a third party country. In the case of offline wallets in devices such as the Ledger Nano, they’re not connected to any network.so is it possible to regulate ?

Do you see all the sheep lining up to do KYC?  They will all bey the government thus making yo an outlaw that stands alone.  You will be then threatened with violence for using it.  This is where a free man does as he pleases as what your doing harms no other man and natural laws are in effect.  No idea what it takes to get humans to wake up to the fact we are being used as slaves for the elite banking class.  Privacy is the most important thing about this movement with the ever encroaching government.

Re: Accept the new system, it is the inevitable change!

It seems the entire forum is slowly making a switch to mass posting to quality posting.  I'm not sure the system has completed the mission yet but each day it seems like we are getting closer to cleaning up the mess.  I for one have taken notice since being pimp slapped by the forum leaders.  I see the good now with the new rule however I was not a fan of the system before this new rule was implemented.  Once the trash is out then a jr member ranking is special and I will not be lost in the mix as much.   I feel like there could possibly be more changes that could push the quality movement further forward if the forum keeps pushing the issue.

Re: Copper members can do sig bounties?
by
solarsun
on 18/09/2018, 00:16:54 UTC
I really hope you cannot simply buy your way into bounties for the price of a membership.  The prices to become a copper member is so low compared to potential payouts that I feel this avenue will be taken to abuse the system.  It would be cool if the Bitcointalk forum could somehow run a system where the bounties are not allowed to be participated in by copper members.  Those accounts I thought were used to help projects add imagery to their posts.  I feel like this issue could kill the entire spirit of the new rule.

Somehow with the addition of the new 1 merit per newbie I think enhances the stand merit system.  I think it will be a huge help for all of the real community members.

⭐ Merited by bitart (1)
The new merit system is better in my opinion.   Yes I'm screwed over now for the time being but this new rule has changed the game entirely.

You were a jr member lost in a sea of BS accounts.  So even though you were allowed in certain bounties your were completely drowned out by the spam accounts.  If you are able to achieve a merit when the spam accounts cannot then this rule has actually helped you immensely although on the surface it looks like you got hit with horrible luck.

In the end it comes down to how you perceive it and react to the data.  I'm going to simply continue and move forward.  My posting is obviously not up to par yet but hopefully one day I make the break through and all of a sudden I'm in a better place than I ever have been on the forum.  Everyone who got demoted is in this exact same position to succeed.  We just need to keep hammering away hopefully making solid and relevant posts that make a difference.

The only real site I have visited over the last year is Bitcointalk.org.  There is so much here I don't know how you could get through it all to get to a different site.  Maybe I will step out and see what coindesk.com is about as it looks like everybody recommends it.  Thanks.

Re: My Sad Story With Ethereum!
by
solarsun
on 15/09/2018, 15:21:38 UTC
I have joined in this form in November 2017! Before that, I did not know about Ethereum but I had a group for buy - Sell bitcoin! When my elder brother told about Ethereum and he ordered me to keep an eye on coinmarketcap always! That time Ethereum price was 330 USD and after few days, it went to 290 USD and the ln the bull market was started! But after almost one year, I have to see Ethereum price at 170 USD! I am feeling too much bad. What about you guys?

Just stick with it.  The game has barely even started.  Ethereum will go back to old highs within 24-36 months tops.  Most likely very sooner.  This is the hottest new industry right now and the big boy want to profit.  Just stay patient.

Re: Caution taken against the dumpers
by
solarsun
on 15/09/2018, 15:20:12 UTC
Looking at the altcoins markets lately, the price within short time from listing on an exchange falls drastically below the ICO prices leaving the investors at loss for over a long period of time. Some ICO projects find it extremely difficult to recuperate from such loss of value.
Some project now take a caution which is believed to help the investors makes some earnings before the dumpers spoil the market. They now lock down the bounty and airdrop earnings for some period of time. This is aimed at stabilizing the market for such token before the activities of dumpers which are believed to be mainly the bounty and airdrop hunters.

I think a lock up may be ok and should be considered by the bounty hunters as a way to help out the ICO's.  I do think they coins should be distributed to our wallets with a unlock date set in the contract.  This would help easy hunters minds.  If both sides work together we could all profit.  There is to much rivalry between projects and hunters.  The projects appear to really dislike hunters and I believe this causes some of the larger issues.

Re: It is Possible Ethereum Did Not Drop Due to ICO Sell Off After All

Possible it wasn’t ICOs

According to data provided by Diar, a research group that releases an in-depth weekly analysis on the global cryptocurrency market, the majority of major Blockchain projects based on Ethereum are still holding tens of millions of dollars in their Ethereum treasury.

I urge everyone to read and see if this make sense. The article says that its not the ICO's that has to blame for ETH sudden drop but the technology behind, dApps, because it didn't scale as expected giving investors false hope that's whey they dumped their ETH.

Although its also mentioned that most ICO had liquidated an average 62% of their ETH holding. So this alone has put tremendous amount of pressure on ETH that's why the price plummeted.

The prices are completely manipulated right now.  My theory is corporations and governments want in.  This is how they do it.  They come in and disrupt and scare people into selling.  We may now go sideways for a while as they attempt to bore and frustrate us to death.  Once they have what they want we will see a large spike up.

Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few?
by

I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?

I find it's better to limit the amount of alt coins one can hold so you can keep an eye on things and make sure there are no swaps or any other tasks you must do to save your investment.  Just enough to diversify and keep your portfolio as stable as possible.

Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum?

i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

I would say that going from Bitcoin to Ethereum would be a smart move.  When this turns around Ethereum will raise much quicker and swifter than Bitcoin.  You have to be in the market to win maximum gains or else the whales will grind you slowly.

Since january we all experience the red down lines
everyone experience this how long can you still hold your coins
and still hope for the best , are we waiting for another 3 years to reach the top
or we are now heading back to upward lines

I'll wait till it comes back.  The bankers are not getting into this and CNBC spouting off about it daily because its all about to just fade and go away.  You just need to be patient.  It's only been on a downward run for a few months.  It's not like we have been down for years.

Post Ethereum public address on forum if bounty asks us to
by

I'm unclear about this rule.  Are we allowed to post our Etehreum address in an authentication thread if the bounty manager asks us to?  I thought it was ok if the bounty manager asked us to however I also remember threads being locked because of this.  Please let me know.  Thanks

Re: I like to collect the token
by

on 10/09/2018, 19:48:57 UTC
Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

Yes I have over 500 different coins right now.  My son and I love collecting them.  Once they crash and burn totally I send them over to my sons wallet along with some IOTA, Bitcoin or Ethereum (gotta give him the real stuff also) and he is loving crypto.  i even have him trading a bit with me.

Re: Is there manipulation of sharks ?
by

on 10/09/2018, 19:45:56 UTC
I feel that sharks (Big traders) haven't collect enough Bitcoins. You can see that there were scandals when Bitcoin price rose. The scandals were exchanges hacked, China suppressed Crypto, etc whenever Bitcoin price up.
It's not a good news for Bitcoin and prevent price rise but it still rising, is this a signal that Bitcoin coming back ?
How do you think about it ?. I want to know your opinion Smiley.
Thank you Smiley

I agree.  The big boys are getting in now.  it will get very messy before it's all said and done.  They need to collect your coins.  If you didn't sell by now you will just need to sit tight.  They need to lift the rocket back up to profit.  The next phase will hopefully be us and the big boys dumping on all the retail investors who got the go ahead form CNBC.  Can't wait.  Grab as much as you can now.  The retail investors be hungry for over priced stuff.

Well there is your first clue that you should probably buy some crypto and blockchain assets.  Bill gates and his wife are some of the worst human scum on earth.  Look at their medical works in Africa.  LOL  they are attempting to sterilize the poor people.  Also AIDS is not real.  It's the medicine that kills you.  RESEARCH.  Don't listen to these criminals.

The market is very strange right now.  Just when the bankers and governments want to get in we have massive price crashes.  Seems to me we need to be accumulating right now as I'm sure that's what the bankers are doing.

Re: are there bounties worth paying $1000?
by
solarsun
on 06/09/2018, 04:13:47 UTC
The development of bitcointalk forum has really made a good change in my life ever since I was introduced into crypto. The forum has led me to search for bounties which pay well but I think the highest I have earned from participating in a bounty was worth $500. I want to know if there are very laudable projects which can fetch me over thousands of dollars. Guys, it will be a nice offer if you post some of the best bounties which pay over $1000 after completing the campaign.

I'm not sure these projects exist in 2018.  You missed the party by about a year.  Ever the great coins are in the dumps right now so new coins are walking a death gauntlet.  You would be better off pick up change on the street at this point.

I'm very interested to see how much work you are able to obtain with this method.  I have never seen a bounty paying in Bitcoin or Ethereum.  Please update and let us know how this is going as the outcome of this experiment may shed light on how to maximize profits as a bounty hunter.
