Re: How to get Bitcoin Cash from many wallet/software/services with Coinomi
by
speedt_ouch
on 17/12/2017, 16:18:56 UTC

- Bitcoin Wallet (Android)
1) Download OpenSSL for your operation system
2) You have to make the make the backup of your wallet (on the android app), by choosing a password and then by moving the backup file on your computer.
3) Then put the backup file in the same folder where there is the executable of OpenSSL
4) Start the command line from the folder and execute this: openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -a -in backup_file > result.txt
5) Open result.txt. You will find much incomprehensible text, but at the beginning, there will be a list of 12 words. Save them somewhere. It is the seed.
6) Download and execute this: https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39/blob/master/bip39-standalone.html (Right click and Save as...)
7) On "BIP39 Mnemonic" space you have to insert the seed of your wallet, the 12 words.
8 ) In "Derivation Path" choose "BIP32"
9) On "Client" choose "Multibit HD"
10) You will get the list of your addresses and their private keys.
11) Sweep them with Coinomi

Update
- you can recover the seed from v3.47 or upper with https://github.com/gurnec/decrypt_bitcoinj_seed
- Some BCH could be on the private keys on son address with those settings on the bip39-standalone.html page
Client: Custom derivation path:
BIP32 Derivation Path: m/0'/1

Hi,
So I'm trying to claim my bitcoin cash using the method above, I got my list of 12 words and I past them in bip39-standalone.html
My question now is regarding the "Derived Addresses" I get in the result page of bip39-standalone.html
I get a list of 20 address [0-19] then I have a button "more rows" that shows another 20 and on and on and on it goes every time I hit the button.
In fact I dont know when it finished. I was unable to get to the end I always get more addresses.

My silly question is I must scan each and every address listed here to check if it has any bitcoin cash correct?
Every single address listed here was at one point created by my bitcoin wallet correct?

Is there any faster way to find out which of these addresses hold my bitcoin cash?
Thanks.

There are terrible people if this world...

Got a FAKE e-mail, notice I said FAKE.
Suppose to be from hashocean, but for sure its not.

Any way, the e-mail says to send more BTC to them so they can refund. WTF!!!

The excuse is that no database backup is available, so send payment, send e-mail, send only password the money you spend in Hash Power will be refunded.

My question to this FAKE e-mail is:

If the victims (hachocean users) send then the e-mail and say they had 500.000 power they get refund for this?
If no database backup is available how the hell will they confirm what I say. Besides any hosting company would have account backups including data bases.

What is more incredible is that I'm pretty sure this FAKE e-mail is already getting payments!
https://btc.blockr.io/address/info/18jEEyG9DTj6VsLfTscGkQS77G8FMK514t

Here is the e-mail sent from: Hashocean@hashocean-refunds.com

Hello, unfortunately these days our website hashocean.com, was hacked. Hackers took our domain and we have no control over anything. For our stupidity, we do not have the backup of the database. We will do the refund for you, but as we have not saved history, we will refund you your mining purchase under the following conditions. "Take the following actions properly, we have more than 700,000 users, and if we are looking for 1 by 1, would take years." To receive your purchases refund please visit: hashocean-refunds.com

Hi Ian.

I see your daily reports stopped on October.
I imagine all the time and work it take to gather and share the information here just got too much.

Anyway... has bitcoin diff goes up, profits have been going down mining bitcoin.
So I have been looking in to mine some alt coins.
If Im corret the designation is scrypt?! Has bitcoin is SHA-256?

I'm guessing that mining the less popular virtual coin mite be, for now, a little for profitable.
I thing the X11 plan GM has does this right? Mines the most profitable altcoin that day and pays out in bitcoins.

So I can get an idea of the earning per day for 1MH/s I was looking to see your values if possible. Or any other values.

Please feel free to share more information you mite have.

Thank you.

I will try and post some again soon

Great.
I'll be looking forward to see the values.
But still I wonder if my reasoning is correct regarding the altcoin mining?

I did something a little crazy today.

I purchased 300 MH/s of X11 hashpower.

The total price was 22.1385 BTC or at the time 5429 USD.

At the moment with BTC (AUTO) this means I will get around 0.09 BTC a day so if things go ok and payouts seem stable then it could be quite profitable.
This will be for 1 year and also maintenance costs are already included in the price.

Looking at GPU prices, to mine 12 MH/s X11 at home requires something like a GTX 980TI GPU and that costs around 700 USD or in the UK over 600 Pounds.

So for me purchasing 300 MH/s this way seems a bargain compared to the amount of GPUs i would have to purchase to do this.
300 MH/s X11 would require 25 Nvidia 980Ti Graphics cards, so 25 x 700 = 17500 USD or for me in the UK 25 x 600 = 15 000 GBP or almost 23 000 USD. Yep, you USA guys get quite a good deal on hardware.

Then I would have to purchase mainboards, memory, install OS's and PSUs etc and then having to then pay the electricity costs on top which is already included in the price I paid.

If the payouts continue to be 0.09 BTC a day, although naturally Crypto is an ass and will punish me down the line, it could be possible that if Crypto is kind that I could make ROI in 245 days leaving the other 120 days as profit but as we all know, it never works out like this most of the time.

Just hope some big baddass X11 Asics do not come out in the future although I am not aware of anything apart from some USB Stick X11 miners which might or might not exist. Some people have ordered them, but not sure if they have actually got them or not or if they work.

Wish me luck!

Ian

Hi Ian

That is a huge investment Smiley
I hope all goes well for you.
I'm holding some satoshi's to invest in some ghs of S7, what are your thoughts on it?

I have a question regarding hashnest if you may... Its regarding there graphic
The serpent like line, before it was most of the time on about 0.01, now days its lower than 0.008.

What does this mean? That mining is becoming less and less profitable correct? And this values going down is because of the difficulty increase?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Still getting exactly the same value per ghs from genesis has you.

Genesis Mining added X11 contracts today so now users can mine Dash and Start coin which are both X11 coins natively.

There is also a BTC (AUTO) option so this means that if you allocate hashpower to this, then they take the most profitable coin which can be either Dash or Start depending on which is more profitable during the day I would guess and then at payout time they trade your Dash or Start coin payout to BTC and pay out as Bitcoin.

This seems quite interesting so have purchased 1 MH/s X11 and set it to BTC (AUTO) to compare the payouts.

The price of 1 MH/s is almost 24 USD which is slightly more expensive than 50 GH/s SHA 256.

The difference is also that X11 contracts are 1 year only but do not include any maintenance fees so there is no extra coming from your payout each day.

So I will add these to the payouts from tomorrow and it will be interesting to see if purchasing X11 will be more profitable than buying SHA 256 hashpower.

I have also purchased 2 other contracts and allocated 1 MH/s each to Start and 1 MH/s to Dash, so I can list those payouts too if you like.

Give me feedback!

Thanks

Ian

Thanks.
Ill be looking at your thread to check the results

OK, I changed the Y-axis to allow room for a little more free-fall.  If it gets any lower than 120 Satoshi/GH/day it will be turned off soon anyway.

At least you get something still no payout do you have  a new contract or an old one?

And log in still not working. This problem only occurs with me?

Always trusted genesis i knew it isnt easy making money but now i am seriously worried i hope a statement comes soon.

greetings dead

This is a new contract starting August 24th with USD 0.0015 per GH/s as the fee.  I started it as a test and it looks like I'm not going to get very far with it.  I can still log in so that's a bit strange for you.

Geez, I didn´t realize that very recent contracts were tanking this badly. Now the only hope is that bitcoin improves and difficulty drops or at least doesn´t rise much.

Estimated Next Difficulty:    58,805,372,775 (-0.89%)  Smiley

Care to share one of you screenshots to see how hard you were hit with this payments drops Smiley

I would have liked the "Gift" if:

- 0.0012 USD per Gh/s per day for purchases starting from September 16th

Was

- 0.0012 USD per Gh/s per day for all existing contracts

That would be nice.

Whats your opinion on that is it correct that when the reward is only half at current price all contracts will go out of business??

If the price does not go up, a lot of mining operations are likely to stop.

There is even a risk that bitcoin will come to a standstill, stuck with a high difficulty and not enough hashrate to solve new blocks.

Cant the difficulty go down?
It should, profit for mining is getting less and less

Payout info for Mining Day 14.09.2015. All payouts listed are for 50GH/s and are after the maintenance fees have been removed

Genesis Mining 50 GH/s  0.00011427 BTC

Spondoolies 50 GH/s  0.00006635 BTC

Hashnest

Payouts based on 20 blocks found.

Hashnest S3 50 GH/s - 0.00005736 BTC  PLNS  Minus payout today for the S3 hashpower

Hashnest S4 50 GH/s  0.00000484 BTC  PLNS

Hashnest S5 50 GH/s  0.00009972 BTC BTC PLNS

Hi.
Thank you for sharing this updated list.
I have been getting more and more disappointed with genesis.
I'm receiving half of what I was receiving a month ago. There is no info on block, pool, or on how much was deducted for maintenance fee...
Anyway, I did know they did not disclose that information when I opened an account with then.

I have a 350GH/s account and my payment for the 14th was: 0.00079986 BTC (0.00079986/350 = 0,000002285)

0,000002285 is exactly the same value has your payment for the 14th for 50GH/s (0.00011427/50 = 0,000002285)

Since monday, average dropped to 100GHz most times even lower.

Thanks in advance.  Smiley

Have you tried resetting the U3's (unplug both power and USB) and then restarting CGMiner?

Yes I have rebooted all hardware.
Removed power and usb cables.
Tried with other cables. All the same.
Plugged USB cables in different USB ports.

No difference.

Most of the time 115/120GHz that is pretty good I believe.

Since monday, average dropped to 100GHz most times even lower.

GHz?  Do you mean GH/s?  The hash rate, not a measure of frequency.

There is no answer, U3s do what they do, be lucky you have two that work at the same time.

LOL Smiley yes I mean GH/s. Sorry.

I guess I mite be lucky then. It took a lot of trial and error and a decent hardware computer:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=827356.msg11803834#msg11803834

Are you using the garbage power supplies that came with them?

If so, switch the higher hashing one's power supply to the lower hashing one and see if the hashing rate on them changes around also. If the hashing switches, you need better power supplies.

That I did not think of.
I must try that.
Thanks for the suggestion

Just logged into Hashnest, and it's asking me to set up 2FA ? It's giving me some code I need to verify with Google, but can't seem to find a way of generating the verification code :|

Any ideas ?

In the Google Auth you need to "Set up Account", scan the qrcode and you will have the code generated.
Place that code in the given time in hashnest site textbox.

Hope it helps

Sometimes it gets held up a little.  Things happen.  It has always corrected itself in time, you will get credit for the blocks that were solved where you held hash eventually.

Same here.
