Today i opened my PPC wallet after a long time and found out that there are no coins.
But some wired transactions.
Here one of them: Status: 0/unbestätigt Datum: 13.04.2013 14:09 Belastung: 0.00 PPC Nettobetrag: -283.552158 PPC Transaktions-ID: f2ba648b81b0e252f0b4fbb1c4623662c5331f9c698868bf4186793c56ff1824
Staked coins must wait 520 blocks before they can return to balance and be spent. When you generated this proof-of-stake block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, it will change to "not accepted" and not be a valid stake. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a proof-of-stake block within a few seconds of yours.
Please can somebody tell me what hapened to my coins.
greetings maxl
Your stake was probably broadcasted to somebody. It is very risky to keep your stake online a year for a couple of percents. But at least you saved 50% of the energy.
You submit your private keys to CoinValidation and they remove coins from unvalidated addresses and escrows them until the sender validates, automatic in the case you use coinbase.
Question: What happens with mastercoin and colored coins if bitcoin forks ? They will disappear or we will have two from each of them ?
Mastercoin can exist independent of the Bitcoin blockchain. It chooses to use the Bitcoin blockchain because that is easier than creating a new blockchain like the approach taken by protoshares. Since Mastercoin can run on any blockchain if Bitcoin were forked then it could choose the friendlier to Mastercoin version of Bitcoin and implement itself on that.
ColoredCoin is also platform/blockchain independent. It can run on any blockchain as well. So this is a non-issue for either of them but it would set both projects back because it would require they spend time making the switch.
Thanks. Those who acquired mastercoins or colored coins would loose their coins in such a case when the underlying blockchain is switched ?
